Quote:I *believe* the point of the prices is to be high enough to prevent it being "overly used," but low enough to be attractive for occasional use. And they are much cheaper than most MMOs, TBH - with the occasional sale coming up to make them moreso.
Pretty much my feelings on the matter.. I've seen server-transfers as high as around $50 on other MMO's. -
Lol the Priceline commercials (with Shatner) was a nice touch.
-
lol I like the picture of Cooper, what an awkward position to fall asleep in..
(at least I think he is asleep?) -
Quote:Happens to me quite often as well..Happens to me all the time too. I think it is because I use the mouse to turn, so when the pointer disappears then reappears due to holding down the right mouse button I can't locate it again (usually in a big fight).
Fortunately I use hotkeys for most my major powers, so its not a totally dire situation if I'm in a big battle or something, just a bit disorienting. -
Ironicly, wasn't it James Cameron who was dissing other producers for turning films into 3D that weren't filmed for it from the get-go.. Then he turns around and does it?
Talk about being a hypocrite. -
I would totally dig this option, give us some cool glow options! Preferably hair (or 'streaks' in the hair), and better eye glowing options w/o auras.
Also having some/all of the selectable costume patterns being able to glow would be neat too, as well as certain doodads on costume pieces (like the visors on the Cybrog/Vanguard sets, etc).
While we're dreaming, I'd love to have the 'reflective' option on most every piece as well. We have it on a few shoulder pads/belts, and some tech armors come built-in with a reflecty-look (in Ultra-mode), but I'd love to be able to toggle that on/off on any piece I wanted.
(I actually thought this was coming with GR, as they mentioned something along the lines of reflectivity options for armors..) -
Heh..
It looked to me like they were both fooling around for the first 40ish or so seconds, but then their testosterone got pumping too much and 'it got real'.
If they both kept their cool it might have been something harmless and fun for the audience to watch..
Although I don't really condone the guy in the white shirt for starting crap with a street performer.. But then again we don't really know *how* it started, since as soon as the video begins Batman is already ticked off, but we don't really know why (something about the guy grabbing his cape from the sound of things) -
Quote:Is it bad that the first thing I notice about this project is that the opening entries are a fat, white kid and an Asian? I don't think he could have gotten any more stereotypical than that.
LOL my thoughts exactly.. To make matters 'worse' the Asian guy is playing the loli-girly dwarf character in L2 lol.. *ducks* -
Quote:In general MMO terms it means to give a lower level character way more power than it should normally have access to at that level.. Either via the means of spending obscene amounts of gold to get the best weapons/enchants, or to have higher level toons 'gear them up' with stuff from quests they have no business finishing, but can still use their rewards (which are generally meant for levels much higher than what the "twink" is at) Or a combo of the two.I only know of this term in one context... and it has NOTHING even passingly to do with D&D or any other type of fantasy or comic character... as such, I am unable to concentrate on the discussion.
VERY common for low-level PvP toons in that.. big Fantasy MMO game.
At least that's what I think of when I hear it..
So in his context, Drizzt could be a twink because they gave him way too much power for a 'mortal' character.
/end speculation -
While I was delighted at the new cast speed, I always thought the SB animation was a bit to jarring for Clear Mind..
I'm personally happy to hear it's back to its older animation (just quicker now).
Would be nice if they did include an alt animation though. -
I would love to just have "turn on ragdoll" emote..
Like the NPC's have after they are defeated..
I dunno, I just always get a laugh out of ragdolls, and would like to toggle that on a ramp or something and watch my toon roll down hill xD -
So I wonder if FOlivias child vanished as well..
Or just changed fathers?
Can't have Peter's kid without Peter.. or can you? o.O -
Quote:Ahh I see, guess I should have looked a bit closer at that aspect. It's too late now, but FYI, unsubbing and resubbing within the same day did not lose access to the Loyalty Rewards. Black Pebble stated as much several times in answer to questions about that, and since my subscription decided to come up during the period in question and didn't auto-renew for some reason, I had occasion to (nervously) test that, and found that it was the case.
Doesn't really matter though, it was kind of a 'on a whim' idea, so I wasn't terribly distraught when I found it too much hassle to transfer.
Though this will probably come up again if I ever want to buy a booster pack, so it might be wise for me to resub on my credit card xD -
Quote:Would halving Radiation Blast's -Def debuff, but also adding in a good chunk of -Res debuff be broken? Probably, but I sure would love it xDDefender blast sets that could use better secondary effects are Radiation, Assault Rifle, Archery, and Energy. The rest of the secondaries have pretty useful to awesome tricks.
Was thinking maybe something around half of Sonic Blast's, so like 10% on Defenders. -
I had a similar problem a few weeks ago.. I wanted to buy a server transfer, but required a credit card on file in order to do so.. However I am playing via PayPal so I have no CC on file..
I do, however, have a valid credit card, but the only way to put it on file seemed to be canceling my current paypal sub (at the same time losing the Vanguard pack), and resubbing using my credit card as the payment source..
Any sort of "add credit card to file" option seemed to be blatantly missing. After visiting NCSoft's help and FAQ section I came to the conclusion that one does need a valid credit card, and you also have to cancel your paypal sub and resub using a credit card, in order for it to 'go on file' and be usable.
So I just forgot about it as it was all just way too much hassle..
I hope you have better luck than I. -
Diablo II and Starcraft are on the list, which pleases me..
Still would of rather had an actual Warcraft game aside from WoW on there though.. Although it's impact on MMOs in general is quite pronounced, so it probably does deserve a spot. -
If I remember right, they did 'fix' this sometime back.. But it introduced a nasty bug as a side effect, so they reverted the change.
Not 100% sure on that though, but I do seem to vaguely remember something like that happening. -
and for the love of god, fix the "useful salvage" and "are you sure you wanna post this IO for so much money? it will cost x amount of inf!" warnings.. They have been broke (keep coming back after each time you zone) for a long time now, and its fairly annoying to have to keep toggling them off.

