  1. Mercs need a lookin' at. Spec ops have ridiculously long cooldowns on their crowd control, and do poor damage as well. Reduce the charge time on their CC, increase the damage on their attacks. ESPECIALLY Rifle Butt, there was no reason for them to leave that at so low damage, especially after they buffed the VEAT version.

Ninja's need a balance. I suggest adding a Pirate mastermind set.
  2. I don't think Rises was done in 3D, so that should answer that. Glad you aren't hurt, hopefully no one you know was either.

    Okay.
Not trying to be a smart alec or say they shouldn't add anymore, but this is sort of the way I see it. 48 is a MASSIVE number of slots. Heck, 36 for premium is too. I can't recall a single other MMO where you could get anywhere near that on a single server. Surely, somewhere in those dozens and dozens of toons, you have one or two that aren't seeing any use, and can be safely deleted?

  5. Meh, First Ward is...convenient. Good streamlined leveling with some pretty major disappointments. "Whats that you say? You are the one who reminded me that I was once a police officer, reunited me with my wife and best friend, and freed me? Nah, don't remember you." Or "You are the one who reunited me with my father, and helped me free the other seers? Nope. You're the jerkhole who came in here possessed, and I blamed for all this, even though you weren't even HERE when the attack happened." But when I can get past my utter hatred of the breaking of Katies character, the rest of the zone isn't to bad.

Edit: Its also kind of aggrivating when people get angry at the game for not playing to THEIR rules. "I AM THE MOST POWERFUL PSYCHIC IN THE WORLD, YOU CAN NOT READ MY MIND PEASANT!" I get it, you made this character with this back story and these abilities. I just think its silly and a little self centered to expect everything in the game to comply with that.

I tried explaining the concept of plot armor to a moron once. He was convinced that there was no such thing, and that the particular characters in what we were talking about got by on their own. In spite of it being an almost literal case of plot armor, with the main character taking hit after hit and not being hurt...until he suddenly was! Surprise!
  7. I'm not really...sold on it yet. The last episode of Season 2 left me feeling very blah, what with Rick giving that god awful speech towards the end, and his continuing psychotic spree is a pretty big turn off for me. But we'll see where it goes.
  8. Did he...did he REALLY just ruin the identity of Winter Soldier? I mean I realize that comic book fans are going to know that already, but come ON.
  9. Rubber bullets, or a less severe tranq if I wanted to explain it at all.

I'm with you there. I saw Spiderman and thought it was pretty good, but for some reason I just can't...get into the Dark Knight Rises yet. I dunno why, the previews just haven't done anything for me. Nada.

    10 Worst X-Men?

Now why I don't like my number 1 is not because he is popular or anything like that I hated him when I first saw him plain and simple. And since we don't get much comics in my neighbourhood and there was no internet at those times I never knew he was one of most popular guys and was quiet shocked when I heard it. Than I realise humanity's attraction to crap characters and products in general now nothing shocks me anymore.
I'm calling bull on this. "I am going to look cool and edgy by saying I never liked one of the more popular comic book characters and saying he is terrible!" Reel it in, hombre. Its all good and fine to say you don't like a character, but tht doesn't make them terrible.
  13. Not here, but in another MMO I went through the process over six years. Every couple of years I'd experience a large turnover of people. Went through close to four SG equivilants before I finally quit. You get used to it, but its never a pleasant experience. Probably why I never found that saying particularly funny.
  14. God almighty, not more of this crap. Some one PLEASE make them stop mangling Resident Evil. Call it something else or stop making your wife into a goddess who overshadows all the canon characters.

There's still room for Jade and Obsidian. Even in the old continuity, Alan didn't even learn of their existance until they were teenagers, and it was very difficult for him to accept them at first.
A publicity stunt is a publicity stunt. People have a right and a reason to be aggrivated by it. They can have all the room they want, that doesn't mean people can't be annoyed.

