Im not impressed...but If I shout to loud, someone with a
will just overcome me with ultra positivity.

Tanks.
It's not a fun job for me. It feels like a job to me...and I dont want to play something that feels like work. -
I like controllers snd doms
I love my Grav/FF/Psi Controller
I also love my Mind/Psy/Fire Perma Dom
Im beginning to love my Dark/Pain Corr -
Id be lying if I said I was pleased by all of it.
Sam start a controversial topic somewhere about the lack of bathrooms in Paragon City or something so I have something to do for a little. -
Id only take that set if it was ported to the Dom "Spouse Assault"
-
It needs to be more friendly to other AT's othr than the HP oriented group.
As it is, the HP group sails through three of the trials better than almost every other AT.
The pulses are fun, but needs to be reduced to allow other styles of play to participate and actually have "FUN".
Then again...it just means the Melee HP group will be untouchable..which is what I think the people designing it wanted to take into factor considdering they sail through the other trials with ease.
So I guess what Im saying is that yes. Tanks, Brutes, and scrappers are very popular, but the rest of us don't always want to play their game.
So either make it accessable to people who have other styles of play or just stop!
Funny thought though is if you tailored the pulse damage per AT...meaning less for squishies and (more/the same) for Tanks then I bet you would be furiously stormed by people who just can do your Keyes with Ease.
But then they will complain when the healers quit and cannot stop the disintigrate.
Ok...new thought.
No one will be happy ever! -
I seriously feel that people should pull their heads out of their bumholes and pay attention to mechanics and not frill and community. Community fosters its self regardless of what we take for granted...
Look at game play scenarios....Sure we wat to foster community, but without sounding like a complete pancake, Im sort of getting tired of cheer leaders and CoX groupies foregetting this is an MMO with team oriented goals...and frankly CC's and trading etc ar all nice nice...but it's not going to be the hindering or creating the great devide. Mechanics will!
If you are going to look at things. Start Big...Sweat the small stuff later. If it ruins game play then it's an issue, if it's frill...then work it out.
Seriously!
CC's are nice...and so is completeing a mission, and if our goal is to freak out new players to not sub, well then, overall we are doing a bang up job! -
I think it's more the tude being tossed than the sense being made.
I don't care if someone can get tells.
Im more concerned about being herded into the VIP section in order to ensure I am on a team which can work to complete normal content without the hassles that "Would" make the game annoying to play for any of the tiers of "Paydom"
Trading insps, is my main beef, which I have made clear, but Im also concerned about this and other options creating a huge devide amongst players. Much like the Tirinity does in pretty much any other game.
I do not want to hear the following.
"Mission team or ITF LF2M. Must be Prem, or VIP" which is close to "LFM Healz needed"
Why? Because it's stupid, and it means longer wait times trying to assemble a team because now you are not just picking and choosing between the AT's you are letting in, but now you need to worry about whether or not you can actually function. -
Still...and I must say this as loudly as possible, and yet remain in normal font!
Inspirations are a mechanical need for new players, old players, excellent players, and bad players. Drunk players (Hiya Pinacle) Sober players, Cat Girls, Lobster Bois, Demons, Prostitots, and everything ever invented. Without the ability to pass inspirations you break fluidity of the game, missions, and pretty much all content.
I don't want to sit in a sewer for half an hour waiting for people to return, and I don't think they want to either.
Cut trades for anything else and we can manage.
On another note...I guess I could totally merc my Empath and my red side Pain Corr out for missions to allow for smooth completion of a normal mission. -
My concern only, and has always been insps...because frankly people die, or people need something. This halts the progress of free players, and old players alike. If my tank can't get up, or the blaster keeps dying, then I am in a situation of "City of No Game Play" waiting for people to come back from the hospital.
Not being able to trade insps would be the games downfall. Especially Red Side, which needs love. It also then creates and issue of either herding paying people to the VIP (Of which we all don't want to go) where the mentality is the same as it always was.
I was hoping that Red Side would be populated more with the creation of freedom, but there is no point on playing if the team dies and no one can trade even common insps. Which completely ruins a possible flux of new red players.
To me it's completely backwords thinking.
Im not concerned about CC's etc, considdering that is part of our culture but not as important as game mechanics.
Not being able to send mail is also not important. Not being able to trade salvage is not important, and not being able to give recipes is not important. Those are frill things that don't hinder the fluid progression of a mission. Not being able to provide insps to people just means downtime, lingering in missions and waiting for people...which is not fun for new people (Who we are hoping sub REMEMBER!) or old people who might not mind working with new people.
It's Game breaking! It's staggering to what we know and love about the game, and frankly, other than making a heal based character with a rez on high recharge absolutely needed (Again this goes against what we always talk about when reffering to the trinity) just in order to ensure a decent flow of game play is completely baffling.
The other stuff is workable. What is not workable is a mechanic neccesary to ensure flow of the game being taken out by free players, when the drawbacks effect all players in the same annoying way. -

