But I consider running paper mishes over and over again at difficulty lvl 4. my best bet when you solo. It's not a typical farm but the repetitiveness to makes it farming. Having teammates or better, geting someone to pad would help. Make sure you're not in SG mode, you get less drops. <- It was only until recently I discovered this about SG mode, if I had known I wouldn't have complained so damn much, my bad.
Uh, SG mode doesn't affect drops at all. And come next issue, you won't need padders anymore, you can set your mission to have the enemies for 2 people or 8 people or anything in between.

Now I know I was simply wasting all that time
Don't you want them to get all the Day Job badges?

Yes, purples are not and never will be purchasable with merits or tickets- they're gained by killing enemies in normal gameplay. This is entirely intended.

Purples are basically there to be endgame content for the tweak crowd who have to have the best phat lewtz, even if most people won't notice them. They're even more optional than the entire Inventions system- the game is still balanced around SOs, though they probably take IOs into consideration, and purples are meant to give decent rewards to the players who make the effort, through playing, farming or marketeering, to get them. But if you don't wanna use em, you won't be disadvantaged for it, and if you happen to find any you'll get a nice windfall.
  4. In short, SR is a 'late blooming' build. For much of the game it's rather sub-par, but all the powers come together to become a great set.

There's a reason it's considered to have good synergy with Broad Sword and Katana for levelling, because of Parry/Divine Avalanche. The fact that it's a redraw-light set with +recharge to help BS's big heavy attacks is icing on the cake. OF DEATH.
  5. Yes, you can get the accolade without rebuying the game. Just buy the $10 item pack.

I'm thinking, like someone said in another thread about reporting these guys as a player, the three strike rule. "Bio, name, costume, if two are blatantly in violation I'd report them". While this isn't my personal standpoit I can understand players but shouldn't GMs have strickter guidelines?

Only if Marvel's lawyers will tell us what their guidelines are.

yer so change the name, andd a couple tanker friendly powers and boom tough ninjas =P
Actually, I like the sound of this. Maybe change the set name to Bushido.

Most people in open beta probably either log in once to check out the new stuff and leave (me), or spend all day in character creation checking out the new powers.
  9. It's 10 bucks. I've spent more than that on lunch, and the dev are far less likely to drain your credit card.

    Spines/DA

Funny, I've got one of those too, though I'm building him as a farmer. So I'll be keeping an eye on this thread too I guess.
  11. Redside Lusca would be thematic.

Port Oakes, St Martial and maybe Mercy Island need GMs of their own.
  12. As said above: They're all on CO, Test, school or just waiting for the next Issue. The servers tend to be quiet just before a major update. The calm before the storm.

    Ninjutsu

I wonder how a Ninjutsu aggro aura would work.

A Caltrops that attracts foes instead of scattering them?
  14. Do the unlockable Crey rifles actually work yet?
  15. And I can use Combat Jumping as a thematically appropriate ghetto travel power if I'm gonna slot the Winter's Gift set... excellent.

    5th costume

Prices are always highest just before the Halloween event. Stock up for your alts, please clean up your spawns, and be prepared to fight zombies at any time.

I could watch that analogy all day.
  18. Croatoa has a few as well, like the awesome looking Rune of Warding, Iron Blade and Bow.

Though I think you can get those temp powers, or a toned down version at least, from Flashback missions.

You know I don't care about anything besides meow farms, right?
  20. Currently my style is using my Supercollider. Finally, a use for personal storage vaults! Now I just gotta stick one in my base...

Anyway, I'm currently 23 and tearing up DA, but still getting killed every now and then, especially by those damn Shamans and +2 mobs. (the bosses aren't too much of a hassle, I bet I'll have the badge in no time) I'm wanting for Immob protection and the Resistance offered by my empowerment station just doesn't suffice. I suppose Cloak of Darkness is the next power on order.

I've skipped s travel power thanks to a handy rental jetpack which I think I'm gonna start getting regularly (I usually have money left on the gift cards I use to subscribe, I feel it's worth it). This has allowed me to get active a lot quicker, but I have a Winter's Gift set in storage and noticed that Dark Armour doesn't seem to have any slow protection. If I get a travel pool, what would you reccomend and how soon?

    Ninjutsu

You know you want it. And it'd be less work than Scrappers, I believe Tankers don't get Caltrops. Replace Hide with... uh...
  22. Ninjutsu is the most thematic for Stalkers, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't fit on Scrappers too.

They'd have to replace and re-order Hide and make a Caltrops replacement, but those shouldn't be too much of a hassle. There's some good ideas in this thread.

    Comedy option: Ninjutsu Tankers.
  23. I think /FA is the closest you're going to get currently, and it looks cool besides. Especially with customisation on the way and the Fire ancillary pool.
  24. I remember using Ignite and Burn (AR/Fire blaster ftw!) to remove particularly stubborn PPs during the Manticore TF.