Also, I think you probably want to wait before saying this particular iteration is your favorite Green Lantern. You haven't particularly had enough time to determine that or not, and saying so now kinda makes it sound like you are just trying to defend the decision to change his character.
  16. 40 man pugs were just asking for it. *Laughs* Bringing together fourty random people to do the then hardest content in the game was a recipe for disaster.

"This should cut down the time it takes to form a team from around an hour to minutes!"

In some ways their tool is like our LFG tool, but still - even on a slow night on one of the lower pop COH servers, I don't think it's taken more than 15 minutes to get a team together (for something that requires a nearly full team, like some of the TFs.) I cannot *imagine* struggling through for an hour.... and their teams are limited to *four* people.

One of those "No wonder I keep coming back" items.
Early on in the Eight-hundred pound gorilla's life span it used to take upwards of an hour to find a group for five, ten, and fifteen mans. If you got lucky and there were enough people on who needed something it could be done faster, but generally you really had to work for an extended period of time to get enough people for anything.
  18. I think its a deliberate change. I noticed that myself a little later in the arc, I was actually having a hard time against any larger number of Clockworks because I spent so much time stunned.

I think you will find there are a lot more than me who think Titanic was awful (no "less than great" or "mediocre" but mind-numbingly awful). You should look at some of the reviews it got at the time...
Considering that it won eleven academy awards including best picture, is the second highest grossing movie in history, and was number one in the box office for fifteen consecutive weeks? I'd say there are a CRAP LOAD of people who disagree with this opinion. But to each their own.

Let them go and create a whole bunch of new characters that are of any sexual orientation imaginable. But just because it's OK for Jimmy to be non-straight now doesn't mean it makes any sense to "magically" declare him to be that way.
Yup, we're in agreement. I think the only thing we're kind of in disagreement on is the amount of attention they expect to get from it.

Trust me I have nothing against representing LGBT characters in comics. I just don't like characters getting majorly "re-imagined" for no legitimate reason either. I'd feel the same way if there was a non-hetro character that was suddenly rewritten to be straight. What's the point except it being some kind of publicity stunt?
While thats the way I see it more or less, I still think its just for the attention. But I do not agree and will NEVER agree with just suddenly having a character come out 'just because.' If they are written that way, or if they go through some pretty serious character development to get there then its one thing. But just suddenly going "Oh yeah, they uh, totally dig the same sex' ala Rawlings admission of Dumbledore ((I still say whatever, no he wasn't.)) is just, as some one else stated, jumping the shark.

And as for Titanic, that's not even a good movie. It's tripe of the highest order that was simply lucky enough to be popular (similar to a certain MMO I can think of).
I...you...what? Since when is it even debatable that Titanic was a good movie? Did you...even see it? I mean I read your later comment about being 9 when Star Wars originally came out, so I KNOW you aren't a teeny bopper, but still...at LEAST preface something like this with "In my opinion". I realize thats probably understood anyways, but good lord.
  23. Eh, not really seeing the point in this except as maybe a publicity grab. If you are going do it, build it from the ground up, don't just suddenly go "Oh yeah, by the way..." That's just cheesey and screams of trying to hard.
  24. It's not that it's 'that hard' as a hero to go redside, its that it's an eight day round trip if you want to get one without spending points to buy tokens. Meanwhile the villains get Ancillary power pools right off the bat, nothing extra needing doing. Its a bit of an imbalance. Okay its a BIG imbalance. There either needs to be a heroic patron power pool, or heroes need another way to access patron powers, without having to spend over a week on it as a project.

Mind, not that I think you shouldn't have to work for it, but there is no redside equivilant. There is no reason that large for redside to go blueside, then go back to redside.

Haven't we had enough "Aliens invade Earth" movies in the last two years? Even with ignoring Transformers 3.
I don't mind aliens invading the earth so much, but...this is battleship. A game where you blind fire to try to blow the crap out of some one elses battleships. They've already removed half of the formula.

Not that it particularly matters, it was a movie based on a board game. Not like you've got a ton to work with there. Likewise though, no one has any sort of expectations.
