Just made a ninja/thermal and lets see how it goes, hehe, so far I am enjoying her more than my thugs/thermal at level 6, kill faster.

So I was thinking about rolling a mastermind.... but checking on the foruns I only see 3-4 kinds of masterminds and all others looks... gimped..
Most people are thugs/bots with traps/dark/forcefield, with an ocasional necromancer.
I was checking on mids, Thugs/bots with traps or dark can softcap defs easily, making them great AV killers.
Where is the ninja love?!
And mercs?
So here is my question:
How good are ninjas and mercs and... for what?
I dont see ninja's soloing AVs, actually, everyone say that they die so easily and they are bad henchies, same goes for necro.
I'd like to see someone with a positive review of the ninja set >.< how good would be a ninja/thermal? would the pets survive an AV encounter? what about pvp? -
Are you sure about it? Because powers like vengeance with power build up lasts the whole power duration with the buff.
I assume that since the PFF is a pet, it makes one check only as it's summoned (to see your enhancements) and then remains with that.
Still, I'd like someone to confirm it, someone who can actually test, or have tested. -
So I was toying with mids making characters I will never play because I don't have the influence to build and feel too lazy to level...
But I saw something interesting on a traps defender.
I was looking some soft cap'd traps builds and none of them went with power master in order to pick other power to IO for defense...
I checked power mastery and was between power build up and conserve power.. I clicked on the PB-UP and when I checked the force field generator my jaw droped...
34% ALL defenses?!?!
considering maneveurs 4% and weave 7%, your only "bother" is to pop power build up before each FFG to get complete cap to all defenses, and you can make the rest of the build pure recharge and not get gimped at all, hell you don't even need maneveurs with the 3% IO and some 1% from sets or just combat jumping...
For people who may say that your FFG can be destroyed before your PG-Up is recharged, you just get grant invisibility and use after summon, voilá...
Is that working like that in game?
Does Power build up really affects FFG? -
I love my granite tanker...
I made her completely based on the concept of being a little girl who turns into a massive armor.
Now if the character isn't massive and keep tiny and just with overlay of rocks, it would be far enough if the character can jump... and then they will add more penalities or reduce the bonuses, and then stone wouldn't be like it was now.
Bleh.. I am attached to my granite >.< -

Very good defenses for the pets with one of the best healing/debuff sets for masterminds. You will own everything so smoothly that you will miss your sword/shield, because he was at least a challenge!
Ps.: Yes, I am being a bit ironic on the whole post to point out how ridiculously overpowered masterminds are at PvE, PvP and ERP! (They have henchies, use your imagination for the last one.) -
Hello.
I'm having a problem in i16 that I never had before, crashing!
I used to go to hami raids, mothership raids and everything, my computer isn't the best, it was a big laggy on mothership raids but I could stay in the game.
What happens now is that even on missions with too many effects the client crashes after an while. A friend of mine said that someone was having a problem of game crash when it reached 2 giga's in cache... and I have no idea what does it mean or how to solve it.
Help anyone? I can't stand crashing every 30min when missioning... if I stay solo I usually last much longer, but I love to team. =/ -
I was making a mastermind build and was wondering about the aura for pets IO's. How they work? Do you need to have the pet active for them to give the aura or it becomes passive on you no matter what pet you have out?
I ask this because thugs have gang wars, and they can slot with pet recharge sets, which also have aura for pets. Do I need to have the gang wars out for these bonus to apply or they apply automatically as I slot the power? -

Same thing here, I'm one patch ahead and can't conect to the server, and have no idea of how to "unpatch" it.

After rebooting my game three times with the wrong patch, it started downloading the City of heroes.exe again fixed back to the 4T2... -
Meh, my computer is damn laggy, I will try to do it and then I will try to record. My warshade is tri form with perma eclipse and ranged defense softcap, which helps ALOT against malta.

I see fire/TA corruptors very strong. The defenders are annoying enough with TA and glue arrow, the corr's have atual damage to down someone struggling on clue.
claws/wp brutes of course too. -

So I made a huntsman and I'm loving to play her, I dont like crab packs and I want to make my 2nd build a bane to pvp a bit, since huntsman on pvp sucks.
The question is: Can bane pvp?
If so, where should I focus? Recharge? Defense?
Should I get aid self?
Does double assault help me much in pvp? -
Quicky question, a bane has enough damage and resis debuff to put an AV down alone?
I made a bane build on mids with defense softcap (all 3 positionals) and 90% global recharge. (no hasten). The build looks okay, but it has no assault, none of them. And no venon grenade, I took Shatter Armor instead, and with this recharge I calculate it'll be up every 12 seconds, since it lasts 20 secs, and stacks with surveilance, it's a permanent 40% debuff (+achilles heel proc) on the target.
Assumings it's a lethal/smash damage AV, which I would have 38% resistance to. Would a bane be able to down it?
And even if not, how effective is a bane with defense softcap? I see people complainin about bane survibiality, but they seem not hard to soft cap, didn't even had to use the pvp IO or gimp the powers. Also, the build I made is pure mellee, no ranged attack at all. -

Edit to add: There's something else I'd like to say. To irrefutably prove that any team could successfully complete a MSTF would be insurmountably time consuming. You would have to complete it with every permutation of every possible AT and every possible powerset to truly prove that statement. 8 Fire/rad controllers. 7 Fire/rad controllers, 1 fire/kin controller. 7 Fire/rad controllers, one illusion/kin controller... etc.
What might be an acceptable compromise is to devise a few "worst case" teams and see if you can get those to complete it.
Pick for exemple, 8 stalkers. Or lets make this worse, 8 energy/dark stalkers, and challenge them to a master anything!!

