Super Speed question

Does anyone know how to change the color of the glow around your feet when you have Super Speed on? I saw a guy with a purple glow a couple nights ago and I never knew that was possible.

For what it's worth the desire to customize Super Speed (and others like Hasten) have been among the top power pool powers people have wanted to be able to change/modify for years now.

It's a decent substitution for Sprint, flavor-wise, for an Ice themed character. At least, it's how I envision my character sliding on a thin layer of ice around the city.

I find your lack of signature disturbing.

Except you don't actually run - you kind of slide along the ground. I call it 'land surfing'.
It's really cool when you combine it with Superspeed.

I'm aware of what it is. I started with that edition. *shrug* Worked for "exhaust" pre-rocket boots, too.

Aye, my Ice tank uses SS and PPS this way.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Works good with Ninja and beast run too,
You get the standing animations, the Jump animations, but they still slide and have the blue/purple feet glow.

I also use it sometimes for a "plowing through water" look around the feet of a character who's based on a naval warship.

On my Ice-themed characters, I usually use Prestige Power Slide with the Speed on Demand binds. That way, it only turns on when they start to move. It usually seems to take a step or two before the slide starts . . . which is perfect, concept wise. The Ice character has to form the Ice and then slide on it.

It works great with Super Speed, though, too.

Local, that's a fantastic idea I hadn't even thought of until you said it.

I'd like to hijack this thread to once again make an futile request that I/we the community have the option to disable the graphics of any power in the game which covers parts of the character's body and/or the entire body.

Hasten, Super Speed, Ice Shields, etc.

Disabling primary and secondary graphics will never happen which I acknowledge but at least they can offer a disable option for some of the pool powers.

You can get ALL of those originally "special" sprints as part of a veteran reward. It's pretty high up, so you need a few years of game time... (mine have it).

Rant not needed - or do you think the devs don't know we want this? The issue is coding - the most precious thing for any game. And how to store the data? As you can change pool powers it is not the same as storing the data for customized primary/secondary.

Just to clarify - only the pre-order sprints and not the power slide as the slide is/was offered as an explicit purchase and not a freebie.

I wonder.. considering there's only nine pool sets
Five Ancillaries, and Four patrons, leading to eighteen collapsible tabs, would it be possible to just open the customization of ALL pools at creation? You could choose which Pool/Ancillary/Patron to customize just as you do primaries and secondaries, no separate menu or anything and if you're not going to take a set, ignore it, it would also be neat because you can experiment with the look of Pools at creation and have a more fully developed idea of how your character and their powers would look together when you start, and, for some, a better idea of which pools you'd want to take.
