I find it funny that someone would complain about toons with "unrealistic" boobs, but noone ever mentions the abundance of toons who have heads the size of watermelons. I see it sooooo much on Virtue...these toons who have these oversized heads, which are usually perched on top of super skinny bodies. There /is/ a head scale option in the tailor people.. learn to use it.

Talked to a mod a couple of weeks ago ingame in Pocket D on Virtue...they wouldn't give a date for the release, but..the mod /did say/ it would be before the holidays start because of their people going on vacation during the holidays. They want to make sure they have people on hand when the issue comes out. Therefore...before Thanksgiving.

Hmm.. having baddies of color is a reference to rascism.. I WANT THEM REMOVED.. wait.. no..nevermind.. its just me being a whiny *****, mybad..

For those people that have a problem with the word Malleus being used as the title of a badge I have this to say. We should probably ask the devs to get rid of all female baddies, since fighting them is promoting violence against women. Also.. any baddies of color.. since that might be promoting racism. Oh..hmm. lets see what else we can find to complain about....they should change the character creator because it doesn't have a overweight option, and this might offend the overweight players because its promoting the idea that everyone /must/ be atheletic or skinny.

Seriously...do you just sit there while playing and look for something to complain about? I mean.. wow..the word has more than one meaning...so just because /one/ of the meanings MIGHT be offensive to SOME people it should be removed or changed. Some people really should just learn to stop being so sensitive.

As far as in game goes, I personally feel alot of the complaining that people do reguarding something a person said is either them just being overly sensitive or chances are, the person they're complaining about just happens to be someone they don't like. Which actually tends to be the case /most/ of the time. Whether people will openly admit it or not, I've seen it happen quite alot in game. Person A will use profanity, so will person B. Person C hears them both and reports or complains about person A only, because person B is a friend.

I think the CoH community would be much better off if people stopped being so damn sensitive about every little thing like cursing. One.. kids do play this game..but not mine, its not my responsibilty to raise/help raise your kids, nor will I even partake in setting a good example. If you personally feel your children should not be exposed to such things.. stop letting them play MMOs. Two..like someone clearly stated in a earlier post..if you don't like "hearing" profanity..use the filter or..stop playing. Because I guarantee you, you could send in 30 petitions a day for cursing...its not gonna stop it. Besides...ALOT of people have more than one account, so if you think someone getting banned for cursing is keeping them from anything..your wrong. Anyway..buh bye.

Ok..I read most of this thread..and I tried to resist commenting, but just can't. I'm not saying anyone on this thread is wrong..or right. Everyone has made rather decent points in some way or fashion. My question is this. What exactly is it about the F-bomb, or the "S word",...etc. etc. that people find so offensive? Again.. I'm not trying to start a arguement, nor am I talking down to those who happen to find cussing offensive. I'm simply throwing out a thought.. or question.

WHY do people find cussing offensive? Is it because of religious beliefs? If so..no where in any text does any form of lord/god..whatever you wanna call it/him/her..state that the "F-bomb" is a swear/curse word. That was something detemined by society..meaning humans. If its because of the way a person is raised..again..its based on someone's opinions and views being imposed on someone else as they grow up. Once more...I'm not downing anyone beliefs or views, I'm simply asking a question.

What terms does a word have to meet in order to be classified as a curse/swear word? Cause I might wanna make up some new ones. No I have no point in all this. Again, just tossing out a thought. As far as the "children play the game" movement. I get that, but hey.. guess what..my oldest son wants to play CoH...but.. I won't let them. Why? Because I know there are alot of people just like me in the cursing sense that play the game. I curse in front of my kids..not alot.. but it happens.. now heres the important part..I don't let them do it. If I hear my kids cursing..they get in trouble. "How can you punish them for something you do yourself?" Easy.. I'm 31 and daddy, he's 8 and my son. Meaning...my house, my rules. My point here is.. letting your child play CoH is the same as letting them watch a movie alone.. a movie that you know NOTHING about. You have no clue what they might see and/or hear, so maybe you should think twice before letting junior hang out in Pocket D.

