Well, ive been known to exclusively dualbox Defenders, and have had 16 pairs of 50's
My old mainz were a pair of Cold/Ice/Darks defs but decided to try to give the Corrs a try, in an attempt to squeeze even more damage for light loss in def/resist capabilities....

The Ice/Cold/Dark Corrs are fully IO'd out hitting 200+% rech w/ hasten (working on Pan's unique health/end). They're not quite as sturdy as the Defender version but they do more than expected survival-wise.

went Dark Mastery for the 120sec SD, 10target vs the Soul's 240sec, 7target version. SD has a 1second cooldown between effect.... so its about perma as long as i got mobs to leech

Dual-boxing Nuke chain for 7+mobs: double-Sleet( for -Def), double Soul Drain (for ToHit), double Heat Loss (for 12+ HL stack to overwhelm nuke's -end rec), double Ice Storm (working off of Sleetx2, HLx2), double Blizzard (working off of Sleetx2, HLx2). Quick-cast double-Sleet again(for Sleet -resist quad-stacking). You'll see the Nuke force thru all buffs to fully drain End, and then start recovering using super-stacked HL.....

Nuke chain vs 1 mob(ie EB+): double-Sleet, double Drain, double Ice storm, 1st Blizzard's, 2nd HL, then Blizzard's, 1st HL's, using the +end from the 2nd's HL...... both chars has end from HL's..... if there's some great or lucky timing, HL will cut off the -End depletion of Nuke and prevent from toggles dropping....

for those who were interested or questioned - 2 boxes below, 2 of everything, no 3rd party programming. You'll have to learn to be an ambi-mouser and use both at the same time...

Whoa. Now that's skill.

I can dual box but I can't ambimouse.

Very nice. I like how everything matches <.<.

I do the multi mousing thing too, and it definitely gets tricky with multiple targeted aoes - currently running a fire/earth dom + bots/traps mm + some other random - definitely a lot of back and forth at the beginning of a fight.

[Edit: I just realized that you said "ambi" and have a mouse on both sides! Impressive. I keep them both on the same side and just move back and forth. I don't think I could do one on each side.]

Now what would be more insane if he was using track balls. Then again it is possible to use a 1 track ball for 2 computers easily.

Another tricky part is travelling. Even on auto follow, sometimes the follower gets caught in caves or narrow passages. Recall friend is useful on the lead toon.

What pros are there for not using Synergy?

Now thats some Mad Skillz...dude! Impressive!

Prometheus: ... so what I told you was true, from a certain point of view.
Me: From a certain point of view?
Prometheus: You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on your point of view.
Me: You're right about that. Power Blast is very pretty from a certain point of view. But that point of view is not head-on. <Kaboom> - Arcanaville.

I think I tried Synergy once or twice (I use it at work for 4 monitors across 2 systems), but it seems easier to just use 2 separate mice. With synergy, you've got a lot more distance to move your mouse across.

I use synergy for dual boxing and while it makes using a single keyboard a lot easier (thus cutting down on desktop space) I have noticed that CoX has problems with mouse look speed on the synergy client - mouse look runs at hyper speed and the slightest mouse move skews your view angle horribly which is why I only dual box with my secondary character in bot mode, set to follow/buff the primary and throw the odd heal/attack out (the mouse on the synergy server system works fine, its the client that gets hyperspeed mouselook).

I definitely admire those who can dual box full time like phire - I can't split my attention enough even if I had a setup like his.

hehe
yeah, its actually a bit easier operating 2 toons of the same build and AT, you just match the powers easily together for easy power synching & stacking....

Wow...just wow. That video is awesome. Excellent job using two mice! I could never do it. My left had is just rebellious when it comes to coordination.

As a blaster I couldn't help but smile during the tower rooftop scene.

Edit: Oh never mind, I just saw the picture of you using two monitors.

Man, this is another way to enjoy the game! lol

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

Hmm that looks like fun!

2 active accounts- Check
2 monitors-Check!

xD

Respect too you for using two mice though lol

Multiboxing MMs is "easy mode" multiboxing (with controllers being #2 probably, IMHO) due to the fire and forget nature of pet damage. I've mutiboxed many mm combos and they are all easier to manage/play than say, dual corruptors like Phire has (for me at least).

Generally, I play them very similar the dps+buff combo where you play a more intensive set (traps, dark, etc.) on the primary and actively target and buff/debuff, then run a low interaction set like pain, thermal or ff on the second with leadership toggles.

Two of my favorite trios are: Thug/trap + thug/ff, thug/dark & dem/pois + dem/dark, dem/therm. Both are slightly more intensive as far as mm trios go because I'm actively managing 2 of them with only one on "mostly afk" mode.

yeah, done dualboxing MM's before... very boarding & too easy pve-wise.....
still may try out a demon/pain pair for the heck of it

If you don't want to be bored dual boxing MM. Make a pair of Ninja/TA MMs. Yeah your going to get pissed fast. It is fun but...

I have a trio of demon/pain and it is pretty darn boring (my only mm team that isn't 32+ yet), slightly less so than say, a trio of /ffs would be. I have much more fun with my trio of demon /pois/dark/therm that I'm taking through the task forces.

re: OmnipotentMerlin:

Yeah, that would probably make quit playing the game for a month! The only combos I can play with nin these days without getting super annoyed on are /dark & /storm. My first mm was nin/pois...which may be even more annoying than nin/ta, depending on what you are fighting.

We, as avid MMO players, Should all be "switch hitters" with a mouse by now. With all that practice during our teenage years, then becoming perfected after we got married to the first girl that would sleep with us?! Sorry, that was too easy.....

I crashed a cadillac through the gates of hell and returned with a fistfull of dollars.
