  1. MA is what my first 50 is, and I recently dusted her off just to respec her into the new age of inherent stamina, and SHE ROCKS. I unlocked her alpha and she soloed Trapdoor and the final mish. Unfortunately, I was in the pattern of "completing" the second, I really wish I hadn't as I'd like to see how well she does. With all the stun, etc, that's all good and fine, but with /inv she only needs three people in front of her to be capped on...S/L and something else. And she's got a horrible econo build. Haymakers, etc.

For secondaries, I like /wp and /inv, though they are the toggle heavy ones. Get rezzed and need 15 seconds to toggle up = teh lame.

I've started BS/SR and she stalled at 20. Claw/Elec, which I deleted after a thread where everyone bashed it, and it confirmed how I felt about her, she didn't measure up [others my differ.]

My most recent attempt at a scrapper was my wanting ice armor. OH, I want ice armor. So I rolled a tank. He's a big ol slab of frozen meat compared to a scrapper, but ice armor rocks so much. Oh, he's ice/dark.

My opinion on dark is that it's kinda like SS with all the punches. Punches are boring, but dark is a toolbox. And, I know it's a tank, but look at ice/dark over there. No one plays it because it's a weird "theme" but holy cow, it's a god.

Oh, but roll every single combo and get them to 20, if you don't like them at all, delete. If you are a little bored, just park them. Only certain toons have had the ability to get taken from 1 to 50 as I focus on them exclusively. Kat/WP, MA/Inv, and a Fire/Ice*/Fire blaster.

    -75% Range

OK, I've read the forums for quite a while, and we all know that confront is totally worthless.

Only yesterday did I find out it's a 75% reduction in the enemy's ranged attacks. So, you get a 70 foot single target pull where they won't shoot at you.

    Sappers anyone?

Or am I wrong and this is still useless? [I'm sure not going to respec into it just based on this new info.]

    Why no Ice/Dark?

Edit: I did find info on ice/dark tanks by searching on "midnight hoarfrost."

He froze to death and now he's back to avenge something.

But I like to mix up the damage types, and really on a tank I can't see taking anything besides pyre to get the FBall and to slot a Basilisk in Char.

This thing is easy to slot up. Using just Haymakers, 3xEradication, Seredipity and Aegis, I accidentally got over 50% def on E/N and I'm capped on S/L. I'll fix that.

I'll try to fit in Hibernate. I had to take out Tactics for Hasten, which causes me a little pain since last night Praetorian Resistance handed my butt to me. I didn't see them do it though, and that's the problem. Still no travel power, but Ninja Run and that 30 second jetpack thing, as well as a trip to buy a Raptorpack in the Shard, should get me where I need to go.

Well, cool. Besides the fire hole, this could be good. But there's nothing to do about the fire hole, and it's a big, grande fire hole.

    Why no Ice/Dark?

I generally play scrappers or blasters, I have a few controllers, but generally I shirk any role of responsibility to the team. But now I'd like ice armor.

I'm not seeing any ice/dark out there and it seems to be amazing. Great S/L/E/N defense and every dark attack does at least -5% ToHit on the enemy.

(if you don't know what ToHit is, it's like boosting the defense of anyone that enemy is attacking. So, an AoE had that effect for not just you, but anyone being attacked by any enemy in your aura.)

2x damage/taunt toggle auras, and Energy Absorption. And while Touch o' Fear was initially looking like crap to me, the 22 second -10% ToHit rocks very, very hard.

It looks too good to be true, so I assume it has to be. There'd be no end issues with the two recovery powers, two heal powers, slow resist.

    So, what's to hate?

[I'm not prepared to put up a build right now, but the only powers I'd skip would be Hibernate and Shadow Maul, take Fire Epic to get Char, FBreath and Fball, and only take Fighting to Weave, Maneuvers and Tactics.]
  5. Disclaimer: I didn't read but the first 20% of this.

WELCOME TO THE LEAGUE OF EBIL MARKETERS!!!

Re slotting things in fly: just the Winter's Gift -slow, nothing else is worth it on a tank.

Others will/have had great advice, so I'll move on. Keep that inf rollin'.

    So, 20 and 21.

I lose my Choking Cloud but keep my Cinders. I'm hoping my respec/reslotting can keep me viable even without stacked AM. Though I'm unlikely to not have AM unless I faceplant, and that'd be less than a minute at that.

    Brilliant. ty ty ty.

That's handier than logging in each one. I'd just need to log each one in at least once and remember to keep the thing running.

Doesn't Herostats push data to Titan network also? I tend to run Herostats to find which powers are doing the most damage per session, etc, so it's usually on.

Yeah, this might be the closest to having a number in front of me that there is.

  11. I thought I'd read that either the Titan program or Herostats could keep track of how much inf each toon had and display to me the sum of all that. I've installed both and messed around with them some, but I don't see any features like that.