So if I have all my passives on 95% heal enhancement it doesn't matter? Because I sloted fast healing, health and physical perfection with 4 numinas each (for the bonus healing, regen and +hp). All 3 powers have 97.49% heal enhancement, in this case doesn't matter where I put the uniques then?

I saw some posts lately with people saying to switch the numina and the regen tissue uniques from one power to another but I didn't see any logic on that.
Isn't the uniques with a pre defined amount of +regen or they increase the power's regeneration? If so... which is the best power to put a regen tissue and a numina on a /regen scrapper? -

Is 72.5% your global recharge from set bonuses (outside of Hasten)? If so, then that's damn good for a MA/Regen build. That would stack nicely with Hasten to get you perma-DP and probably enable MA's high DPS chain. Now if that is your max recharge but no Hasten, then you should fix your build so you can get Hasten into your build. If that is your global recharge with Hasten, then you should probably rework it to get more recharge.

with that regen + panacea unique
without counting the new body master power but with room for it already in the build, so add + 35% regen to that. Almost 800% base regen, without IH and a nice bonus healing, 56% heal on reconstruction, 20sec recharge. -

*coughs* So... about defense, I could come with a soft caped mellee and ranged defense for MA, but I guess it crippled the recharge too much and I wouldn't have the damage necessary to kill an AV.
And I didn't know Katana's DPS was good against AV's, I have a friend with capped defences on a Katana/fire and he was complaining he was immortal, but couldn't kill AVs due to lack of damage.
Also, a question for you Werner, I noticed on your videos that the enemies were missing alot of ranged attacks, I suposed you have mellee soft cap with divine avalanche and some defence IOs and also ranged softcap. Do you have AoE soft cap too? -
First of all, I am a roleplayer, so I usually go for concept. But concept alone isn't a good build :P
I wanted to make a good well rounded character since I got tired of roleplaying an week one, even after putting two billion influence it. Well, she is very good for AoE damage but anyway... (50th warshade with perma eclipse and ranged def softcap, can't solo AVs and LOLWARSHADEINPVP?!)

I tried Fire/Dark for concept, and it was relactively weak.
Then I tried BS/Shield and it was.. well, I didn't like broadsword or look like a knight all time with sword and shield.
Then I went for the flavor of the mouth, DM/Shield and.... same problem as above, without the sword.
I was looking on test servers that you can remove /regen FX and change some MA positions and came with a good concept! Now there're some questions I want to make about MA/Regen:
1.) Can MA/Regen solo well? How well? 1-8 spawns? +1, +2?
2.) Can MA/Regen solo AVs with no defense or resist?
3.) Can Ma/Regen pvp some? I'm not a good pvp fan, but it's ridiculous to have a ton of set bonuses and lose to a level 46 blaster with none because you're a LOLShade.
4.) I played with some builds, is it worth to stack regen to it's maximum or recharge is priority? (it got up to 760% base regen with toggles and no IH and 72.5% recharge on mids, I could lower the regen to increase the recharge, how much would I need?)

Okay, I play my warshade for like six months now. I invested two billions influence on her, she is perfect!! I love the nukes, the perma eclipse, the ranged defense soft cap...
..but... when I step into the arena... I can do nothing but lose. Not only arena, pvp zones too, my ranged def softcap is meaningless in pvp, I dont have burst, eclipse is a joke against players, mire? ..no comments...
I wanted to make a second build more pvp focused, I know it's horrible to pvp as an warshade but still... I want her to not be so laughable...
Anyone has any idea of an warshade pvp build? I saw some with presence pool for the fear, some that ignored nova form and got dwarf just for the healing. No extracted essence, well any sucessful pvp warshade out there?! -
Check out on mids, use sets that give +recharge. I'm pretty sure you can make a good build on your own instead of coming and waiting for someone to make one for you. Also, you don't need 5 slots on soul drain. And you definately can skip dark obliteration. Health doesn't need 3 slots, 1 or 2 (for miracle and numina) is enough. Personally I went with one and with my perma dom I never run out of end, stamina 3 sloted and numina's on health. I also skiped impale and took Thorn Barrage, I made an i15 plant/thorn guide, you can check the /thorn at least, I really prefer thorn barrage over impale.
Also, I 6 slotted thorn barrage and ripper for kinetic crash set, it's a knockback set that gives 7.5% recharge each. Knockback is good for soloing and if you want to "turn off" the knockback you just need to use the AoE Immob (Well, i'm plants, I have the fly trap and creepers to do that for me as well, not sure if it's good for earth but the knockback is also good to throw people back to your quicksands/EQ.
