I have an ill/emp
I know way too many 50's ...
actually i have a lv 50 stone/stone dom but it's not built -
Steel!!!
Also for the love of pete someone remind me tonight since I seem to have major memory failure lately. I don't know if I still have a PvP team practice tonight or not. -
I can bring my emp or with enough notice move my stone/stone dom blue side
-
Sounds like everyone did a good job!

Quote:That's "stem cell" not "embryonic stem cells".
Embryonic stem cells involves destroying the embryo.
Adult stem cells are taken from adults without killing that adult.
It's probably more easy to understand them as progenitor cells they are the begining cells for a specific group of cells (in this case muscle). Where as embrionic stem cells are true blank slates and can be induced with proper enviornment into any cell type. So in this experiment they used the Satellite cells which can differentiate into muscle. I know my old lab used Bone marrow stromal cells for our spinal code research but true stem cells have more potental.
Obviously it doesn't matter since your refering to potential in Humans regarding death but they did kill the mice to get these muscle fibers and cells so the adult donor did die :P -
I am not sure it helps you Bubba but I'll give you my reasons.
I really don't care much about story lines, I don't read the regular text so most of the AE stuff will naturally not have a draw for me. The fact that there are limited rewards just makes it not worth my time. I don't get a lot of time to play and it's split on events for a majority of it.
I like to run with my friends who mostly do lvl 50 content and TF's. I will mostly lvl PvE toons via TF's PvP toons I tend to pl. The only time I really do AE is for contests and if a friend says so and so wrote a funny AE arc you should try it. I will always run @Cai's AE contests cause he makes puzzles from the missions and I really like puzzles. I will do arc's from your players choice (when I have some free time respec and incarnate unlock hell ftw) because I like to support community supportive events. (I'll get my vote in on time though.) -
So how did everyone do on their home work?
-
Quote:If you have done Cai's other contests and AE arc's then it's enough. His first one was great his second was even better. I can honestly say just being able to complete Hack solo & figuring out the puzzles after trying time after time, the way it was intended, was rewarding.not sure why anyone is excited. didnt show anything and the static tried to blow out my speakers
I am not an AE fan but Cai makes it fun and I look forward to these events. -
Quote:He didn't say he was forming a committee, he said they where getting a group together. One of the the worst things about PERC is that it is committee format and makes it harder to actually run anything. But now you already have a base group of Champion people who want to help with events what's wrong with them forming what i will assume will be a much more informal group? So your suggestion to replace PERC is yet another committee?
In my opinion, another committee or event group isn't the answer. It often ends up detracting from the original goal, (events for Champion by Champion), by adding another layer to get through. It also then differentiates between x events (x being whatever the group is called) and events run by individuals. I don't think that's good.
I don't think what adorable name the group has matters, or what the motto is, or whatever. I don't think there should even be a group that formalized. I get it, some people like committees. Status and recognition, I get it.
What I think is important is that there is a support framework in place for events. So that anyone can come and say "I've got an idea for an event but I'd like help running it". I think the framework should be just that, a framework. Not an organization, not a committe, just a bunch of people who will help run events or run events as needed.
I think what would be best is that if someone really wanted to help events for the server, then they just put their name forward as someone to talk to for events. So if someone asks "hey I want to run an event but I've got questions/would like some help" people can say "chill ****, talk to @SuperpantsMcFly or @Ultrafabulous" or they themselves can volunteer as willing.
The primary focus should be the events, not the organization that runs them. -
Hate to say it but it would be easier to bring your red side toon to a Hero raid :P

Quote:Certain friends of mine would expand the previous statement to imply that said program is running in the computer that resides inside my cranium. Because I am apparently a robot, I just don't know it.
Edit: according to one of them: That's about it. You've been programmed to not know you're a robot. You already have goals of world domination, and your creators fear what will happen when they realize you can take over all governments computer systems from inside your head.
That's why they added your obsession with boobies so you will never remain focused enough to take over the world -
Though it's not really a flashback I was thinking of running teams to help people do the unlock arc tonight rather than the true flashback arcs. Most people seem to be running their 50's right now as it is for the shards.
Hope some of you will join me tonight -

