Well, that was part of the idea; if people were willing to pay for sets, then they could afford to make more. If it means that more sets come out faster then I'm all for it.

So once again the rest of the game is screwed over by PvP? Typical; and especially obnoxious given that they added PvP/PvE only effects supposedly to deal with just that sort of problem.

I'm not sure what Dom-specific changes you could or should make for Doms that wouldn't also be good for controllers. The low AoE control of the set and late availability of Wormhole hurts Controllers too. And Dimension Shift is just as useless for Controllers as it is for Doms.

From Von Krieger's transcript of today's talk about Issue 22 changes:
Quote:Hopefully sooner than later. The "speed of thought" in Paragon and the Isles appears to be pretty slow.Projectile speed on Propel has been upped as well. That will be ported over to other things with slow projectile speeds.
Then again, that DOES explain quite a bit... -

Some people will take it for concept. And my Grav/Psi has it simply for the smashing damage to use on all those psi-resistant robots.

Quote:Another interesting thing is that the main setting for the game is called Primal Earth. I don't believe it's stated anywhere if our dimension really is significant enough to be called Primal or if it's just called that because of 'our' own hubris.Quote:Primal Earth is said to have more conenctions/links to other dimensions than anywhere else, so it's like a dimensional hub, and more important than other Earths.
Quote:Primal Earth is a dimensional universe and the primary setting of the City of Heroes lore. It is one of many dimensions in the multiverse and is the dimension where most of the user's gameplay takes place.
The name "Primal Earth" was given to the dimension by that dimension's Portal Corporation after their discovery of alternate Earths in other dimensions. Leading scientists of Primal Earth believe their world is a nexus of power with tendrils that connect it to many alternate Earths such as the Rikti homeworld and Praetoria. They further postulate that it has more such connections than any alternate Earth and so it must be considered the focal point of those worlds.
As with any scientific theorem, there are some who disagree, even within the Primal Earth scientific community. Beings who call those other Earths their home also tend to see their world as central. The Praetorian emperor, for example, often refers to Primal Earth simply as Statesmans World and any scientist trying to convince him otherwise would most likely find his employment terminated. -

It there any particular reason to choose Scrapper or Brute for TW? Or is it a "pick whichever you like" set?

Quote:Well, when my villainous Claws/Fire Brute infiltrated the Squad in the guise of Alistair McKnight, no one found it suspicious that he had a tail, ran about on all fours, and was on fire. I'd say that they aren't the most perceptive bunch.Between him and Percy Winkley it seems the Midnight Squad has trouble keeping track of it's own members too.
Or that they have some truly wild parties. -
There's a high level Devouring Earth mission where you rescue an ambassador from an alternate world, no mention of them being dangerous.

Quote:Blown up/open, and the artifacts stolen; it comes up in Matthew Habashy's new heroside starting arc. You recover an artifact from the vault from the Hellions. But wasn't Galaxy City Destroyed? so What happened to the vault?

Quote:There's also picking up an immobilize with -kb to neutralize the knockback in an attack like Hurl Boulder or TK Thrust, or picking up the AoE immobilize from Elec/ to keep everything in Static Field and add a little more endurance drain. Or picking up Roots from Plant/, to keep confused enemies clumped together, and ensure you get credit for their defeats if your Assault set is short on AoE.Only possible reasons for picking up immobilize on a dom
-Picking up the AE immobilize to use in conjuction with an AE stun or confuse
-Picking up the ST immbolize to immobilize a PTOD type
-Picking up for set bonuses, since immobilize sets tend to be among the lower cost sets -
So far I've found /Storm and Trick Arrow to be good matches; they add both damage and control to Grav, which is weak in both.

You mean turn it into a power that people often recommend skipping, like they do Thunder Clap? No thanks. Better a power that's good on its own than one that requires stacking.

Quote:Found it! It was in the Unanswered Pummit Questions thread.
Quote:Replace is not the word I would use. I would say Darkness Control is coming out I22 and Illusion Control is not. -
