Earth / Thorny assault help

Hey everyone. I have been looking around at options for earth domination and thorny assault. Have found some good info and have been playing around with Mid's a bit to try and get a nice build, but would love some assistance with a build in terms of what abilities I should skip and how to properly slot. I'm pretty new so I can't seem to figure it out too well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even just a simple sample build or something like that.

The build is fun so far, I just feel like I'm doing things wrong as I am progressing my character. Thanks for your time and cheers!

So this is a sample build I put together yesterday (keep in mind I have been playing for only 3 days so don't be too mean :P). Also, hover / fly are being switched to combat jumping / super jump just forgot to alter it. Please tell me what is wrong with my build and what could be done to improve it. I haven't put any sets in cause I don't really know anything about them yet. So if you can offer any IO advice I would greatly appreciate that as well.

Check out on mids, use sets that give +recharge. I'm pretty sure you can make a good build on your own instead of coming and waiting for someone to make one for you. Also, you don't need 5 slots on soul drain. And you definately can skip dark obliteration. Health doesn't need 3 slots, 1 or 2 (for miracle and numina) is enough. Personally I went with one and with my perma dom I never run out of end, stamina 3 sloted and numina's on health. I also skiped impale and took Thorn Barrage, I made an i15 plant/thorn guide, you can check the /thorn at least, I really prefer thorn barrage over impale.

Also, I 6 slotted thorn barrage and ripper for kinetic crash set, it's a knockback set that gives 7.5% recharge each. Knockback is good for soloing and if you want to "turn off" the knockback you just need to use the AoE Immob (Well, i'm plants, I have the fly trap and creepers to do that for me as well, not sure if it's good for earth but the knockback is also good to throw people back to your quicksands/EQ.

The post above was made by a brutally honest person. It may contain sarcasm, dark humour, offensive language and typos! Don't lose your time trying to correct my spelling, english is not even my primary language...
My first guide, i15 plant/thorn dominator! Check it. NOW!

I woudn't slot my best damaging attacks with kinetic crash.

Lol if you're going for permadom for cheap it's a good thing actually.

Back then, it was. I'd hit the damage cap with any real buffing, and it's not like the damage enhancement was that big a deal.

Earth/Thorny is one build where I wouldn't worry much about perma dom or alot of +recharge. Earth/Thorny can get along on just SO's or Generic IO's probably better than any other dom.

Personally, I like the -resist procs from Lady Gray's set. Gives your a dom that does -def and -resist, and toxic damage. Delicious.

My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi

The -res proc is from the Achiles Heel set. Lady Gray's proc do negative damage.