I have my build almost done now how a quick cheap emp build wound up costing 2 billion idk :/ Need synapse and posi tf's and accos's if anyone is running these shoot me a tell pweese

Quote:Quick update: Final edits and play-testing started this week. If all goes well, watch this thread and the major in-game channels for official release date. As with the last contest, be prepared to have the following:
1. A toon on Justice to participate in the contest with.
2. The ability to take screenshots with the UI active and a place to host/link those screenshots to the contest thread.
3. The capacity to read/understand a very long and convoluted list of contest rules.
4. Enough room to hold some phat lewt!
Are you a treasure hunter?
Yayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! -

Homework- Week 4- Non Match Week
So this Sunday we will be practicing together but there will not be an official match, however I'd still like to keep people thinking about PvP so what I'd like to do is offer up some Homework for points.
I will give you guys 2 hypothetical lineups and I want you each to come up with counter lineups. Points will be given as follows:
0.5 pts for just submitting an answer
0.5 pts for correctly identifying what the opposing team 'may' be trying to run (ie.. their strategy)
1pt for offering up a viable counter line up and strategy.
In addition 5 bonus pts will be given to the best answer from the group as a whole.
This homework will be open to the ringer emps as well however, they are not eligible for the bonus points.
Rewards this week-
Everyone who submits an answer will receive 20 million influence.
Scenario 1:
You are entering an 8v8 match and your opponent selects atlas as their map choice. You are locked into running a standard jump team and when you join the arena event you see that the opposing team is made up of 6 peacebringers and 2 emps.
Scenario 2:
You have been challenged to a duel by an elec/thermal corr who wants to fight you FITEKLUB style no insp, no accolades, no running!!!
Also for dom's isn't there a +hold alpha 2nd teir? -

It's a joke based on how Britney Spears says the word country...don't think it was meant to be insulting at all from what I gathered.
-
Soooooo thankfull they where increased to 15 but any chance we could make it 20. Playing on multiple servers reallys fills the chanel space fast, especially if I am doing events and need to join event channels as well.

Anyways I never seen a lft team channel, I have done channel searches I mostly play central times at night but like I said above the server is in the red when I am trying to find a team, and I certainly do not go off about how I cannot find a team in game, I am always friendly.
You can manually join these channels since you now know the names
/chan_join "Virtue TFs 2010" and /chan_join "Virtue LFG Alpha"
Global channels are almost a must these days which is why i hope they give us another increase -
Quote:As i said before just remove the o from country and this is a women so yeah...The ability to purchase a global name change would be nice.
Maybe you can contact technical support and explain your situation that your global name change was a mistake, and see if they are willing to revert the change.
I believe country is shortened to count, and then to cun...ning, maybe. -
Quote:No if you re read that her friends are shorting her new global. Actually they are removing the o. Now remove the o and re read it and then see why she wants it changed.Wait... so you picked a copyrighted name or something and it got nerfed and you were surprised?
I am afraid I can't easily figure it out... country what? Bumpkin? Singer?
I don't feel any pity for you if it was a silly choice honestly, but the premise of being able to buy a global handle change would be fine by me -
I always thought CoH had a built in video capture option but no one used it. Vaugly remember it being mentioned ages ago to me. Then again i am a ditz half the time so who knows.
edit:
there are / commands for demo recording so maybe that is some menu for the built in demo recorder
Demo Commands Description
/demodump stop demo record/play
/demofps set demo playback frames per second
/demopause point to stop and loop same frame (in msec)
/demorecord record a demo
/demostop stops the current demo record or playing
-demoplay Command Line switch. use from the run command on the Windows start bar
"c:\City of Heroes\gamescohcityofheroes.exe -demoplay"
