  1. Sounds good. In with something, most likely a corruptor.
  2. Eh, I am a noob then. Maybe I don't realize what badges I have (most likely!).

As for the MM thing, just tossing it out there. I really don't know what happened by the door. I like the first run method better, but once the phase wore off I was getting web-naded all over the place and couldn't keep off the ground.

Only other thought was that were balanced on the buffing vs. debuffing. Also, I didn't see much in the way of immobilizing.
  3. Good run all around and sorry we just missed it. I have to check, but I think I still one more badge, something about Bobcat being defeated while Neuron is up.

Quick question, but do MM pets count as player? If no one saw a message on being hit, that is the only thing I can think of atm. A little more debuff either the first or second run and I think he would have went down.

If you set up another, hopefully I can make it. Let me know if you are going to do a nuke run some night.
  4. Echoing the others that it really depends on the enemy. Some are just going to be more rough than others. Also, are you settings too high?

I currently have 4 defs at 50 (emp, dark, cold, kin) and they were vastly different to me when soloing. I agree that other toons can solo better, but when was the last time you heard a team say they needed more scrappers or stalkers or tanks?

Either is better to my mind than equipment wear
Will keep shamelessly plugging for Black Hole IOs too as a sink, if not a small one.

As for the OP, interesting idea. Dealt with it in my years in DAoC. Absolutely hated it and would soon hate it again if brought to this game.
  6. Overall, I like this suggestion. Probably will need some tweaking, but a good start.

  8. My only 2 inf is that it only show me that people play what they want to play. So many "AT will be obsolete" threads before GR.
  9. Voo, sorry, I couldn't be on last night. Didn't get home until after 10, and then didn't feel like doing anything else. I will try to see what I can get tonight, but could end up busy again.
  10. Both sets you presented in this thread and the other are very well presented - great job! I will leave it to the numbers people to comment though, I just play for fun!
  11. Eh, still had fun regardless. Good team and hope to catch ya next week.

    Can't wait...

That's what I get posting via my smartphone and that auto correct.

    Can't wait...

Quite interesting, especially the part about Voo getting a pony.
  14. As in useful and assuming not a master run, my widow.
  15. Better get that logged to the devs. Voo will be so proud if you get something for it.

The reward system exists as it is in part to make people switch targets 'cause the devs don't want one guy being fodder for the whole zone. The gankor was going out of his way to be a knob; that, to me, is griefing, ya' know?
No, I don't know. Did he click to enter the PvP zone? Yes. Did the 30 second timer expire? I would have to say yes since he was attacked. Therefore, he was a legal target. First time, 2nd time, 10th time, 100th time. As long as you stay in the zone, exploits are not used, and harassment not committed, it is PvP. A player can not accidently enter PvP zones. It is a choice and one that is quite informed with all the warnings and timer. If that player ignores those warnings, that is the player's fault.

As for the OP, he could have:
    - found a new time
    - teamed
    - improved his PvP skills (and possibly used a dual build feature for PvE and PvP)
    - defeat the other player, repeatly too so that the other player goes away
  17. For me, I skipped suppressive fire. It didn't fit in with my corr. I am sure others take it. I skipped the beacon too. Never got any good mileage on it.

My corr went with the PPP mace mastery just to fit the theme like traps. Between the pet and mace powers, they went better for my concept. I always felt the PPPs fit my corruptors better than the APPs. But if you are looking max out for IOs, I am not sure which APP would be best.

That's coming up on being a textbook example of griefing.
As others said, it's called PvP. If you can show an exploit or harassment then you might have a point.
  19. Just my 2 inf. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

I have 5 corr at 50, including a DP/traps. I felt the 2 sets worked very well together because /traps was a fire and forget set and let me blast away with my pistols.

    I'm back

    Welcome back!

Be sure to check the sticky on global channels. Always some thing going on.
  21. Stormy, are you dense? I know what you are saying. What you fail at is that I know that. Very simply, that zoning at the door is there on purpose. Get it? The devs know you have to zone at the door. The solution is not to rush in like you do or check with the team.

If you had any facts like the TF can not be completed or that after X amount of TFs there were Y amount of deaths just at that door and no where else, then I would agree there is an issue to be resolved. You have shown nothing but a whine about a door.

And lastly, it appears to be fine you to attack others, but when you get the same reply back, you start playing the victim.
  22. In my experience with this SF, completed both regular and masters:
    1) Never seen a difference. We just keep using it every time it recharges.

    2) The ambushes spawn after he hits a certain amount of damage taken (looks around 3/4's HP left). I do know that hitting him and O porting out immediately will have you finding him alone in the room with no ambushes.