lol fun stuff.. Something I came up with right quick;

Quote:I used to use Gale on foes from above, and if I recall correctly, the results were more like knockup than knockdown. They would kind of "spike" off the floor, if you will. (bounce off the floor, fly up a few feet, then land)
One particular experiment I want to try (and the basis for my saying that knockdown and knockback, while very similar, are not exactly the same) is blowing an enemy straight down into a variety of surfaces, and contrasting that with what happens when an enemy is truly "knocked down." In theory, a knockback that is perfectly angled would be exactly identical to a knockdown. I don't think this is what would happen in reality, but lining up a perfect shot like this is much harder to do than it sounds. I do, however, know from experience that putting an Ice Slick on an angled surface causes enemies to fall on that exact spot, where knock back on the same surface will cause them to hit, and slide down the slope. Which is why I say that denying the existing of knockback is a little like denying the existence of "death," because it is the same thing as "having no hit points." -
Is your sound card also Nvidia? Some Mother Boards use Nvidia sound chips.. If that's the case, something might of went wrong when you installed your drivers (like accidentally uninstalling your sound card drivers).
But as pointed out above, try the Tech Support section, you'll probably get more help there. -
Quote:Missed that in the patch notes.. but you're right xDThe DoT can stack up to 5 times, and yes the rain can apply the DoT now. Patch AoEs with Reactive are extremely powerful now.
Holy crap, Rain of Fire with this thing + Scourge is an absolute beast.
Everything dies in about 9 seconds, from JUST Rain of Fire, (boosted by Fulcrum Shift, though). That's Minions and Lts, Bosses would take a bit longer..
Then the mobs I tested it on had self rez (inside AE), so they'd all raise at the same time, and be dead again before their animation was finished LOL. -

I just imagine Mother Mayhem talking like William Shatner.. Since she already has the awkward pauses.
Makes for some good chuckles.
