Make MM t1 minions only -1 in +3/4 missions?

I have soloed at +4/8 options with my bots/storm MM for certain mobs. That MM plus my thugs/PD MM both solo AVs. There isn't a whole lot in the game my MM's can't handle.
Bots and Mercs are ranged ez mode, though.
Well, the obvious solution when something is too hard on a higher difficulty setting is to switch to a lower difficulty setting.
So where do my Thugs fit in? In my experience, any/any MM is easy mode.
If you are having issues, then look at your macros/commands for your pets first. There are a lot of guides that help control your pets so they don't run off and die and such.

...Wait, WHAT? Mercs are... Mercs are AWFUL. I play a level 50 Thugs/Dark MM... My wife has a level 50 Mercs/Dark MM. Our builds are both pretty much done and, well...
If mercs are ranged easy mode, then thugs are God Mode. Because my Thugs/Dark MM is like a god. But maybe Mercs ARE easy mode. But so are Zombies. I've never touched Ninjas, though. Because I'm a pirate. And that would be creepy.
The only buff MMs need is some AI fixes. And Poison buffs. Poison needs buffs.

He's been hanging out with these guys too much;
Due to the purple patch, they pretty much do not affect +5s and die instantly, same with +4s. MMs got hit hardest by the new i16 difficulty options with options for much higher level mobs.
