I suggest NCSoft test it a bit more on IE. I just deleted all my history, cookies, etc. and it still doesn't work "right".

When I type in "cityofheroes.com" it goes to the Freedom page, with the video and the "Play for Free Now" button (http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/freedom.php).
Ok, that's in Internet Explorer. When I try it in Chrome, it does indeed go to the main page (http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/).
But it still doesn't excuse the fact that they got rid of the "Go to cityofheroes.com" link from the Freedom page.

It was only 45 megabytes, so it can't be too much.
And until the patch notes are up, we won't know for sure.

Why can't I get to the main page of City Of Heroes any more? There used to be a link in the upper right "Go to cityofheroes.com" that is now missing.
There is NO WAY to get to the main page from the Free To Play page of the top-level domain.
Way to go, NCSoft. Now I can't just type in the address on a friend's computer or at the library; I have to know the actual URL of the main page in order to see what's going on with the game I already own and play.
If anyone can figure out how to get to the main page without using a favorite/bookmark, please speak up. Otherwise, bring your pitchforks and torches.

Quote:Unless you're doing it at level 10-15, when it can get pretty intense. As far as the lost curing wand goes, depending on my level I usually go to the Hollows or Faultline depending on my level when I do it. Yes, the recharge time on the wand is irksome, but the way I see it, this is a mission in which there is no danger to self, so to balance that they put in a longish recharge.

Quote:Same here. I wonder what the deal is?I'm in the same boat. The funny thing is, I used to get the emails, but they stopped, without my having changed anything. I verified that they are not getting flagged as spam. And, just like you, I get the bug, petition, and survey emails with no problems...

Quote:BINGO. I have the "My Xbox LIVE" app on my iPhone. I can see my friends' activity. (Granted, Xbox is a hell of a lot bigger than Paragon, but doesn't mean I can't want.)^^ So are you saying I can accomplish what I'm looking for via Steam?
I have Steam and this is exactly the kind of feature I'm looking for, but in a smartphone app.
Actually, what got me wanting this was playing Xbox Live the other day. When I see one of my friends is playing a particular game, it often makes me stop the game I'm currently playing and go join them instead. For COH, I imagine its a good thing to get players to quit playing Game X for COH instead by using as many opps to pull players in as possible. Their community, IMHO, is one of their strongest incentives to play out there.

Adding to all of the above, I'm still amazed at the brilliant design of the AT system. The same game plays completely differently with different builds, even in the same AT. This is one reason why I still love playing my 50s all the time.

Quote:My FIRST THOUGHT on seeing that picture.Do you really think BABs needs any help carrying that coffin?

EDIT: Here'sa better view of her:

In its early days, Champions had an iPhone app that let me see my game email, and displayed my characters and their stats/bios, among other things. I used it a lot. And now with the Paragon Market, there's even more incentive to give them another way to part us from our money.

Quote:I created a character to leave in Outbreak before the changeover. My only disappointment is that you can't earn XP in Outbreak; it would have been cool to level-up-without-training all in Outbreak.I logged a toon that I've not had out for a long time. Essentially it was a concept toon that became a placeholder for a not very exciting name. I just logged into it to see what it was about.
It was in Outbreak.

I didn't read the whole thread, but I agree that desirability and usefulness should be inherent for all ATs.

And just to link to it again, Znrgy_Xeronus' costume gallery. (Although a surprising number of these have come true, in one form or another.)

Quote:If only the silly inconvenient bird was a bit more convenient, not requiring you to re-talk to him to set another setting. Was a "back" option too difficult in the dialog options? Why did we get a silly inconvenient bird instead of a much more convenient menu option?

Quote:You've never worked in commercial software development, have you?And the second part of my post, when we report bugs over and over again in the Beta forums, major game breaking ones at that, and they still push it live complete with bugs?
Quote:The feedback threads when they stated they CANT add or modify SOMETHING in the pack due to time and resources. I dont get it.

Ease of programming, mostly. Saving individual bytes hasn't been a worthwhile effort for 20 years or so; using a smaller datatype is only worthwhile if you've got a *lot* of data of that type (eg. pixel color values).
Also, regarding the OP, one of the best game screenshots evar.

Quote:While I know and understand this, I usually just exit out because, "Eh, too much work." Especially when you're trying to find a face that matches the "old" one currently on a character. Unless I really need to update the costume or use one of the cool new pieces I have, it's, "Welp, guess not tonight."What you are most likely running into is costume parts that have been moved in the costume creator. In this case, you'll need to find the new location of the costume part and put it back on the character.
