Given that a respec presumably involves making a lot of major changes to your character's data at once, I'm guessing that the 'respec failed' mechanism is a failsafe to prevent your data from being corrupted if something goes wrong.

From 1-5, I don't think there's many real story arcs, you tend to blow by those levels too fast to notice.
However, there are a chain of zones that with a series of contacts should get you from 1-50.
5-15: The Hollows (has had serious improvements. See if you can run the trial!)
15-25: Faultline (some of the best arcs in the game)
20-30: Striga Isle (in case you need more XP. Set up a hospital and teleporter in your base. Culminates in a Task Force)
25-35: Croatoa (also ends in a Task Force)
35+: Rikti War Zone, Cimerora
And for the record, many City of Heroes contacts (outside the above zones) share the same story arcs as well. -

I think some president or starfleet captain once said, there comes a time when good men- people, should, uh, start leading teams, even if it takes, uh, radio missions...

I'm surprised a bunch of nerds can talk about countries without Japan getting involved.

Quote:Eh, it'd probably get too many accusations of "Why should I play knights and dragons in this game, when every other game has that?"I'd love it if we got a time travel midieval zone - we already have an ancient one in Cimerora, so the next step forward in time would be midieval.
Medieval european fantasy has been done beyond death in MMOs. -
It's not hard to put together a real mission team if you use the Search function, make an effort and have some patience.
I'm expecting buffs to Maniac Slammers any day now. -
I don't really see how that concept limits you at all, though maybe that's just me.
Power armour+nanites= ANYTHING, if my comics, video game and movie experience teach me right. -
Lots of flamewars, whining and DOOM. So, the usual.

I see. Yeah, Axe eats end like nobody's business, at least the damage is pretty nice. I'll just have to find teams and/or just wait it out.
Playing this has made me want an Ice Brute, they'd be awesome. To heck with slowing fury, when you can herd half the map and recharge your end... -
On the other hand, they blew up Greenpeace's flagship.
I mean seriously, Greenpeace can be annoying, but that's just a dick move. -

What was really fun, though, was how unfair the game could become at times. For instance, a friend of mine had a screenshot of a unique skeleton, who was immune to physical damage, immune to cold damage, resistant to fire and ice damage, and strong against poison damage. What the [foul language] am I suppose to use to fight this [REALLY self-censored] thing with? Wishful thinking? And on top of that, the game was ugly. Uglier than the original Diablo, in fact.
Well, Guild Wars is uninstalled, back to checking Evony in between sessions. Yeah sue me, the game has a dodgy charm. And I think my alliance just split. -
Yay, we're famous!
And PK has a real life Flareon in his avatar eh?

I like it when I stand around with the Arachnos cape and people ask how I got it.

You've been told in other threads, but you're perpetuating an incredibly negative stereotype, and having two resurrection powers does not give anyone confidence in your abilties.
Weren't you taught that prevention is better than a cure? -
Check the ticket exchange service in the Architect, you can choose the level range you want salvage for. (as long as you're high enough to be in that level range)
-
I sincerely hope that you're gonna have a second build that's actually good. Concept builds are fine and all, but should expect that teams may not want to accomodate your self-imposed shortcomings.

My Ice/Axe just hit 29 (I think) and I've been soloing a lot, suffering the usual tanker problem of not dealing quite enough damage for my liking. Survivability is no problem, I barely use Hoarfrost, and I've started herding entire floors so Energy Absorbtion works as well as possible.
I've been complaining on JFA and hear that if I properly slot EA, I don't need Stamina anymore. Is there truth to this statement? I'm gonna do it on a second build just to be sure, for exemping and all that, but if I can respec out of Stamina and pick up more attacks (hello Whirling Axe!) and Icicles, will Energy Absorbtion, slotted for recharge, suffice for my End needs? -
This is a game where a bow and arrow is a weapon on par with an assault rifle.
And you're arguing over the effectiveness of a whip? -
Vegemite, also made from leftover beer ingredients. It's the most Australian food.

I never trust any character with more than one rez power.

Is it any wonder that City of Villains has all ATs with a damage-dealing primary?
CoX: even our healbots do DPS. -
They're also not available in the AE at all, except if you choose ordinary drops for Dev's Choice missions.
Purples are pretty much exclusively used by the rich farmers and general crazy people. However, they can drop for anyone, and selling a purple drop can keep you in regular gear for weeks.
