As a hero, I've looked up the "villain only" badges that I may soon need to obtain if this expansion goes as expected.
44 Exploration
4 History
24 Accomplishment
4 Achievement
17 Accolades (note: this only counts one patron badge)
20 Gladiators
7 PVP
18 Defeats
6 Day Jobs
5 Mission Architect
a total of 149 new badges. -

So with this... we'll finally be able to get the 1000 or so badges you see on dev toons now eh?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not convinced we'll actually get hero ATs running freely around Cap. "Visiting" the Rogue Isles could be as simple as the way that villains go to Paragon for Mayhems or such.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm pretty sure this is entirely the point of the expansion. This is a feature people have been asking for pretty much since the release of CoV.
I'd be shocked if what you are presuming is actually correct. -
If it's more of a server issue, than a lack of interest in those characters, Don't forget, server transfers are also a possibility.
If you are not really feeling at home on Liberty, and you have the cash and character slots to spare, you have the option of transfering those characters over to Virtue as well. -
In Positron's "FOLLOW UP: Abusing Mission Architect" post last week he stated:

These changes wont happen until I15, but well get a list of the alterations to you guys early next week.

It's now officially late next week.
So, How about that list of changes? -
Having the same problem. Virtue. Black Market. Crashed 5 times so far. It happens when I click on an item to make a bid.

- Man in Black is only available to heroes in a PVP zone.

Heroes can also earn this badge using a mission from Pilgrim's arc in Ouroboros.
Accomplishment:
The Rescuer badge also uses generic exploration artwork. -
I still experience sync issues regularly. It is still limited to only one specific character. I would estimate this happens greater than 50% of every time I load into the game or enter a new zone.
The partial fix works. I never stay out of sync more than 10 seconds. It's still slightly annoying, but nowhere near as frustrating as when this issue first presented itself. -
Might as well join in.

Er... the anniversary is the 28th. Getting the badge before then is a bug.

It has something to do with something in my account i have had since beta - i checked with Customer Care the last badge i got when i saw the date for the 60 month and they confirmed it was a correct date for whatever reason, i know there are a few betas left out there that even get the badges before i do - was hoping one of them might have gotten it already.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is inconsistant with my own expierences and probably should not be expected. I too was in beta, played in the pre launch head start, and have never let my account lapse.
I'm still not scheduled to get my 60 month vet reward until April 29. -

I've got a question. Does the badge you get for collecting 600 badges COUNT as a badge?
I'm asking because technically, it would be impossible to have exactly 600 badges if that were the case...
[/ QUOTE ]
There is no badge for collecting 600 badges. -

Double influence from City Official and Banker Day Jobs?
-
I never really had a problem with the difficulty of the mobs in the zone, the travel time between missions or even the fact that there wasn't a hospital in the zone.
What made the Hollows unappealing to me, (and I don't see it addressed here), was the lack of rewards for the missions in the zone. Not a single mission badge. Not a single temp power to be gained.
Those two reasons alone were reason enough to stick with contacts outside the zone. -

I'm lucky if I've gotten 25 million actual earned inf over many many characters including a level 50 with the 3rd inf badge. I have sold some pretty good things and gotten inf gifts also which may push me towards 50 million, but this is for 15 months already .
At this pace the last inf badge will take 80 times as much time as I've spent in game already, if I concentrate on one character completely.
[/ QUOTE ]
I hate to tell you this, but influence gained from selling items or given to you do NOT count for the influence badges at all. The only influence that counts is that earned through defeating enemies or gained by completing missions, story arcs etc.. -

In all seriousness: Unfair to those that earned the accolade early? I have yet to see a post from a player in that situation that has opposed this idea. All of these posts seem to indicate that it is overwhelmingly unfair the way it is now.
As long as new accolades are added to the game or the level requirement for others are lowered, the problem will get worse. Issue 10 is the perfect example of this. Even to players who did get thier accolades at the earliest level possible, is it fair to them that someone can get Vanguard even earlier? Or to all existing players that new players can get a new accolade at level one?
Making all accolades available while exemplared, clearly seems the fairest thing for everyone. -
Hi there. I don't actually have anything constructive to add to this topic. I just dropped in to make fun of everyone who posted here, because this thread is, well, getting kind of long.

I've played many a computer role-playing type games in my time. Many had a separate screen with a representation of you character, your gear, your stats etc.. This screen could be refered to as your "character" or "character sheet" whereas your "toon" would be the mobile representation you see while you play the game.
What baffles me is seeing that people use the words "toon" and "alt" interchangably. Alt is an abbrieviation for alternate, and should ONLY be used to refer to characters or toons that you do not consider to be your main or primary. -
I didn't see it mentioned in this thread, but Damage Taken Badges ...
It has been reported that powers such as Dull Pain and accolade that contribute a hit point bonus interfere with these badges. Its' said that any extra hitpoints gained above your original base must be depleted before any credit will go to these badges.
Has this been confirmed? Is this intentional? -

The count has been changed to 50 contaminated.
[/ QUOTE ]
I keep seeing people post this 50 count. Every time I have ever gotten the badge on any character it has been 100. So I had to test this myself. I created a new character on test to see if this was true. Guess what? It's not. The count is still 100. -
A question about pillboxes and heavies: Are progress towards these badges made for everyone on the team when a member captures one, or are these on an individual basis only?

From the "Now testing" notes:

Demonslayer badge is now given for both CoH and CoV versions of Baphomet.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, it's not. Ran the Villain mission solo, defeated Baphomet, no badge. It's worth noting that the Heralds (and then the big demon himself) started spawning after stopping only 4 or so of the 9 rituals.
[/ QUOTE ]
the version of baphomet (or any other monster for that matter) in a mission does not award a badge. it may have when CoH first came out, but it hasn't been the case for quite a long time, if ever.
[/ QUOTE ]
I know for a fact I got mine in a mission CoH side. I was also unaware that Baphomet spawned anywhere else except inside a mission. -
the "Gunner" badge is now awarded properly on Test. It is obtained my converting your ore samples in Bloody Bay.

Did you know...
A specific origin type needed to be cautious about choosing Atlas Park as thier starting city. Thier first contact would introduce them to Jose Brogan. He was nigh impossible to find. The compass arrow that is supposed to direct you to your contact did not work for him. He subsequently became better known under the moniker Jose "Broken". -
Jumping in on the Egg McMuffin analagy here.
It doesn't quite work for me either. In theory, I can come back to McDonalds any time I want (during breakfast hours) and get an Egg McMuffin. McDonalds is telling me, however, that since I ate breakfast there once prior to 1973, when the Egg McMuffin was introduced, that I am no longer allowed back in thier restaraunt to purchase one.
