Starting a new sg

So, for the past four years me and a few others have been together in a sg and to be honest things have started to get very childish so i have decided to walk away from everything and start my own sg.

So, my question is:
Is there a way to send invites to my other toons offline so i do not have to inconvience a friend to sit there while i log all my toons in? Or wait for one of them to log in.
I appologize if this info is listed somewhere, i did look for this for quite awhile.

Nope. Unfortunately there's no way to offline invite.
Best you can do is get a friend to help you out. Have them create a throwaway. Recruit it into the SG and bump permissions to just below the SG Leader/Owner/SuperLeader. Then have him recruit your alts in, bump their permissions, and then you can boot him (or he can quit).

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Are trial accounts still able to create an SG?

I know they were not SUPPOSED to be able to, but for the longest time they could anyway. They can't join a SG, but they could create one.

If yes, then just create a second trial account and get a character up to level 10, use that character to create the actual SG.

Then log the main account in on a second computer (I don't think you can run the game twice on the same computer), and use the trial account to get your main account characters in the SG.

They can't join SGs. At least, in theory.

Easier: Use your main account to create the SG, invite in your level 1 alt-account, give appropriate permissions, and don't worry about leveling the alt account.

Well, my point was that at least up until last year (the last time I checked), a trial account could not JOIN a SG, but they could CREATE one.

Using a full second account would require shelling out extra real world cash. A trial account avoids that.

Of course, this might be moot, as I don't know if they closed that loophole.

You can generally just ask on Help or a Global for someone to help get your alts into a SG/VG, depending on the server. (Virtue is good for this)
There's usually someone around with a character who is not in a SG that can do this.

Thank you for the quick responses

You can. I do it all the time.

Huh. Odd, I get a "cannot run two copies of the game" pop up and it stops me.

[edit] Okay, I see, the LAUNCHER can only run one at a time, but if you launch the game, THEN start the copy, it works.

So you'd only need one computer.

Just be aware that you need a decent machine to dual-box. It doesn't have to be an expensive high-end machine, but you'll want something with at least double the RAM and V-RAM requirements of CoH to do so. So at least 2GB's of RAM (more is better of course) and a graphics card with at least 256MB's of V-RAM (once again, more is of course better). You'd also more than likely want to lower the settings somewhat to ensure that you have enough resources to dual-box unless you've got a somewhat better than decent machine.