I've been mostly coasting for a while and I know I'm getting around 2b or less. I'd like to know how much I do have.

I know if either of those does that it'd only count what's on me, not bids, etc.

Anyone know if either of those do that? Otherwise, I'm just logging into every toon and checking them.
  12. Oh yeah, well my dad can beat up your dad.

I've got KF about 1/2 to her pre-47 plan, which is tons better than the way she was. I'm not sure I'll be able to get all five sets of Basilisks like I was planning, but, eh, life is rough.

Next week we need to do something very difficult as a test. Or tips, for a-merits, set to +4. Anything but ITF [done too much lately], Citidel, or the Shard [both the most irritating things ever].
  14. Master Blade's team did well. I was testing out an old toon and doing some stupid risky things, which didn't kill me, but, oh, I guess I'm weak to ranged energies.

The only snag we had was on the mountain round thing. It's not the dwarfs that are such a wall of pests, it's the stupid novas. Geez.

Rom was a wimp as usual. Getting the traitors on the roofs was a slaughter, like making popcorn or something.

I think we maybe have only had one or two DCs. I had a full client crash, which is common for me since the last update.

    Amen.

What a bunch of blaster haters...If you had my fire/ice with permahasten [actually 8 sec overlap] on your team, you'd understand why you want her on your team.

No defender can do what she does. No corruptor can.

For buffs, I hover with stealth, use fire shield, lay down a bonfire under me sometimes, and when the health goes south I phase. If I die, RotP, then I stay on the ground and buzzsaw Blast, Ball, and Blaze, or just Ball and Blaze if I can get some speed buff. [I'm usually rather irritated after I've been killed.]

Tell me which defender is dishing the pain like a fire blaster, huh?

If you're going to diss blasters, do it with dominators, but that's a different role too.

And I have nothing against scrappers, 2/3 of my 50s are scrappers.

[note: Yeah, I throw out the AoE to the point I do need an aggro magnet on the team. After all, RotP only recharges every 79 seconds. ]
  16. A warshade is an insanely powerful AT in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. Most people can't figure them out though. I'm sure there's some insane footage on youtube.

I'm working on it, but ugh, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to perform even close to the limits of a warshade. And, yes, I've got binds set up.

The buffs from the team are great, and it seems they change during the missions. I've had a damage buff that changed from 110 to 160, back and forth. ???

[I don't know about PBs, made one, flew around some.]
  17. I'd like to get in on this.

Bringing Saltier the fire blaster, though I'm tempted to get one of my scrappers and try to squeeze through the pets.

[the reason I never reply to the facebook invites is that it's blocked at work]
  18. I rolled one a few days ago after reading your guide, Dechs.

I do need some advice/lessons in how to do some things. I'm only around...I guess 17 now, but dropping out of nova to mire and then back in, generally I try to stay as far away as possible when in nova, but I need to be in the middle of everything to get a good mire. It seems to take a while and I'm not sure it's worth the time to get the boost.

Also, when I've got aggro as a nova, I'm dropping to human and giving them some unslotted tier 1 and Sands of Mu. I'm not sure that makes any sense, but the nova is such a glass cannon it doesn't take much.

Does anyone ever put a freebird stealth in nova?
  19. Could you put me down as an alt. [I tend to worry about ruining the MoStuff.]

I'd bring either a Kat/WP or MA/Inv scrapper, both 50's, Trixi Chalk and Ink Girl, respectively.
  20. I'm a bad man. I'm going to bail on you tonight so I can run the ITF with my MA/Inv to get the nictus piece, NotW, and some shards.

[Though, if I did run w the frads, Kaylee Foxtrot would probably ding 47 and I could fix her broken self. She really can't run with a normal team except for buffs and imps she's so endurance broken.]
  21. I'll be there with my 50 MA/Inv, Ink Girl, that I recently dusted off and unlocked her Alpha. [I was shocked she was able to solo it, minus the middle mish which I "completed"]

She's a little endurance challenged so if I could be on the team w Fiona or some other /Rad. I'll craft the temp endred power before to help some.
  22. Don't forget you can "complete" the mish.

Though I regret doing this on my "old, busted" MA/Inv which ate Trapdoor for lunch, then I completed the middle mish, and then ate the final mish. She's not good on teams due to her endurance problems, but I didn't know she could solo.
  23. Yeah, I'd think he was misplaying it. He really rocked though.

    He wasn't a warshade.
  24. Last night I'm teaming with a scrapper on tip missions. If I remember correctly, which I might not, he was a BS/SD.

After each group was dead, he would use a power that put a jagged circle on the ground, in gray, and then it would pull into him, then he'd run to the next one. I assume he was pulling health or endurance out of the dead bodies.

I've looked at the epic pools for heroes and villains, and thought maybe he was DA instead of SD, Even DM...but there's nothing that fits that.

    What was that?
  25. Didn't look at it in Mids, but put a performace shifter unique in both stamina and dwarf.