Before I would even consider saving anyone..first thing I'd do would be to make myself rich. Hey.. I've got three kids that are gonna wanna go to college at some point, not ta mention bills and all the other **** I just simply would like to have. Although this would only work if no one knew it was me doing things suchs as robbing banks, and I would have to make sure my kids never found out...but hey..it'd be worth it.

Before you decide where to have it, consider this.... Pocket D is the WORST place in the world for a wedding. For one the constant chatter in broadcast, also you gotta think about all the people in the D. Do you really think people will be considerate of you're lil wedding? I can tell you now.. they won't. The VIP lounge is also the location of the tailor..thus making it a bad idea, due to the amount of people coming in and out of the place...not to mention when you TP into the D using the Pocket D VIP pass power...you tp into the VIP lounge.

Then of course there's the fact that a wedding in the D will only attract every spammer in the game.. lol.

I only have one question. Where do you pricks get the ******* ego to assume you can tell someone how they play the game THEY pay for on a monthly basis is wrong? I tell ya what.. I love farming, I farm for xp, influence, prestige, and tickets (when I use AE to farm) The tickets are great for getting DO's and SO's with. Anyway..back to my point. Person A pays a monthly fee to play a video game. So how in the hell does person B have the right to say "YOUR WRONG,farming is BAD... no no no..whiiine."

This arguement will /never/ end, people will ALWAYS farm, its not like they're robbing a damn bank, or even hurting anyone /at all/. First and foremost.. the people who are causing the REAL PROBLEM are all of you out there complaining to the devs and trash talking other people in this community for farming. You reaaally think the devs sit around worried about farming? Hell you think they didn't know what was gonna happen when they added AE to this game? Ever notice how close /most/ of the AE buildings are to a trainer? Think about it.

Also.. I think alot of you are just arguing for no other reason that to simply....argue. If thats the case... you're biggest issue really isn't farming. I'm not trying to insult anyone on a personal level, I'm simply saying I wish people would just stop coming down on on others players in this game based on such a stupid reason like farming. *sings a song... Its my mooooney and I'll farm if I want to, faaaarrrrm if I want to.*

I also agree. An' I just gotta say something. Did a arguement almost start about whose made up, FICTIONAL character interactions are better? I'm just asking..cause ..ya know.. I want to be sure I'm not back in kindergarten. Anyway..speaking of the D, alot of people talk down about the D like its te plague, but as a earlier poster mentioned.. it IS a bar/nightclub. People don't usually go to these places to carry out a devious plot or try n save the world. So if THATS what your looking for, you should probably look somewhere else. The RP in the D is about 70% people just hanging out and RP'ing about random BS, 10% OOC chatter in broadcast, 10% people being OOC and just watching the show n waiting for a good laugh, and 5% people looking for ERP.

Just my opinion.

I for one try to avoid the aforementioned people who take this game and their RP waaay to seriously. Caring about you character and what happens to them is one thing..hell if you've put alot of time into creating said character..its pretty much to be expected. Thinking that just because your character is in a relationship with mine, that we have some kind of damn OOC bond..well thats just @#%%$@ing nutz.

Its all just RP, made up fun things we do to help take our minds off of the everday droll of RL. Nothing more, nothing less. As far as SGs/VGs go...IMO there reallys isn't a point in joining a group right now, unless you know the person/people in charge of it. Cause from my understanding..when GR comes out quite a few groups are gonna DIE. If I read right n all that...if a hero goes COMPLETELY villian they auto-lose their place in a SG, and vice-versa.

Which would make sense, because a COMPLETE villian cannot go back into Paragon City UNTIL they've done their allignment changing mishs.

