Thinking of making a Earth/something dom. for teaming/sf/tf's and good overall damage output.
Whats a great secondary? btw i already have a perma mind/psi/mace and fire/earth/fire dom. so psi is outta the question.
Been looking at thorns...hows it perform ingame?
And whats a good patron pool for this toon? i have used the fire mastery b4 and enjoy it for rain of fire/self rez/fire shield.
Also what powers in earth control can i skip/not needed. -
im sry but your gimping your hp for s/l def imo, and with invinicibility adding to s/l, you dont need 45 within 1 enemy unless your making it for AV soloing.
you have 2582 hp. on mine i get 2955. and took aid self for 2 heals which i love. I took the spiritual alpha (rech/heal)since i dont really have any end issues with my build. Id drop manuvers asap imo but to each there own. heres another reference if it helps.

totally agree with taking the Sweep and Attack vitals combo. i have a db/wp with 40 s/l def and thats all i use is those 2 combos back to back. It works well for me.
Also no need for hasten, which is kinda nice, get rech over 50 and should be good. -
So on my elec/elec brute im trying to see if i can hit 45 s/l def, so far i can get a hair under 42%. my question is how much def will the nerve alpha slot add to it?
Someone that is better at doing the math than me might be able to tell me if i will hit 45 s/l. keep in mind the top tier will be 2/3 unaffected by ED, so im planning on that, not too worried about the lower tier alphas.
I'm taking the alpha that has 45% acc,20%def buff. Any help is appreciated.

Well they could make them pop out when a attack power is activated and then stay out for certain amount of time after an attack has been initiated. maybe like 2-4 mins. So when your running around zone or sitting at the market they arent out. But if its considered a pet, idk if its gonna ever change, hopeful thinking though.

Would be cool imo if they kept the center of the back pack(the part with the arachnos logo) on the back and then the arms transformed/popped out of it in combat situations. As long as it doesnt cause any redraw issues.

Heres what im rolling on my fire/earth. Btw is one of my favorite toons, love the smashiness of earth and the fire holds/imps. Heres how i slotted mine for more reference and another opinion.
Took fire mastery for the concept and also for rain of fire..love having another aoe..the self rez is priceless imo for when things get tough and i faceplant, im up in secs and pop the frenzy power and im back in permadom. <---i love that. Also the fire shield for fire/cold resists while maintaining 30 s/l def.
I have the cardiac radial boost(tier 2). so my resist are +3 higher on my s/l..so its really 61%. and fire /cold went up a point or 2.
The end reduction from the alpha slot has really helped my end management. I dont have to worry about running out now and with dom filling up my bar every 75 secs i can fight all out and not pop blues.
Also keep in mind with the top tier Alpha slots, one of them is gonna give 45% end reduction and 2/3 of it will not be affected by ED.

Getting 30 s/l def is reasonably easy for FA, 35+ depends on the primary and how many Kinetic Combats you can slot and how well you know how to build for def and not gimp build.
I know that i have made a MIDS build with a fire/fire brute at 40 s/l def with help of the 3% pvp def proc. and still get 125% rech and 52 s/l resist
however i roll a dark/fire on freedom with 30 s/l def and he tears it up w/o the fitness pool since i made him i19 ready. the 2 +end powers are awesome and 2 heals are heaven. 1 medium purple puts me over 45% def and then i still have the rez for anytime i may die. Id suggest dark/fire to anyone thinking of making a FA toon.
also with regards to the bronze rolls. 35-39 bronze does get you LOTG def recipe and LOTG def/end recipe. I just got a LOTG def 5 mins ago b4 i wrote this. made about 1.3 bil in like 3 days of farming tix and bronze rolls. -
Ok, with WP your gonna want to build for s/l def, at least 25+ imo. the more def u have, the less your getting hit and therefore the less your having to regen, which btw your regen is low. even with the tissue proc and health, its still a lil low. 6 slotting numina for the ranged bonus is pointless. so many errors in there to mention, you said u were building for Resistance and yet your s/l resist is low. it should be around 52-53. Why not add 1 more to buildup for the 5% rech bonus? HPT is slotted all wrong, and going for the psi def is not efficient. your max hp is also about 100+ short since you say your slotting for max hp
i like the energy mastery for this build but its way over slotted. SoW isnt slotted at all and needs to be. id put another kb proc in SS. and do u really need 2 travel powers?
also your rech seems really low, put a LOTG in CJ and taking weave/heightend senses gives u chances to slot more LOTG. Also id add the kismet 6% acc proc somewhere in there. -
Elec/Shield/Mu ---> Lightning rod/Shield charge/Elec Fences/Elec Ball i believe. Personally i like dark better with Gloom/Dark Obliteration

So im bored and made a i19 build for my fire/wp. Left 5 slots out for stamina/health. ill slot stamina with 3 efficecy adaptors and 1 performance shifter proc. Health is getting the 3 procs (Numina/miracle/regen tissue)
Ill get just at 2500hp, i know my regen might be a lil low for a typical WP, however with s/l softcapped i think that will help survivability and i have the self-rez.
Also i can get the 3% def pvp proc from vill tips, so i put that in there and i have 4 extra sets of the kinetic combats.

so i got a 50 elec/sd brute, currently making a new i19 build for him. wondering if slotting for higher s/l def is worth it in the long run for tougher enemies.
i do tons of farming with him against rikti/romans..he runs ITF with np as is, but his s/l def is only 20(positionals softcapped obviously) and sometimes he can seem squishy against certain enemies(carnies etc.) and when im higher than +2/8 in mishs. and with no heal that also sucks.. so is slotting for higher s/l def gonna help my survivability in the long run?

Do u have 7+ billion to make that build? great rech, your melee def is a not exactly softcapped, aoe softcap really isnt as important as melee/ranged so it could open up room to slot for other things. Health looks overslotted, and again what are u gonna use for i19 changes.
personally ive started any MIDS building with that in mind and just drop fitness and take 3 other powers.. as i said in my last post. -
Horrible for using so many purples and not softcapping and we need to start thinking i19 builds. its not that hard to figure out how much end (for example)... 2 slotting health with the 2 procs(numi and miracle) and 4 slotting stamina(4 performance shifters w/ proc) is gonna add to your end recov. heres a hint...about 1.46.

No not aid self...im talking about turning true grit into a Dull Pain like power or turning active defense into a decent heal like they did with energize. SD still seems to take a beating even softed capped positionals, the resists arent very great and no heal can seem sucky at times, i hate relying on ins for all my heals.
and i hear that SC is getting nerfed possibly so that sucks even more.
anyone wanna comment on this or help my cause for SD getting a energize like heal? -
everyone has a weakness but dark melee/elec brute is great if built right.

You could focus more on defense and take tough/weave for survivability, if thats the issue your looking for. might be more end heavy, but can slot 2 purples in attacks for the 0.7 end recov bonus.
My mace/invul is s/l softcapped with 3 enemies in range of the toggle and recovers 4.02 end sec/.90 end drain with 71 s/l resist.
Also your hp looks a little low for invul and id personally skip the taunt and t9. drop resist elements. dont worry about slotting for toxic/psi imo. u overslotted BU and tough hide.

heres what i got planned for mine, went for high rech to make hasten almost perma esp with the +rech proc going off, which hits a lot in Footstomp. So FS every 4-6 sec. and SC every 23-26 sec.
