Hero Stealthiness
The Rikti drones will see you anyway, so toss that argument out the window.
Do you want Grant Invisibility? If so, grab the pool.
Stealth, Combat Invisibility and Phase Shift are available via PVP missions. (Phase Shift of a sort also being available via temp power.) Unless you're planning on using Stealth heavily, there's not much reason to look at the pool, IMHO.
Slot SS. *shrug*

not that they don't see you with SS, but that they are less likely to hit ya if you zoom zoom past.
I do use stealth constantly as a kinda added defense. I have it 6 slotted with LoTG and it makes it harder for things to hit me, particularly if I jump in the middle of aggro to RA a tank.

basically, if you see a miki on Triumph, it's probably cute and it's probably me.
Huge thanks to cuppamanga and all the folks in the mac help forum for prolonging my borrowed time on this game.

Nearly all my toons achieve 70 ft PVE stealth one way or another.
I find it terribly useful.
I also end up dying 2-3 times on new toons just because I forget I'm not as sneaky as usual and get too close
It depends...
If its a toon that doesn't get Stealth as part of the primary/secondary powers obviously the pool power is not needed.
If its on a toon that doesnt have the inf to get a Stealth IO and I need Stealth (for concept or for pure power play reasons) Then I generaly take Stealth from the Cocealment pool with an eye on respec'n out of it later and getting an IO.
That is "unless" I want the other powers in the pool such as Grant Invisibility or Phase Shift.
Any toon I take that has Super Speed, as a rule of thumb, ends up getting a Stealth IO. Unless, of course, they have a Stealth power, I need the other powers from the Stealth pool or, for reasons of concept or power play, the toon does not require near-invisibility.
But to you actual question, SS + IO is just as good as SS + Stealth providing near-invisibility. BTW I believe that Stealth (the pool power) + the IO also provides this if for some reason you dont want/need SS.
So lemme get this straight:
Stealth (pool power) + SS with Stealth IO = invisibility?
How about
Stealth (pool Power) + Stealth IO slotted in Run = ?
Which one is greater? Invisibility or Stealth+SS with stealth IO?

to correct, in PvE
SS with Stealth IO = invisibility.
you don't need the power Stealth with that combo.
Stealth + Sprint slotted with Stealth IO = invisibility
SS + Sprint slotted with Stealth IO = invisibility

Drones still ya! <dangit>
I've been using Stealth and Invis. for a while now on several of my toons and I love them both. However a friend recently suggested ditching the pool entirely in favor of getting SuperSpeed and slotting with a +stealth IO. His arguement is that stealth slows you down, eats end., and leaves you more open for sharp-eyed baddies like Rikti drones.
What do you guys think? Which is better? Taking the concealment pool or slotting SS?
