Market slots would be better spent on IO's simply because you are looking at higher profit margins per slot. At best right now for salvage, selling stacks of 10 that you managed to buy for 1 influence and sell for 500K, the best you can get out of it 4.5 Million. (Most are in the 100 - 200k range) The number of IO's you can turn around for significantly more than that is staggering.
    Truth.

Pretty much on the same principle, I've had friends ask me how much invention salvage I keep in my base. The answer? Zero. Why would I buy a salvage rack that holds 30 pieces of invention salvage when an IO table will hold 100 crafted IOs? Even if it only held 30 IOs, the table would be the better deal. I buy salvage when I need it, either by bidding low and waiting overnight or by paying whatever the going price is because I'm going to sell the IO for millions in profit anyway, so what's a few hundred thousand?
  2. The trailer commands me to buy it now!

I want to obey the trailer's command!
  3. This is interesting to me because my main character Mouse Police is katana/regen. (For that matter, Organica is katana/regen -- but Mouse is my "badger").

When I first started IO'ing Mouse I tried to go the defense route, before I finally gave in and decided that building for defense on a regen character just wasn't the best way to do it. When I did that, I didn't scrap my build, I switched to my 2nd build and built a recharge-intensive build instead. So my first build is still there... haven't looked at it in a couple of years.

Money is not an object, so I might be tempted to try out one of these builds. ^_^

    88s assemble!

/em contemplates holding a weekly costume contest for the Crazy 88's....

"If you win, we'll burn 100 million influence in your name!"
  5. Salvage prices are not going up across the board -- they're only going up for stuff that doesn't drop at level 50.

You can buy as many Demonic Threat Reports or Temporal Analyzers as your heart desires for as little as you want to pay. ^_^

Run a mid-level Ouro story arc like my personal favorite, The Freakshow Wars. Then sell the salvage on the market.
  6. Those are neat, but if you're good then you don't need anything fancy

  8. I hear they're finally going to give us Fish Melee. And Hat Defense!

So very true. I'm almost tempted to create a brand new "How to know if" thread just to see what he'd post in it.

Maybe I could be blatantly straightforward and title it "How to know if you're desperate for another "How to know if" post from Steelclaw" and then the first post would be "You make a thread like this one."

    88s assemble!

    Heh, nice job! ^_^

I for one welcome our new American Legion overlords!

    ...for now.

    SG/VG dead?

There is, but hardly anyone uses it.

The leader of Hero Force was very pro-Heroes as opposed to Villain ATs. He liked everyone to play one of each of the five basic Hero ATs because that gave you a better understanding of how different members of the team operated. I like that idea in theory, but he didn't care at all for khelds or any villain ATs. I think everyone should try everything. ^_^

Anyway he hasn't been around for a long time so Hero Force is not as active as it once was. I'm a very good example of how a global channel is more useful than a SG; I find most of my teams via global channels, even when those teams happen to include other members of Hero Force.

Global Channel communities is capped at 2,500 members. So a single Global already outclasses any SG/Coalition.
It's actually even worse than you make it sound, since a Global Channel is capped at 2,500 global accounts, but a SG with maxed coalitions is restricted to 1,500 individual characters.

I have about 8 or 10 characters in Hero Force, but all of my Characters on both accounts are members of VirtueUnited, MG Taskforces, Antibellum Revolution, The Market, just to name four channels at random. Actually all of my characters are members of the "Hero Force" Global Channel, but that's still pretty much restricted to a subset of the global channels of people who are members of the SG... so really, only marginally useful.
  13. Very useful for a Cathedral of Pain Trial. But on Virtue I think they've been avoiding using them on Hamidon raids because of the lag it creates.

    Where do I find

That's how the runs I've been on on Virtue have gone, pull them to the tennis court, kill them together at the end. Though I've only run it a few times and I know they've also done "keep them separate" runs.

  17. About 20 or more toons, but often only log them once a week.
  18. I just want to get ahead of the game and start this thread before anyone else does. Talking about CoH 2 is soooo yesterday. Or last century, depending on how far into the future we're looking.