    3) Ambushes could be waiting when you enter. A general rule of thumb we have used is 10 to 15 min wait after O porting. However, we are finding that it is easier to get back to the first tunnels after exiting because there is a spawn point at the Y intersection. You can stay in the tunnel and the mobs keep popping right in front of you.

Good luck on your attempts. Sound exciting!
  23. Well Stormy, hate to burst your bubble, but I read all the post before responding. I actually gather information, think on it, then reply.

Anyhow, I comprehend your OP just fine. You fail, in many of your posts, to deliver any facts, just your perceptions. You speak of potholes, I call them imaginary sightings. Show some real facts and maybe some solutions can be worked out. As this so called zoning issue, define it's extent. Like I said, I only know one red side mission this is an issue. But since I am not a lemming, I prepare. You are not the only player to play a support toon or get hammered at the door in Apex. The game is easy enough and has plenty of ways to make it easier.

Apparently you only look for agreement to your posts.

    EDIT -

Stormy, one last addition. You see a pothole as in the door in the Apex TF. IMO, that pothole was put there on purpose for challenge because we can't just fly down from the roof. People complete (keyword) this TF regularly (including the Master of). The door is there to make you stop and think - should I be a lemming and rush in? Or should I prepare and check to make sure it is safe? You even give the solution of checking with the team in the OP.

Reading your posts, you prefer the former, whereas I prefer the latter. This is why I see your posts as very poor. You want to make an easy game even easier. Just what are you going to do if there are new TFs for the 2nd, 3rd, etc. to Omega slots? You are supposedly an incarnate with multiple slotting making you incredibly powerful. If a door stops you now, what's next?
  24. Up for LRSF next week...my stalker could use too, hehe. Will see what the team is.

Otherwise, great run all around, 12 shard night, but no purples .

Well all depends on what you want.

In general, for common salvage (and many IOs), I bid at the beginning of night of playing, then come collect at the end of the night.

Some uncommon salvage, a day to a few days.

The above two allows me to keep my SG bins generally filled.

For rarer stuff, how ever long it takes. But I should note that I bid within reason. If people are paying 3 mill for salvage, then maybe 500K or a bit more will be my bid. If a time like a week goes by, maybe bump up slightly to say like a million. It will come.

    Two extreme examples:
    1) I got IOs for my blaster (which I very, very rarely play). I bid 5,555 (yes, that much) for what I wanted primarily - crafted generic IOs and a few others things, nothing special/purple/unique. It took 6 months, but I got everything I bid for. That is the most extreme example for me.
    2) My widow has a number of purple sets (of 5) plus some uniques (LotG/Mir/Num/etc.). I bid 15,555,555 for each. It took 3 months. I got all but 1 recipe, which by then I had tons of inf and just bought the last one to celebrate, hehe.

I don't expect people to wait that long but I do.

To be honest, the question is not how long do you wait, but what is the difference with or with out what you want and does it bother you? I have a DP/traps corruptor that I wanted a complete set of 6 IOs. The 6th was in the hundreds of millions. So I placed bids for all 6, and got 5 very quickly (can't recall the exact time). But then went 2 months before I got the 6th. So every time I played, I had a hole in my slotting. I survived without the bonus and the extra slot. It made no difference. I just kept playing and doing whatever. When I finally got the 6th, I plopped it in.

I guess it is not important to me to be uber-mega-max all the time. So what if my defense is not at the soft cap or my recovery rate isn't crazy fast or can't recharge powers so fast I can't press buttons fast enough. I play to have fun and relax. The game is easy enough that I don't need the l33t gear to play it.

One other thing I do is plan out ahead. My last 50 was a brute that I started in Praet. I planned ahead a number of months my build and placed bids. By the time GR came out and my brute started to level up, every single IO I bid for was crafted and in the SG bin. So when I leveled after 20, I just popped into the base, grabbed the IOs for that level, and moved on. I did that basically from 20 to 50 with that toon (and doing that again for future toons). I never had to buy anything except inspirations after lvl20 and sold it all, ending up with 800 mill inf on that toon (which did about 90% tip missions for A merits and 10% TFs, I didn't do any regular contacts with that toon).

Anyhow, the TLDR version, if you are patient, place what you feel comfortable with and go have fun. If you want it NOW!!!!, then expect to pay.

EDIT - One more comment in that this is why I don't see these massive price changes. I am not dumb and know they are there as is inflation (we need more sinks!). But I take the longer, steady path and catch my purchases on the ups and downs of the market. So yeah, I could pay more or I could have paid less, but the fluctuations happen so much and I wait long enough, I miss them.
