Are we ever getting new customizable costume pieces? I know that the devs are focused on the Incarnate content (whoop-di-doo) but I think some more customization would be fun as well. Something to keep the game interesting.
Maybe some more headband options? Having only the 1 hairstyle with the headband is boring. Or maybe a headband option that goes over the eyes? (Ninja Turtle-esque) Or like, the plain t-shirt, maybe a chance to put some designs on it or whatever. New belts, like the one the Kheldian contact in Atlas has or like Scirocco's? Or the chest details, keep em all and have the option to put them over jackets and whatnot. Get the chance to make a real soldier in the game (Camo jacket and stealth chest detail)
Idk, this is just me thinking of what could help add more variety to the game. I'm seeing a lot of look-alikes in the game nowadays and maybe it's time to add something new? Just saying... -
So I was playing around on CoH earlier, decided to make my first Defender and I started wondering, why don't Defenders have Fire as a secondary? :/

Does anyone know how to change the color of the glow around your feet when you have Super Speed on? I saw a guy with a purple glow a couple nights ago and I never knew that was possible.

So after finally transferring my prize toon over to Virtue, I was able to get up to Level 43, with the help of a new SG, but I seem to be stuck now.
I've been trying to run new TF's but everyone always seems to lean towards the TF of the Week and I'm getting tired of doing the same thing over and over again. At this point, I think I've lost count of how many times I've run an ITF.
Any suggestions? Since I'm a vigilante, could I run over to red side and do something new there? (With the exception of contacts and standard missions, I gave up doing those at Level 30) -
Quote:Dude, OMG that's awesome! lolCertainly. See the Kronos vs. Babbage video.

Setting: High Park, Kings Row, Virtue Server
So, as I was running around, I encountered a Winter Lord and 3 Clockwork Paladins all in the same area. The Paladins were in the same group and the Winter Lord was where the initial Perez Park gate used to be.
I was talking to my SG and someone same across this question: Would it be possible to confuse the Winter Lord enough to attack the 3 Paladins? O.o lol -
Quote:Sweet! =) I'll definitely look into doing this! If you can post up some more links to other helpful parts, that would be great. Wanna see what's recommended from the gaming community before I comparison shop myself. Here was his link from his posting over in the PQ section.
Well the obvious two things is memory and graphics.
Should be easy to upgrade to 4GB, even if you won't be able to access it all with 32-bit Vista, you should end up with more than 2GB. Now on one hand the documentation lists that your motherboard has 4 memory slots but the picture on the support page only shows 2 slots with the other two not installed (not memory not installed in slots, the slots the memory go in not installed, click on motherboard link to see picture). 2x2GB of DDR2-800 CAS 5 is around $60-70. If you really have 4 slots, then adding 2x1GB sticks, and you should use a utility like CPU-Z to discover the specs on the sticks you have so you can match them, is likely $35-40 (all prices here are from NewEgg).
As for graphics well here's the problem. The power supply in your system is very weak, too weak to handle a mid range video card. So you can either do nothing with your PSU and be content with a very low end video card like the nVidia G 210 or an ATI HD 5450, either are more powerful than the integrated 6150SE graphics you have but are still much too weak for any of the UltraMode options, for around $40-50.
Or you can also upgrade the power supply as well and take advantage of more powerful video cards. The power supply in the 430-500 watt range, a good quality one, should cost around $60-90 but are usually on sale or with a hefty rebate. This one lists for $90 but is on sale for $70. That power supply will let you get something like the HD 5770, which lists for $130-140 and can easily handle moderate UltraMode settings. Heck that power supply should be able to handle anything but the most power hungry, high performance video cards on the market today. -
I have a Compaq Presario SR5510F desktop computer. I was wondering what I could do to upgrade it's performance and possibly run a smoother gameplay. I have turned off my Ultra Settings and turned down my Graphics output all the way. I'm running the game at it's minimum. Here's the specs for my computer from cnet:

Any opinions, suggestions, and ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you! -
Yeah, most important things I needed are my costumes... other than that, I remember the Game Client every time =)

Quote:I have a similar card and I've been having these problems since i19 launched. My contacts list freezes, I try to talk to a contact during a mission and my game freezes (lucky me, it's always at the end), I try to switch costumes and it'll freeze again. I've never had a problem with the game freezing until the new update >.<I've tried the suggestions in this thread, and restarted in safe mode . That usualy allows me to log in, and close my contact widow.
The bug also commonly occurs while talking to contacts, and on the rare occasion that a mission clickie brings up a dialog window.
I've a N'vidia 6150 so the problem isn't restricted to ATI, and am running with every possible graphic setting turned off, or at minimum.
This is well below the settings I used successfully with this computer when my account was last active.
As I can restart the computer, and/or play other toons, without affecting the frozen toon, I think there is some server side component to this problem. -
Something you could try would be to save all her costumes at the tailor and just copy the costume files over from HER costume folder to YOUR costume folder and re-create her toon on your account, since you NOW have her costume files. Again, you would essentially be RE-CREATING her toon and leveling her back up again but in a sense, you DID just move her toon from her account to yours. Just saying =P

