How many characters do you use for marketing?

For example, I have three characters that are just used to list things to sell, creep bids, etc.
I then have two characters that are meant purely for crafting and buying recipes, as they are constantly near the ticket cap.

What about you?

All i have to say is go big or go home. I log in 50+ toons at least 3 times a week. Takes about a solid hour.

Im rich because you trust the previous 5 bids!!
My market signature is the highest bid!!!!

I have one I actively marketeer on these days. There are a few scattered around with low ball bids but I don't check those very often.

Enjoy your day please.

Exactly. I went home just before I19.

Ooh, a sarcasm detector. Oh, that's a *real* useful invention. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...t-sarcasm.html

Heh, me too, give or take a few weeks. Just don't have any compelling reason to make money these days.

At the height of my marketeering interest, I was up to about 5 characters -- 1 designated buyer/crafter, and 3/4 sellers. Very occasionally I'd go up as high as 7 characters, but that wasn't a conscious decision to expand; it was the result of my misjudging how fast my stock would move.

The stock always moved eventually, though. YMMV.

This too. I used to market daily on between 5 and 10 characters.

I have a couple craftsmen, and most of the alts I know I'm not going to be playing for a little bit are involved in lowball bidding.

I'm back into marketeering, but I've streamlined my activities. I do everything on two dedicated characters now, and check them twice a week. I'm now making roughly a third of what I was making last Fall, for about a fifth of the time and effort.

I'm at zero for now.

I have one toon that I marketeer on consistantly but I marketeer on every toon I play. I go to the market before I start playing (which ever toon I'm in the mood to play) and at the end of the play session I finish up at the market.

You need a stop watch

I've got 3 characters that always have something going on with the markets, they're my three with Field Crafter.

I log them on first of an evening, pick up inf from sales overnight, make and list new things, bid for salvage as needed, then alt to whichever alt(s) I end up playing that night.

At the end of the evening, they get checked again, and if needed their slots refreshed.

Takes about 5-10 minutes at the beginning and end of the evening, so 10-20 minutes total. Oh, and the VAST bulk of my turnover is common salvage and Generic IO's, so I'm not playing with big lumps of inf at a time, but it all adds up eventually.

If another character fills up on salvage/recipes due to being played, I'll drop their goods on the markets and leave them to cook until I next play that alt, which can vary from a day to 4 months...
