The patch adding Enhancement Converters is on Beta today.
Quote:NEW VIP ONLY FEATURES- Enhancement Converters (ECs) allow you to convert one Archetype Origin or Invention Origin enhancement (but not Store Bought Enhancements) randomly into another enhancement. You can convert an enhancement into another within the same set (for 3 ECs), same rarity (for 1 EC) or same category (for 2 ECs).

Quote:Yes, the new Beta patch adds that and other updates.Does anyone know if the new Dimension Shift is supposed to take the Controller ATIOs?
Quote:Gravity Control- Dimension Shift now phases allies as well as enemies. Allies are not immobilized by the patch and can freely move out of it to become un-phased. This allows allies to choose whether to phase and attack the phased enemies, or to stay unphased and be protected from the phased enemies.
- Dimension Shift's recharge is now 60 seconds, down from 90 seconds.
- Dimension Shift can now be slotted with ATO sets as well as Immobilize sets.
- Propel now "splashes" knockdown on three additional targets nearby the primary target, within a 15' radius.
- Fixed a graphical error with a streaking particle on Dimension Shift.

Imagine Wonder Woman trying to impress Primal Earth people with her invisible airplane; a citizen of Paragon would just shrug and say "Oh, it's made of the same stuff they make buses out of?"

Quote:You could, you'd have to radically rework the powers though. Swarms and birds would work pretty well for debuff & slow powers for example, and a giant wolf or lion appearing and howling/roaring would work as a Fear power. You could have a knockdown power where you summon a whole pack of wolves and they run through the target area knocking everything down. That sort of thing.I know BM is strictly for the MM Archtype, however is it wrong of me to also want it as a secondary set for Controllers?! Here me out here... It would not be so wrong to combine Plant Control with BM, which in effect would make for a druidic themed toon?
Nah... couldn't do that...
It would actually be easier to create an "Animal Assault" secondary for Dominators; the animals would just appear, attack and then vanish instead of hanging around like normal pets. -
Devouring Earth?
Actually, Devoured animals would be a nice touch for the DE. A warped "wolf" with face tentacles, say.
Well, they are LEOs. -
Quote:Beam Rifle? I've said in the past they should make Beam Rifle Lts for Longbow; it seems an appropriate weapon, and would break up the monotony of Nullifier-Nullifier-Nullifier-Nullifier...The thing that I'm most interested in for Beast Mastery is which character or enemy group will also get it?

Quote:Actually it makes perfect sense from their perspective. 2XP is a good draw for drawing people back to the game; so is the release of a new powerset. From that perspective, putting both out at once is redundant; it makes more sense to do one, then the other.so it looks like neither staff or beast mastery will not make it to the double xp event, wow, thats a bad call on the devs to do something like that in my opinion, i can just see the artical for next week "hope you all got your characters to lvl 50 with the double xp event, what a great way to celebrate this then by making you do it all over again with our new powerset!" come on devs, come on.

Trying to log on to my Grav/Time on Liberty; I got an error message, then a character model that was all untextured blank white. I rebooted the game & tried again; when that failed I decided to go off and have dinner (spaghetti, yum!) Then I came back and found out it was the game in general, not just me.

That assumes that everyone power levels to 50s and Incarnates, never playing anything lower level.

Well, for one thing /Poison has separate powers for debuffing the enemy's defenses and offense, so it can use Seeds + Envenom on them and speed their ability to kill each other. As opposed to, say, /Rad; Radiation Infection debuffs defense AND accuracy, and Enervating Field debuffs resistance AND damage.

Quote:IIRC, the stealth on Superior Invisibility is a bit higher the the SF/ IO combo (not sure if it matters though) and it lowers your Threat Level. When faced with a similar choice on my Ill/Storm though I just took both, put a LOTG in Superior Invisibility and used it purely for stealth, and slotted Steamy Mist for end reduction & resist for use as an armor in combat.I'm also playing a fledgling Illusion/Dark and just want to raise the question of invisibility. Is there any valid reason to choose Superior Invisibility over Shadow Fall? Assuming, of course, a Stealth IO is involved.
I WANT to choose Superior Invis. But the min/maxer in me screams Shadow Fall. -
I've made a Dark/Storm named The Queen of Tempests, dressed mostly in Imperial Dynasty. And a Dark/Dark named Martial Artist, whose powers (and outfit) are all bright colored and who is supposed to be using "paint control" via an enchanted paintbrush, rather than Dark Control.

Mary MacComber, 10 times over.

Ah, that makes sense.

Quote:What do you mean? The Patch Notes have been up for a while now.Okay... That is weird that they would only announce in-game and not in the news section... odd... but no biggie really... just thinking it was not a fully hatched plan then or well thought-out... with this user-base you would think they would still make an actual post.

28th is the end of Spring Fling; Events don't usually shut down without the servers going down.

The single-cylinder pack is maybe a little big, but the two-cylinder backpack looks just right to me. And yes, it would be nice if they came in "small" and "large" versions, although I've no idea how much or how little work that would take.

Nifty! Looks like a definite sale for me, I already have various characters who could use that stuff.
