You're seeing lookalikes because everybody is using the new costume pieces. If the devs introduce newer pieces, those will be the new shiny, and everyone will be using those.
We're supposed to be getting IDF armor pieces, I would guess next issue, and apparently the devs are also working on converting enemy group pieces to be usable by players.

IDF? Any other enemy groups rumored?
Just IDF specifically so far. I figured we'd have gotten the pieces by I20 given how long ago it was announced, I'd be shocked if they're not in I21.
Like I said, they're supposedly looking at other enemy groups, I would expect (and hope, for a specific character of mine) that Carnies would be at the top of that list, but that's just personal preference.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that there were no new pieces at all with i20. I'm also hoping that they aren't considering the Vanguard Pack to be good enough to last us for a few months before they release the next booster pack.

I lost faith in this matter of the game. Thousands posts in the art and suggestions threads but the devs never hear our concerns.
Also no update yet of remade old low-res stuff, no IDF costume set, no NPCs conversions... Even the last boosters were thin and lacking content.
I hope they raise the bar again with boosters like the magic one, that one came with a lot of options we can use all the time.
Are we ever getting new customizable costume pieces? I know that the devs are focused on the Incarnate content (whoop-di-doo) but I think some more customization would be fun as well. Something to keep the game interesting.
Maybe some more headband options? Having only the 1 hairstyle with the headband is boring. Or maybe a headband option that goes over the eyes? (Ninja Turtle-esque) Or like, the plain t-shirt, maybe a chance to put some designs on it or whatever. New belts, like the one the Kheldian contact in Atlas has or like Scirocco's? Or the chest details, keep em all and have the option to put them over jackets and whatnot. Get the chance to make a real soldier in the game (Camo jacket and stealth chest detail)
Idk, this is just me thinking of what could help add more variety to the game. I'm seeing a lot of look-alikes in the game nowadays and maybe it's time to add something new? Just saying...