Hmm.. I can solve everyone's problem simply by saying this..... Its a game, a game that each person pays 15 bucks a month for. If they want to PL, SO WHAT? If they wanna go to a server and fill every slot with a 50 in 5 days, who cares? /THEY/ are paying money to do so. If you don't like this.. DON'T PARTAKE. Don't team with em, hell don't even talk to em. I seriously don't understand where some people get the ego to think that something like PL'ing should be wiped off the map because /they/ don't like it.

I don't PL alot, but I have done it a few times. Now.. how do you know a person doesn't PL a toon, simply to get a idea of the AT at it fullest, and /then/ go and reroll the toon and actually play it to lvl 50, but with a full understanding and a plan on the build they want? You don't, stop whining and get over yourself.

The only problem with SGs/VGs is this... yeah it provides a person with a possible constant source of RP, but retention in a group is damn near impossible. I have started a SG and a VG on Virtue, along with two SGs on Freedom. The Freedom SGs, while I was still playing on that server seemed much more active than the groups here on Virtue.

I'm not trying to say one server is better than another, but on Virtue, players have so many alts that hell.. there's a good chance some RP might start in the SG on a Monday night, carry on through /that/ night..and then just come to a halt in the middle of the "story" and not pick up again until the middle of next week. Simply because of the amount of alts people have and play. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I'm just saying that with everyone telling the OP to go join a RPSG/VG, maybe someone should let him know that doing so will not necessarily solve his problem, but is a good chance to form connections with other chars and their players

If what was "said was actually GTFO, and not Get The F*** Out, then I can completely understand why a person would assume it was typed in a OOC context. Yes.. even though alot of the stupid people in the world have actually started saying things like omg, and wtf in RL instead of using actual words in their speech, Not all of us have fallen quite /that/ far down the ladder yet. Maybe they were being OOC, maybe they were being IC, but most of the intelligent people I've met would consider GTFO as being OOC "text" speak. But hey.. maybe I'm just old and don't understand those young and dumb whipper snappers out there.

Last I heard.. the Fitness pool power /Swift/ does not couple with Ninja Run, but it does with Sprint. A way around this though.. turn on Ninja Run and Sprint at the same time.. trust me it actually makes Ninja Run a bit faster, especially if you have Swift slotted by 2 or 3.

I must say that for once it seems everyone is in agreement on a subject. :P Wish it could/would happen more often. Anyway.... like the others stated, RP can be found pretty much anywhere, athough sometimes it can be hard to tell whether or not a person is being IC or OOC while walking around. I for one have a DS/MM that I RP with frequently. While on this char I'm sometimes IC and sometimes OOC. I put in her bio the way to tell the difference though.

If she's walking around with one of her demons following her..she's IC. No demon means OOC. Yeah, yeah.. I know, some people get annoyed by MMs running around in the D with their pets out, but I always use one of the quite little ones, and try my best to keep him out of pple's way. Someone complains.. I bring em all out, which is also stated in the bio.

The D can be a good place to find decent RP, like one person said.. just check a toon's bio for RP info such as convo starters, ice breakers, all kinds of tidbits that can help you get some RP started.. or find out if the person even RPs at all. Don't give up bud..you'll find what you're looking for.

/This/ is why I love reading the forums. Its always good for a laugh or two. For future reference.. 5-15 people out of over 100K saying they won't buy another booster pack because they didn't like /this/ one..doesn't really mean all that much. Granted..the bushy tail /should've/ been given as a freebie to everyone..but..**** happens. Yes.. they probably threw it in there because they knew some people would buy the pack /just/ for the tail..but so what. Its a /business/ first and foremost, and money is /always/ top shelf in a business. If they didn't plan on making money from the game... there wouldn't be a game.

Second..why is it.. that no matter what the devs put in the game, its never good enough? I mean seriously, I'm willing to bet that if they said everyone in the D on Thursday would get 1 billion in ingame money../someone/ would complain about having to go to the D to get it. Come on people.. its /not/ that serious. Complaining about little things like the neck and tail joints? Really?

Who the hell has their camera zoomed in that much enough to notice something like that? Not many. Looks to me like people just like to complain and nic-pick about whatever they can.