Well our own AT names sort of break down the general concepts of the basic villain types found in comics, and it does it well even for thematic purposes, but to delve a little deeper into the concept of villainy being grouped into Desgusting or Glam, is interesting.
I think it depends purely on the story behind that character. Currently I am running a corrupter who is both glamerous and yet disgusting. She is looks great, and some woould say attractive. However she is a feeder of life essense. A soul sucking fiend who was driven crazy after being vanished to the nether realm.
Most of the time she is controlable unless she depeletes her energy by using many of her attacks...eventually she starts rotting, and her costume slots allow her to putrify to get that effect.
So I would say she is a combination of both. Young and beautiful, glamorous and calm and then driven to extremes whe she cannot control her hunger. Then she becomes depraved and vicious.
On another note, I have one villain who just became corrupted because of her power and back story. Villainy just came naturally, and sibling rivaly pushed her overboard. Now she works for hire, does bad things, and really does not care what gets in her way. But I would not considder her depraved or sick, nor disgusting. I would not say that her moral compas is facing south to the extreme, but perhaps east or west.
She is driven by power, secret arcane magic, and a lust for material gain. But I would not say she would be disgusting.
Depending on your concept of moral, disgusting can be anything really. Mugging an old blind woman in a wheel chair could be considdered disgusting, as could more depraved acts. It just depends.
I have met many heroes who use their charms, body and authority to do things that I would just deem as perfectly disgusting. -

But...mainly the Glam Hair. Just gotta have it! -
Well I guess it might not be one person, but many who influenced my main Rift-Dancer. She quickly became my favorite, and remains my favorite to this day.
Her influence oddly enough came from the MFing Warshade. However I hated playing the warshade so I just took the story, morphed it into something else, and became a Grav/FF controller, but gave her teleport, colored her powers similar to Warshade colors and said she mutated.
It was an appealing option as well because people said that this combination was much disliked, and generally not super strong together, but gradually she became my most powerful.
So, my influence was also the fact that she might appear to be an underdog, and with the learning curve before me, she became my 2nd 50 and my first incarnate and I have never looked back. -

I did not receive submissions from every server or every archetype, therefore I'm choosing the best fits for the planned arcs + who has shown interest with still a limit of one per global. I'm sorry data will keep me limited and if you're character wasn't selected...

Quote:First off...it's silly because these are supposed to be regarded as heroes, not fashion consultants. These are supposed to be the epic characters of the game, and this just makes them lose their punch. Yes, you can just go to Icon, but that does not mean the issue goes away.If this hurts your immersion, can't you just go to Icon and the Facemaker like you do now?
I don't see how me editing my costumes at a trainer will hurt your immersion when you're at a tailor doing the same.
Thats like saying you're eating "Pancake" but if you eat it in a fancy restoraunt it's lobster.
You editing your costume at the trainer does not ruin my immersion per say, but it does not mean it makes sense that Paragons Epic toons are now sewing up my battle thong. -
To me whip only makes sense as a Dom Assault Set. Or perhaps a Blaster Secondary support. But by the nature of the whip being partially ranged and melee it lends very well to being ported to a Dom assault.
Also...doms should have whips? No? -
If you stopped breaking things, they wouldn't have to keep fixing it.
