from the sound of it they just dont like their new global and wish to change it back
The ability to purchase a global name change would be nice.

Wouldn't it be easier to just get new friends? It's not like the current set is all that great if they insist on using an insulting nickname.

It's a joke based on how Britney Spears says the word country...don't think it was meant to be insulting at all from what I gathered.

I don't consider the change to be a "silly choice" either. I really liked it alot. I just didn't even think that anyone would ( as Phillygirl said ) take the O out of Country. Do ya get it now ???

I think this should be an option with every issue. There are a lot of very unfortunate global names out there which SHOULD be changed. Choosing a poor name should not punished by forcing someone to keep it! It's punishing us all, even those with good names!

I wish they would give out global name change "tokens" like every year or so.
When I first started this game.. All my toons had "FIX" in them
Then I changed my global because most of my toons were "Betty" toons..
Well now... most of my toons are "KiKi" toons.
So my globals have BETTY in them and a lot of my toons are KIKI hehehe
So yeah I wouldn't mind a free global name change token

But, as has been said previously..... I think it's time for new friends if they're honestly calling you that AND they know it bothers you ontop of that.
Anywho, like I said before I'd still support the option to buy a global name change. Can buy just about everything else so why not.

I guess they could hand out global name change tokens if they also implemented a mechanism to maintain a history of name changes. Likely a rather amusing thing to read in some cases, so I would approve.

I really did like the name change, I built a new Tanker a few months ago and named her Country Strong and thought it would be a good global. Soooo... I am not a harrasser, I did not pick a name I didn't like, I'm not hiding from anyone ! I simply didn't expect what came after the change and it stole my happy and I wanna undo it. My friends are good people and it was said a joke, in very bad taste no doubt !!
I am considering letting my subscription expire and move on I guess, but I will go down fighting for the change in "the rules" and justice, in the American way.
Many people have this problem and a global name change token is about the only thing the devs won't allow us to buy.
Thank you to all of you that have supported my suggestion for purchasing a global name change. If they can relate a toon name to an account, I don't see why they can't relate a new global to the same account. When the name changes takes place everything changes to the new global immediately.
This will generate more $$ for NCsoft and make it even more player friendly.
PS: Country Strong is a new movie and a song that just came out. My toon was built long before that. Who do I sue for copyright ? :P

According to GMLoyd there is no upcoming global name change token and the last was issued for GR. He told me to submit the suggestion to "pay for a global name change" to the forums, so here it is. I am not surprised to see other players that have the same woes as I do. I know it was my choice to change my global, whatever, but we need another alternative to change it back.
Please help me get my original global back !
