  1. I've been using it in scorch on my dark/fire tank, and it is usually up at a 2-stack if I'm using scorch more or less on cooldown, and it's about 7.xx% per stack. This is a huge deal since my S/L is like 80% (well, temporarily 77% now), so this caps me.

I have not done any of the other Who Will Die story parts. Are you saying you will get 1 extra merit for each part of Who Will Die story you have NOT done before ?

The reason I ask is I have 20 level 50s and if on average I can get 5 merits out of the SSA per toon, that is a lot of merits. At least 100.

I guess I should just log in and test this out myself but figured I would ask in case someone else is in the same boat and reads this.
You can get 1 merit on a 1-week lockout no matter what you've done, and 1 per episode the first time you do each.

So with 5 episodes out and a character who CAN do them all but has never done any of them, you can get 6 merits in a sitting.

I have two myself, slotted in blind on an ill/kin I never play, so that's not quite true.
  4. I'm sure there are people who would love to have it, and people who have enough billions that spending 10 billion on something with near zero utility isn't a big deal.

The question is: do those groups overlap at all?

That's the problem with kids these days, not enough self discipline to save up and plan for the future.
Don't worry, I'll still have a few hundred waiting.

That's a good point! And I do have exactly 30 at the moment. If there was a justifiable premium on a 35-merit recipe I'd be willing to do that in 3-5 days.
  8. I have 30 HAMs on one of my alts, and so will buy any desired IO for 2B or the highest bidder by tomorrow night. PM me here or in game on @plasma.
  9. Ping me on @plasma. I'm on virtue with it, but could roll an alt to make a trade if needed.
  10. Yeah, I missed the boat, even though mentally, I knew this would happen as soon as I heard about them. And I've done something similar before; when merits were announced I expected the highest end enhancements to fall marginally, and the mid-range ones (the 1-3m ones) to climb. I had hundreds and hundreds of things like celerity:stealth and posi blast procs, etc, which were selling in the 1-3m range. (I actually picked >50 L50 Celerity stealth recipes for like 500k before I even had to pay that much.)

A lot of that is simply distraction and not having the energy for a good scheme, as I've been working on a book I just finished, and it's eaten almost all non-main-job time over the past 7 months.

Anyhow, bravo, sir, and anyone else getting the cheap ones. I think your predictions are largely spot on. And frankly, this is an everyone wins situation, because we just don't need that many sleep purples

Account bound, or character bound? I'm wondering if I have to keep them on a toon forever if I upgrade, or I can at least move them around among my own characters.
  13. I have to admit, you guys did a really nice job with the "pack of cards" motif. I'm trying to remember - are you going to make it so we can get packs from the VIP T9 reusables?

Funny, that was my first main... and I rerolled Kat/SR because Kat/Regen was just too easy. (This was back when IH was a toggle and about twice as strong as it is now.)
  15. Just built a new rig with 2x GTX 580s. With SLI enabled, at native (2560x1440) I was getting a gruesome 10 fps. Just for the heck of it, I set the city of heroes setting in the nvidia profiles to "force single-gpu" and went to 35-40 fps. This is with ultra, 8xFSAA, and details set to 200%/200%. Same settings with SLI on (using default which is force alternate frame rendering 2, or the force alternate frame rendering 1), both produce ~9-10 fps.
  16. So it appears somehow the PB self-rez is wonky. It is not granting untouchable any more, meaning I die almost instantly if I use it with a lot of mobs around. (Hi, Lambda getting acids...)

Sometimes it also seems to lock out powers, but that may be me getting knocked down without seeing the animation for it as I pop up; but I've been unable to pop quantum flight as I rez either a lot of times.

New Teleporter Pad: The new Hacked Telepad and Magicked Telepads are available for bases. These new telepads cost more Prestige to build, but allow Super Group members to teleport to six zones per telepad instead of two.
    wow, /thumbsup

edit: Wow, TUT improvements are also totally fabulous.
  18. I think they know that most players don't play the market. Marketeers are probably 2% of players, perhaps way less. They probably thought, "Well, we can collect real dollars while equalizing prices. What's not to love?"

Now the real dollar part is out, but they probably don't consider the other half a bad side effect.

    Free Stamina (issue 20?)

Many players, possibly most, want more for less at all times. These are the players that complained when fire/kins lost 80% of their monkies, when INV scrappers went from 20 times tougher than a blaster to only 6 times tougher, whenever any slight thing is made less powerful, as will happen with about 50% of fixes.

Do you want to stand with that group? Really?
Didn't the I5/I6 End reduction go along with ED? To be honest, I don't mind most of the changes you mentioned, but I am glad endurance is easier to come by. Adding the +recovery to lower levels was probably the best move ever. Standing around waiting for rest to come off cooldown was... not fun. I was to be challenged, not bored. (And yes, one could argue I should slot more endred, to be more challenged and less bored, but it's very hard to do that for some psychological reason. I used to do it on lowbie brutes, but that was about it.)

  21. PLEASE, please, please fix the "claim all" button in the Account Items tab of email, so that it can skip over the L50-only items for characters under L50. I'm really tired of

Ah, so it turns out it was because my EXISTING password was only letters, so it was rejecting my password on my master account when trying to add a new game account. That's really non-intuitive. Also, restricting passwords to 13 characters is lame and insecure.

Although I'm cheerleading for price drops on tons of this stuff, I paid full price for enh trays day one, and would have paid more. Not only is it super convenient when coupled with the other boosts for things like crafting loads of enhancements at once, but you get 3x the space when you respec. Being able to respec 30 enhancements out instead of 10 is... precioussss. (And of course, an 800 point respec token was already cheaper than 10 unslotters for 900.)
  25. Neat.

Edit: hey, comment about permanent pricing already answered.

Also, is this required reading for the marketing dept?
