If I'm not mistaking, don't the Rain powers also use the Blaster's damage cap?
Which is the same as a Corruptor's, but lets a Kin/ Defender take advantage of an additional +100% damage. (Which is quite handily reached on larger teams) -
Quote:while that may be truew the tshirt shop's quality is also alot lowwer then most t-shirt manufactures
I've been told that a major cause in quality loss for T-shirt prints is the supplied graphic.. For one, raster image files are a disaster for quality (files that hold data in pixels, such as jpeg, bmp, etc). Which also make up the bulk of anything your computer puts out..
To get truly good quality you want vector graphics, which holds it's data in an mathematical algorithm. (meaning no quality loss if you blow it up/shrink it down) Which are much harder to come by, and 'Print Screen' doesn't output them either.
My point being; that the low quality is probably as much of the consumer's fault (for unknowingly supplying raster files) as it is the print shop's.
Granted, this was some years ago, and times might have changed. -
Great stuff here, a couple of my favorites are;

Also helps powers with an absurdly low accuracy modifier to begin with, like most of the troller AoE holds..

Quote:This is both a blessing and a curse in my opinion.. I'm glad that I don't always need about gathering the perfect balance of skilled players in order to pull off a TF.. However they do get monotonous at times..
I hated the pacing of WoW. It was slow and coming from CoH, it just wasn't as high octane. However, what they did/do really well are boss encounters. They are dynamic, require strategy and coordination, and when you've completed them are very satisfying. It's not as simple as Tanker taunts and the boss never attacks anyone else and it's not like the tanks don't need healing, heck sometimes you have 3-4 healers on the tank. I feel like there isn't much danger in CoH TFs or trials. During Reichsman, we had one tank taunting Reichsman and whatever other AV was up and we just never stopped attacking and I never moved my character once. It took a long time to kill him, but it wasn't satisfying.
Perhaps they could implement a "Heroic/Villainous" option to the more difficult TFs.. These would require more strategy, and give double merits or something for the extra challenge? -
Looks pretty interesting..
I would suggest changing the Tier 3 to actual Mez Protection though.. 40% Mez Resistance is pretty lackluster for a defender/corr buff, even if it is AoE.. Especially whereas FF and Sonic, have AoE Mez Protection (aside from sleep) with defense/resists layered on top of that.
If you're adamant about keeping it Mez Resist, I'd add on some on something else.. Perhaps an additional Debuff Resist depending on the AT that it hits?
Tanks could get more Defense/Resistance resists
Scrappers/Blasters/Brutes/Stalkers could get Resistances to -dmg and -to-hit, etc. -
No, leave us with our 2010 Power, at least I can comprehend what you're typing now ;P

I team up for fun..
Having a Shield scrapper or two clear everything without my help is not my definition of "fun".
However, I realize that they too are trying to have fun, and probably are, indeed, having fun.
At which point I generally politely leave the team after a mission or two is complete. -
Quote:I was going to suggest something similar.. A debuff of some sort that can only be rid of by attacking the taunter x amount of times, or to that effect.. So you can still target other mobs (which would prevent targeted Toggles from dropping), but your to-hit, recharge, or damage is debuffed until you attack your taunter..If not maybe it can also be done by acting as a tohit debuff against everyone besides the taunter? You can still attack but the taunter is being a distraction to you making you less focused.
It would also expire via a timer, of course, like any other debuff. Just that attacking your taunter makes it go away quicker.
Not sure if this would be implementable though.. -
I personally have no quarrels with the current ticket system..
However I wouldn't mind at all if they allowed us to purchase a recipe of our choice for a huge amount of tickets..
So let us carry more tickets, and give us the option to purchase what we want for a large sum.. Doesn't really hurt anyone, but should benefit many. -
During 1-12 I only really level on "Power" levels, unless I'm doing something else/logging off on an odd level/have downtime etc.
I'll pop TO's that I find in my slots, and buy +accs for important powers like heals with a to-hit check.
After that I'll generally slot up each level unless i'm on a very fast paced team..
At 17ish I'll equip some level 20 IOs in my more crucial powers, because they give a nice boost over DOs,
then at 22 I'm pretty much IO all the way up. -
Hey folks,
I've Recently returned to CoH after having some account issues..
I'm also temporarily on an Apple computer as I'm not currently in possession of my old PC.
So while I know CoH can run on OSX now, I set up a Bootcamp partition for Windows XP serveral months ago, so I just went ahead and installed CoH on that.
I've been using the Bootcamped XP for awhile now and it works surprisingly well.. However a headache I felt early on was the mac Keyboard.. While it did work, some keys were in the wrong places (notably the ALT and Windows keys).
So I downloaded a program (KeyTweak), to make the Apple's Alt/Option key act as the Windows key, and the apples Command key to act as the Alt Key.
Thus far every program (Blender, Firefox, etc) has accepted this change.. However CoH has not.. In order to use the "Alt" key I have to press the "Alt" key on the Apple Keyboard (which is normally where the Windows key would be). Which causes the effect of both keys combined (it does whatever Alt would do in-game, as well as bringing up the Taskbar, as the OS reads it as the Windows key still).
I tried manually changing the keybinds in-game by pressing Command(on the apple key, remember that would be Alt on a windows board), but the game doesn't read it as any input.. I then tried entering in the hex value within a text file in place of LALT (the hex value of the apples Command key), but that doesn't seem to work either.. I even tried using CMD and Command as key inputs within the keybind.txt for the hell of it, neither of them worked..
So now I'm outta ideas, short of swapping out with a PC keyboard whenever I'm using the computer..
Anyone have any ideas? -
Hmm I wouldn't mind having this!

It seems to be an unfortunate rule in MMO's that all the really cool stuff is limited to NPCs..

He's been hanging out with these guys too much;

Ah, thank you for the tip, I shall try it out =)

Well it worked, but I'd still prefer the other cursor..
However I guess I'll use it until the problem is fixed or someone can think of another way.
Thanks again! -
Hi folks!
I'm experiencing a fairly strange problem with my mouse cursor inside of CoH..
The problem is my mouse cursor is totally invisible, unless I move it. It is visible while I move it, but then will go invisible again once I stop. Along with some other minor annoyances..
Now I found a temp fix that seems to reliably work.. Rebooting my system. On a fresh reboot the cursor works fine. However if I boot up then decide to play CoH several hours later, I have to restart my computer in order to fix the problem. Which, to say the least, is very annoying..
So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what's causing the problem? I did a search and looked through this section a bit and didn't find much that helped me really..
So far I've tried 3 different versions of Videocard drivers, none of them seemed to have fixed the problem (aside from it being temp fixed on a fresh boot)
Here's some of my computer information;

^ Ooh I really like that one!
-
Well I'll give it a shot..
-
-
Well I have a concept/ name that I tend to follow, which derived from CoH.
A demonesque girl character.. Usually black/teal color scheme. I tend to stick with shadowy and/or magical types of powers..
Some game's that I used her incarnation for are
CoH
Champions Online
Perfect World
I've also made up a personal model of her, seen in my signature. -
D'aww thank you^^
Quote:I can say with absolute certainty that I've played this game far longer than any other. Approaching 6 years here, closest competitors are Diablo 2 (2.5 years) ...
The only other MMO that really comes close would of been FFXI.. I played that for about 2 years and clocked in about 200ish real-time days of play time.
I've been playing CoH off-and-on since launch, and I still love it! -
