Sounds like you should get something to 50 and try a Kheldian or Soldier of Arachnos, those are the closest things to 'hybrid' ATs in the game.

It own't really matter on a trial account since you'll be level capped at 14, but the forum's filled with horror stories of newbies that get powerlevelled to 50 within the AE and become completely useless anywhere else in the game. Don't go down that road.

I think they've only done the name purge once.

Basically, Dual Blades custom characters are gimp. People often use them when they want to go easy on people.

Claws would be wrist-mounted knives (several of the options are basically this), bionic attachments, magical energy beams, darn near anything. Don't forget Origins.

And the devs have pretty much admitted that the current board software is all kinds of terrible.

I'd probably rather call them 'Frostfire-class', given that everyone's first punching bag is basically the Wispy Woods of CoH.

Last night I led my team on a Manticore... I petitioned for a GM to get rid of the 40 PPs for us. First time they arrived quickly and killed them, the second time they took forever so we decided to take them down ourselves. They were about as tough as AVs, but we won. Later missions we could avoid them. By the time the GM arrived, we were fighting Hopkins...
