kind of the same here.....
not sure what your epic/ancillary pool is going to be, but if you get Soul Drain, that'll crank up your damage buffing into the 100+ percent. Stack Aim with that, and possible Assault if you're using that. Then working off your debuff, you'll churn out some serious damage.
You'll wanna drop your Tarpatch, then Soul Drain the mob group. Drop Back hit Aim and then Ice Storm (aim damage buff on IS lasts as long as the buff's duration), then Ice Breath. In this way, you maximize Aim with IS and also use IB as burst damage to drop the health quick for IS's scourge to start kick in, doubling up its effectiveness....
5slot Posi's in both (make sure a dam/range version is in Ice Breath, which will increase the width of the cone by lengthening its distance i believe) Use the 6th slot for a basic recharge IO.
You'll want to have your Tarpatch near 100% recharge to make it as an efffective power and reliable power.... -
yeah, this is best worked over in tells form.....
used to be, UHB and a couple other SG's used to roll thru RV to do it as an SG event. Villains would come and make it that more funner.... some sgmates would switch over just to be harrassive and opportunistic lol....
oh yeah, i'd be interested in joining....
maybe 2 teams can be formed up? Will need it considering the AV's are extra tough and who knows how many villains will start responding..... -
-
lawlz....
i remember back in the day "they" required your 4th costume slot to be a "Hami" costume slot.....
still.... for large scale events, if peeps can strip down to bare minimums, including darkening power colors, it'll help out visually over-all (not necessarily the lag). But at least you'll be able to tell what the hell's going on around you instead of all these stacked bright powers and auras around you.... -
Quote:You're wrong.
Uh, yes. OP is right.
If you're playing villainside, GL HF trying to find someone to play with. Back when free transfers were up, most of the villain player base move to Freedom.
If you're not a hero player, you won't see much action on the Rogue Isles.
lol....
Cool story and all.Quote:When the hell did you resub?
:O
Why hello thar
I don't "need" to do anything.
If I want to say x server sucks because of y reason that's my prerogative.
If you want to act like an elitist, hows about *you* leave.
P.S. I did leave Champion
You're assuming everyone bought GR. Some people actually *gasp* didn't buy GR. nowai
The villain/hero population on the Rogue Isles side of the game was higher at some point, the OP is correct in their claim that the population has dwindled.
This is an interesting point, but I think the "medium" load isn't any indication to population. If I had to guess based off of no actual proof, I'd say the load increase has something to do with Ultra mode. More people maybe running in higher graphics or something. I don't know, but I won't believe that the server has increased in population or activity since i13.Quote:This makes absolutely no sense.
"You're not part of the little 'cool' kids club, so therefore you can't say anything. You should leave."
This mindset resembles one that is somewhat childish.
And yet you claim the population hasn't diminished when you yourself have moved all of your villains to Paragon.
Convenient.
This doesn't make any sort of logical sense.
"Since you didn't stay you're a moron and the server is a better place without you."
Gee, that makes sense, I wonder how you came to this glaringly logical conclusion.
Not really.
It's okay Cobalt, this isn't Champion BMT. I eagerly await a PM from one of the mods as a result of you reporting my posts because I disagree with you.my fav colors are red & black!
-
yeah, done dualboxing MM's before... very boarding & too easy pve-wise.....
still may try out a demon/pain pair for the heck of it -
cool, thanx bigmoney for your hefty donation the other day....
was able to get a 2nd set of UC, which bumped them over 200% w/ hasten -
3 Colds, 2 Empaths, and rest whatever.....
no reason for an all-defender crew of this make wouldnt steamroll an ITF.... -
musculature is a natural selection for corruptors (what my corrs have)....
but really, the Alpha slot can assist in whatever your char is kind of weak in of course....
i may try going recharge just to see the difference between the two, though the corrs already hit 201% w/ hasten.... -
Quote:honestly, i havent played in any other server than champion. I'd believe that there are some servers more populated than champion. Without networking and connections, i can see your point of view. If you're still interested in playing in Champion, i can connect you to a pretty decent channel, Hammer Nation. Just /tell me at @phlreI know that the economy is not so hot right now. But coming back to
CoH after about a year on the Champion server has been disappointing. The population is not what is use to be.
I go on the Freedom And Infinity servers and the population seems to be thriving.
I think that Paragon studios is going to have to take steps and maybe merge some servers.
I bought GR and I can tell you that is practically a ghost town except for the NPCs.
I don't want to transfer all of my toons cause is going to cost me a pretty penny.
With the introduction of GR, ive seen an increase of activity on Champion, at least blue-side. I think many are migrating villains over to the blue-side also.
As for the champion-crazies, just take a breath and dont go overboard with someone's lousy opinions. Remember, yours are just as valid as their's, and dont carry more water, though you'd think you have more ownership. Its alright if one's opinion is not truly representative of the server or not. Someone's opinion cannot be reversed thru brow-beating and you shouldnt try to shove your own opinion down someone's throat, cuz your no better.