Besides, it should be obvious to anyone paying attention that they're maybe thinking of possibly doing a sequel to the sequel of the sequel of the sequel to the sequel of the sequel of this game... maybe... at some unspecified point in the future. Assuming they do the other five sequels. A red name of some sort practically confirmed it when he said, "I'm..." something something, I forget the whole quote, and I can't link it because it won't be written for many years and Google doesn't have future-caching working just yet.

I just want to know if I'll be able to port my level 371 fire/neural/metaphysical/double agent fallen god from City of Heroes 6 to CoH 7, assuming I have one, because if I can't, I'm not gonna bother buying CoH 7, always assuming I'll be playing CoH 6 at that point.

And they have to bring back the underwater Ice Fortress from CoH 5, that they might have in that version of the game (I'm employing a bit of guesswork here). I don't know what that wasn't in CoH 6. I mean going to be in CoH 6. When they make it. You know, don't they respect their future customers?

    In-N-Out Burger

    Burgers: http://www.redmillburgers.com/

(Oh, almost forgot, I like this place too: http://www.thecounterburger.com/ They have one in Seattle, in Ballard near where a friend lives.)

    Donuts: http://www.toppotdoughnuts.com/

    Krispy Kreme? In-and-Out? Don't need 'em. ^_^

Fuddruckers and Five Guys aren't bad at all though. ^_^ (Not actually sure if Fuddrucker's is in the Seattle area... the one I remember I visited in Minnesota years ago.)

Pizza in Seattle... hmmm... haven't tried this place in years but they used to be good: http://northlaketavern.com/

Now as for New York... I've had New York bagels and I've never found anything like 'em for sale in Seattle.
  20. I have three level 50 MA/WP scrappers, but I wouldn't have the third one if I hadn't come up with a look and name that I liked. The character started out as Nina Ballerina on Freedom, but then I liked that character concept so much that I made a Nina Ballerina on Virtue and leveled her to 50. Later I completely remade the Freedom character into someone different and liked the new name/look enough to play the same set to 50 a third time. ^_^

  22. Since the early days I've owned the name Mouse Police on every server but Champion. I now own it on Union as well and, for good measure, on Zukunft. Maybe I'll try the French server as well. But it turns out there's a Mouse Police other than me somewhere out there on Defiant. I guess that's only fair, since the name comes from a song by Jethro Tull, an English band. ^_^
  23. I was in Atlas Park before it started on Virtue, and the lag was unbelievable. Someone yelled that the actual event was happening in Atlas Park 2... that made a certain amount of sense, since AP1 was probably overrun with people waiting for the event to start. I decided to go to Talos instead. I rubberbanded my way to the train, waited for about three times the usual wait before it showed up, clicked on Talos, and... nothing. There was a massive crowd in front of the train and nobody was moving. The train stayed there and everyone was standing there for several minutes. Finally someone opened up an ouro portal and people began to vanish into it, so I clicked it and made my way to Talos via Ouro (which... I always thought it was impossible to activate/use another power after you've clicked on a destination via the train, but it worked).

The lag in Talos was very bad, but I was able to rubberband my way to some of the event locations and even hit a few things. I only DC'd twice.
  24. Seeing as how anyone can go rogue or vigilante in two days and play both sides of the game, the old "devs hate villains" thing seems... well, old. I realize there are good reason for wanting characters to keep hero or villain alignment.. but I'm really not sure how many people they'd be ticking off here. Not enough to compel them to add a second WSF, I think.

Sure does seem like they don't think these things through too hard though, coming on the heels of the "Eden Trial will be a WTF... oh, wait! Neverrmind!" And the one earlier that failed to work as well....
  25. Actually pulled off the RWZ challenge for real tonight just after the servers came back up, only took 3 tries. ^_^ I swapped out my alpha slot, verified that the minions conned purple, and went to town. I demorecorded it, now I need to figure out how to turn that into a movie, just so I can be cool or whatever.
