    Blaster weapons?

I think it would look very neat to see a fire blaster useing a sword to instead of their hands. AR blasters would have to use the gun still cause of the bullets. Or even create a new weapon all together they could use. Maybe a staff or glaive (ms?). There are a lot of weapons to pick from. Just an idea though. What yall think?
I want my Energy blaster to use a ray gun instead. Alternate animations/weapons for the same powers/effects would be fine with me. Kudos on the idea!

50-50 fights are the best kind. Knowing that you can best every opponent is boring to me. A risky fight makes for some excitement. Seeing the orange crone pop out on my lowbie defender forces me to use tactics instead of button smashing.

As for the banner event... I try not to agro too much as a lowbie. Let the big dogs do the fighting and just run support. (I still die tho, but debt is just another badge.)
  3. 60+ month vet...

Never done a Hami, never even seen the Hive.

Never completed a villain respec. (only done 1 heroside, ever!)

Never played a stalker past level 10.

    Never did Cathedral of Pain.

    Never defeated Caleb.

    Never made a 2nd build.

    I'm sure there are more...

I filed a bug report yes.

The bosses were kinda cool. I had not seen them before. I will have run it again and take a screeny. iirc they were a fire based red paragon protector looking type thing, yet they were CoT.

    Correct.
  6. I run a CoT mini farm (boat map) on my WM/SD at +1/x5, no bosses.

I tried it at +1/x8, no bosses... and bosses spawned anyway. The bosses ran from me all the time while the minions and lt's stood their ground, so I went back to x5.

  10. A non-spines form of Toxic Melee.

Toxic Armor (something new, look like Vahz disease? Nice!)

    Rad Melee.

    Broadsword*.
------- A two handed sword would be great. Granted the 2h version would not be compatible with shield, but that's ok with me.

Well, I always prefer to have both the first and second attack while leveling, my attack chain is much more filled that way. The usual incentive to go with the stronger of the two was because of late game where the weakest one is superfluous, but with abundant free/vetspecs and dual builds that ain't an issue anymore... I usually respec/branch to second build at 33 and kick the weakest one out if the rest of the attacks are enough. In some sets, they aren't, but in WM, they are IIRC.
I have a 50 WM/SD. I found that dropping Bash after aquiring Shatter (around lvl 26?) left me with enough of an attack chain to keep decent dps.

Crowd Control > Clobber > Shatter > Jawbreaker > Pulverize > REPEAT, can mop up a decent herd of mobs.

Whirling Mace is handy. I use it when herding/farming. Some builds don't take it, guess it's a matter of preferance.
  12. It can stun yes. Clobber and um, the 2nd attack (I cant remember the name as I'm @ work) can both disorient. Also crowd control and shatter both can knockdown. War Mace has excellent mitigation as an offensive set.

Note that paired with DA it will be an endurance hog. End redux and recovery io set bonuses will help once built, but at lower level be sure to carry lots of blues.

    New Ideas

Fire/Inv is sturdy. Good damage and survivability.

Check out War Mace/* also. It has good mitigation as an offensive set and is a heck of alot of fun.
  14. I will be playing whichever toon of mine is the most difficult to solo or find teams with. Maybe some gimp defender that I haven't played since the last 2xpwknd. It's definitely a good time to get those pesky teen level toons into their twenties.

for these uber vets, i have 3 question! what toons have you been playing for all this time? have you played one from when you started till now? whats your favourite build?
    1. All except Khelds (just can't get into them)

    2. My BS/Regen is the first toon I made when I got the game, my first 50, and is semi-shelved.

    3. Brute (WM/SD especially)

A wink's as good as a nod to a blind bat.
  17. You will want to invest in some sort of KnockBack protection as well as the aforementioned defense and recharge.

The paramilitary feel can be achieved well thru costume options. As much as I like the look of Assault Rifle, it's not very magic origin-ish.

As far as a partner. I like the Corr you are working on. (I may give it a try) I could also recommend you try a brute, maybe Dark/WP. It gives the magic look and should have enough single target dmg to not mess up all the mezzes also, survivability to boot.

    Just some ideas.
  19. Today was the first day I have experienced problems.

    New York
    Optimum Online (Cablevision)
    Victory Server

You're forcing me to go drink beers until it's fixed.
  20. As punishment make him solo play a sonic/elec defender. :P
  21. Now with custom colors, it can be even prettier!

    14 50's

I currently have eight fifties in the 60 months I've played. I think the order I got them in is...

    BS/Regen Scrapper
    Elec/Elec Blaster
    Stone/Dark Brute
    Fire/Fire Brute
    Plant/Rad Controller
    Crab Spider
    Night Widow
    Ice/Ice Tanker
    and
Mace/Shield Brute (48, but will be 50 this weekend)

The Longest was the first, at like 8 months, but the game was way different then. The fastest was the Crab Spider (All Veat teams were rampant when they first came out and the xp was sick)

To try and get one of each AT would take me FOREVER. Some AT's just bore me to tears. But to have a more Brutes using all the powers, now that I may try.
  23. There are low level Paragon Police Bosses (Captain?)who summon cops to help them. That "could" be worked into a new set, not that we need another set.
