one thing, someone said something about slotting accuracy in dark regen, dont bother, before i got my IOs in it, i had it slotted with 3end redux and 3 recharge. It doesnt need accuracy, you hit 2 targets and you are full.
[/ QUOTE ]
And what happens when you are down to tanking a solo AV? Personally, I prefer to slot for accuracy & heal, along with recharge and end reduction. -

Welcome to the game? The OP has a forum reg date of 2006. What gives?

Was wondering when someone else was going to notice this... -

Even if i try to stay away from AE, i still can't find or get enough people to do regular missions... Gonna have to move on to another game looks like...
[/ QUOTE ]
So, if the problem is AE, then why do others not seem to have this issue? I have no problems forming or finding teams on my server, and rarely touch AE at all.
* Find an active SG with good players
* Use your server's global channels
* Global friend other active players that like to do the same things you do
* Use the server section here on the forum
Teaming is easy. It only requires some effort on your part. -
Protector runs regular events, and has a very active TF community. Drop by and check out one of our global channels (Protector Watch & Jello Shooters).

There's just no way the casual player is ever going to afford a purple recipe now - or is that the idea?
[/ QUOTE ]
Depends on whether or not the purples are for their Warshade. -
I saw a nice one the other day... Several people in the group with at least somewhat original costumes. Many lower level folks too. The CC holder picked a lvl 50 whose costume consisted of nothing more than the Roman items from the ITF.

I read it as sarcasm since he followed it with a remark similar in tone.
[/ QUOTE ]
I suggest you take a look at Alt's posting history and then tell me if you still think he is being sarcastic or dead serious.
Keep in mind, this is a person who runs around filing petitions against players who mention the word "farm" in broadcast and describes himself as "virulently anti-farmer". -

You are posting exploits.

Whoosh! That post went right over your head, didn't it? -

One caveat on the time limit - I believe there is no time limit as long as your account is active. If you let it lapse, the 60-day limit is probably in force.
[/ QUOTE ]Unless something changed recently that I haven't noticed, the time limit's still there, and has been since the market opened. It has nothing to do with whether your account is active, but whether your character accesses the market server.
You need to access the market server at least once every 60 days, or else you stuff will be deleted. Accessing the market server can be either opening the market screen, or getting a notification that one of your items sold/you bought an item. Simply logging in isn't enough, unless an item has been bought/sold since your last login.
[/ QUOTE ]
The 60 day limit was recently removed, at least for active accounts. -

Sometimes the following will work: want to form a TF or regular misison team? No problem.
Go to Atlas. Broadcast: "Regular mission team forming levels 12-15, give me a shout if you want invite."
You will probably be surprised at how many people who are bored of standing around trying to get onto an AE farm will respond. This also works well for upper-level task forces.
It is true that forming a regular team in your zone of choice is going to be tough these days. So don't. Go to Atlas, the *only* zone in the entire blueside game now.
[And yes, I view that as a problem but we have other threads devoted to that]
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, the above works quite well. I have done it many times and always been able to grab up team members that way. If you get an AE baby this way they may need a little guidance & coaching, but I've never minded doing that. -
As someone who runs Posi solo often, I would say that having a travel power is mandatory, unless you are only going to be doing this once. SS is the way to go for the stealth component.
Getting the day job WW teleport power can help cut down on your travel time, since a lot of missions are in Steel Canyon and you can port to WW there from wherever you are.
Grab the temp stealth powers from the PvP patrol missions as you are leveling up until you get to the point you are ready to pick up a +stealth IO. You can stealth the Vahz and CoT missions fairly easily with just SS, but the Clockwork are much harder without full stealth.
Adding in ranged defense from IO sets helps a lot. If you really want to go the whole nine yards, and build just for Posi, you can take a lot of "wasted" post lvl 15 powers just for slotting low level IO sets to get the set bonuses at level 15. -
I'll jump in on my blaster if there is still room.

Shivans and nukes? Just what are you planning to run into? O.o You wont need em.
My husband and I duoed it with his plant/storm controller and my...oh, my God...I forgot what I brought >_<
But anyways, we logged it my second account and had my Illusion controller grant invisable when needed. We duoed it in about 3 hours even. We took a break at one point for a few minutes, I think.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, you don't need any of that stuff. I regularly run Posi solo on a blaster. Most of the missions are ghostable boss defeats. Having stealth makes it much easier and faster. -
Just run the Positron TF 4 times, and you'll be able to buy one with the merits. You can have it in 4 days, if you want.

Ah, now I see the problem. DPA, or Damage Per Activation, is a metric of damage per second of attack cycle, not just per second of animation time.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, Sam, DPA is damage over animation time. It has nothing to do with recharge at all.

[ QUOTE ]
How long had the two big guys been fighting?
If they had been fighting for a while, they may have done so much damage to each other that no matter what your team did, they couldn't do 10% of the total damage to Eochai.
Since Eochai is a bit weaker than Jack, he would've done less damage.
The Monsters regenerate fast enough so that their health bars appear full, but they might have taken a lot of damage before you got there.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep.. This has happened to me a couple times in the past as well. -

Thanks for the info, Umbral. But, I'd still find it interesting if the devs could data mine how many Broad Sword / Katana builds have Slash / GC . . . I'd be surprised if it was over 1%.
[/ QUOTE ]
I suspect you would be way wrong too, when it comes to Katana. Every single Kat build I have uses GC. It is an excellent filler attack, has great DPA, and can be fitted with the Achilles' Heel -res proc. -

This would be an example of cutting off one's nose to spite their face. I'd rather see solutions that don't f*** over everyone else too.
[/ QUOTE ]
I admit to being ignorant on this, but are there any ways to get more than one level in a single mission without exploiting the system in one way or another?
[/ QUOTE ]
8 player taskforce team, set to Invincible, player is several levels below the max TF level. -
Is it really that difficult to make some friends in the game?
-
You could just use Mid's Hero Designer, which will calculate all that for you and show you the final accuracy.
-
I make it a point to go into Atlas and recruit for TF teams if I can't get enough players from global channels. It's a good way to expose some of the AE folks to other parts of the game. Sure, they might need a little help along the way, but I don't really mind doing that.
-
Multiple /Traps or /Pain should work quite well together, combined with ranged primaries like Bots, Thugs or even Mercs.

83?
Mine is 99.8%. 2 generic lvl 50 End Mod + lvl 50 Performance Shifter End Mod + the Proc.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope your not with 2 generic lvl 50 End Mods. Endurance Modification At lvl 50 only give +42.4%. So 2 of the would only be 84.4% and that is not counting ED which will make it 83.32% The Performance Shifter End Mod + the Proc does nothing for your End.
[/ QUOTE ]
*SIGH* Third time's the charm, I hope:
2 Generic End Mod + 1 Performance Shifter END MOD = 3 End Mod. I also have the proc
3 X 42.4% ( x ED) = 99.8%
So, no, it's not 83%
[/ QUOTE ]
I missed it the first time I read your post too.. I thought it said 2 end mod + the proc until i re-read it.