Well, for fun costumes, I'd lean to the Martial Arts pack and the Magic pack. I'd say to get the Superscience pack as well eventually, for the Super Tailor, so you won't be subjected to just one body style (i.e. go from big to small with a toon for dramatic effect) lol
-
I usually base my toons off of cartoon characters or video game characters. For example, my toon Neksis is mostly based off of Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden. My second toon Sirory is a Saiyan, based off of Dragon Ball Z (literally all his costumes are based off a Saiyan character from the series; Royal Saiyan, Goku, Turles, Bardock). My newest toon is based off of Uncle Iroh and Fire Lord Ozai of the Fire Nation from Avatar: The Last Airbender. LOL
I even tried making a toon that resembled the Gundam Wing Zero bot from Mobile Suit Gundam, never got him up and running. Also made Link from The Legend of Zelda in 4 different forms (green tunic with master sword and hylian shield, red tunic with biggoron sword and hylian shield, blue tunic with master sword and mirror shield, and young like with kokiri sword and wooden shield for when i get the superscience pack)
I keep all these costumes saved in case I find the time to finally run them =) -
Best to worst?:
1-Martial Arts Pack, robes are pretty cool and Ninja Run's great for traveling, found it can keep up with SS
2-Superscience pack, allows you to change gender per costume =)
3-Mutation pack, Secondary Mutation's a fun power, plus some of the costumes are pretty cool
4-Magic pack, just for the capes and hoods lol
5-Mac Edition In-Game item pack, for mission teleporter and valkyrie costume (wings and cape right off the bat for new toons)
6-Good vs. Evil In-Game item pack, for Pocket D teleporter and Jump Pack (combined with Sprint and Ninja Run, feels like a toned down SS/SJ combo)
7-Origins pack, for the capes and auras
8-Cyborg, Wedding, and Party pack all go last cuz they give much fun (unless you like killing yourself with a self-destruct power lol) -
I know! Like, when I log on now, I literally don't do anything but stand in the spot I logged into and just talk all night long. I don't run missions, attack random groups, nothing. It's all basically pointless since the second I click on something with the mouse, everything freezes.
-
This is becoming a real problem now. I can't even get through the tutorial with a new toon without the game freezing when I try to talk to one of the contacts.
Has anyone else been having these problems since i19 game out? I've never had these issues before, until i19 launched. Now, it's an everyday thing, happening multiple times a day. -
I like to to stick more to the Microsoft products. I have an Ergonomic MS keyboard and matching mouse (which i need to get replaced due to sticking trackball
)

Quote:What other alignment powers do you get? I've been thinking of going full circle with my toon and I wanted to see what each alignment would give.It has nothing to do with incarnates. that is an alignment power. the countdown is a 7day long temp power that wehn it expires will give you a temporary fear power you can use unless you switch alignments.
Also, how do the enhancements work? Like, compared to IO's... -
I don't understand the whole Incarnate system. I've read it over in the Wiki page but I still don't get it all. Can someone explain it in depth so I can know what I'll be doing once I get my 50?
For example, on my toon Sirory, next to where the active powers show at the top right of the screen, it shows "Countdown to Fear Incarnate". What does that mean? -
It's never asked me to report anything, my game will just go to black, stay frozen for a bit, then my window bar will say the game's not responding, causing me to exit out and restart everything that I was doing. It happened on me 3 times this morning before I gave up for the day. ='(

Yeah, I know it sounds weird but my game has been crashing more often than normal since the i19 upgrade! I have nothing running in the background. Usually, i'd have AIM turned on but it kept slowing me down so I've kept it turned off now. I did a system restore a week before i19 and it actually made my computer faster, along with my game. But since the launch of i19, my game has been crashing like CRAZY!
For example, I go to the tailor, try to pick which costume I wanna alter, game freezes, does not want to respond, crash. I was flying around Faultline, everything seemed fine. I stopped flying to check some tip missions, game froze, didn't wanna respond, crashed. This has never happened to me before. I'd hate to blame my issues on i19 but it's been happening ever since.
Anyone else have any other ideas why this would happen?