We all know how good our server is. It goes w/o saying. If a person wanna talk bad about it, obviously they're not deeply involved and only serves to turn the other vidiots away. Im plenty happy with the peeps i get to team with presently. Those who migrated out of Champion obviously were the fodder who are transient anyways. No loss.... only gain -

Mine was Demoness Phire
lv30+ Fire/Fire Blaster
eventually moved on to a Fire/Ice Tank after she couldnt survive the aggro & drop the mobs after an Aim+Fireball+FireSwordCircle lol
eventually changed global to PHlRE, though those two are the only fire toons i had.... -
this shows the degrees of closeness we have and how closely knitted we are together as a community.....
-
1st SG was the Dirty Girls (didnt know it was a RL girls-only club)
SG kinda imploded after Bippy & i said we were males(there were other males there too)
2nd SG was B.O.S.S.
moved on
3rd SG was United Heroes Brigade
moved on
4th SG currently is Hammers of Justice -
Quote:lol, yeah i see the irony in that. But it also shows the diversity of the skill levels that play this game. From complainers who cant even do the lowliest of TFs to those who can breeze thru the toughest of TFs.The same thing happened with the CoP.
I am not surprised. Hopefully just putting good information out there and exposure will remedy some of the complaining. What I don't understand is that people seem to want to be able to accomplish things quickly and easily, but then complain they are bored.
Even the new TFs which are specifically made to be more challenging the others, some players and teams are so over-tweaked to be able to feel unchallenged with lv54 mobs. That shows how versatile the AT's in this game can be, and how much a veteran and skilled player can squeeze out of their character...
Hope they continue to increase the difficulty of the TF's to the point where only the "elites" are able to accomplish them, and the average has to complain. -
Quote:heheVery nice. I like how everything matches <.<.
I do the multi mousing thing too, and it definitely gets tricky with multiple targeted aoes - currently running a fire/earth dom + bots/traps mm + some other random - definitely a lot of back and forth at the beginning of a fight.
[Edit: I just realized that you said "ambi" and have a mouse on both sides! Impressive. I keep them both on the same side and just move back and forth. I don't think I could do one on each side.]
yeah, its actually a bit easier operating 2 toons of the same build and AT, you just match the powers easily together for easy power synching & stacking.... -
holy crapulence d00ds!!! Phenom times!
Combine the TM, Apex, & ITF - 106 merits under an hour! -
for those who were interested or questioned - 2 boxes below, 2 of everything, no 3rd party programming. You'll have to learn to be an ambi-mouser and use both at the same time...
-
maybe the devs cranked up the purp drop rates? Present to us? They've been real hawt this month, especially in Kill ITFs....
-
For AoE, i would suggest Archery over Assault Rifle.
Fistful of Arrows for a short cone, the selling point is Rain of Arrows w/ Explosive Arrow combo.... with a high recharge and debuffing from primary, you can do this set rather fast.... Full Auto is a pretty tight cone to be considered as AoE -

Well, ive been known to exclusively dualbox Defenders, and have had 16 pairs of 50's
My old mainz were a pair of Cold/Ice/Darks defs but decided to try to give the Corrs a try, in an attempt to squeeze even more damage for light loss in def/resist capabilities....
The Ice/Cold/Dark Corrs are fully IO'd out hitting 200+% rech w/ hasten (working on Pan's unique health/end). They're not quite as sturdy as the Defender version but they do more than expected survival-wise.
went Dark Mastery for the 120sec SD, 10target vs the Soul's 240sec, 7target version. SD has a 1second cooldown between effect.... so its about perma as long as i got mobs to leech
Dual-boxing Nuke chain for 7+mobs: double-Sleet( for -Def), double Soul Drain (for ToHit), double Heat Loss (for 12+ HL stack to overwhelm nuke's -end rec), double Ice Storm (working off of Sleetx2, HLx2), double Blizzard (working off of Sleetx2, HLx2). Quick-cast double-Sleet again(for Sleet -resist quad-stacking). You'll see the Nuke force thru all buffs to fully drain End, and then start recovering using super-stacked HL.....
Nuke chain vs 1 mob(ie EB+): double-Sleet, double Drain, double Ice storm, 1st Blizzard's, 2nd HL, then Blizzard's, 1st HL's, using the +end from the 2nd's HL...... both chars has end from HL's..... if there's some great or lucky timing, HL will cut off the -End depletion of Nuke and prevent from toggles dropping.... -
oh very - but its a big balance.....
do you value consistent damage or totally randomized damage?
Cranking up damage out of a low-damage type, ie Sleet, you can cramfest multiple procs in....
for fun, ive done that in some toonz and its really fun to see which mobs get a little wacked, really wacked, and intensely wacked. If you have 4 procs, each mob gets a roll on each proc. So there's a potential of a mob getting all 4 heaped on his head in one wack lol. Ive seen that happen to a boss in a group while experimenting with this. I had 3 damage procs and the AH -resist proc in Sleet and he must have gotten all of them cuz he instantly lost 1/2 his life hahaha. Ive seen minion and up to LT class get outright 1shotted by this effect....
prob not applicable to you, but FYI - if you have damage procs in a -Resist power, they will do an adjusted damage according to the -resist percentage!
cycles every 10seconds i believe in animation -
featuring some of champion's best and also some from an all-ranged pug ITF
* Bullet McGraw & Ka on vent
*Queen Frosteen's candycane leggings up in the air lol
*Shadow99 leeching Rom's dead body lol
