Quote:That would actually be cool. The only way I would be ok with build switching without visiting an NPC would be:
- Set Player Health 1
- Set Player Max Regeneration 0, duration 60 seconds.
- Set Player Max Endurance 0, duration 60 seconds.
- Set all powers state to Initial Recharge.
- Wipe all Buffs/Debuff on character.
In other words, we do NOT want players to be able to situationally change power selections. -
Quote:Oh yes and why do you think they nerfed the xp for those? Easy kills, little risk. They knew that simply nerfing boss and lieutenant farms wouldn't be enough. As people would just make freakshow farms and get extra xp from the self rezing mobs. Mito farms were also insane xp with just having a controller or 2 to hold the mobs. Maniac slammers were also very much limited to only 2 attacks.<sarcam>Yeah, because all those Freaks, Mito, and Maniac Slammer farms were really only full of custom critters this entire time, which were only used for farming and not being used in legitimate arcs.</sarcasm>
A lot more story arcs got trashed by these nerfs than farms did. That is why so many authors are angry.
Farmers always get everything just like pvpers usually get powers nerfed. -
Quote:I honestly can't tell if this is a troll post or not. Are you serious? It was easy to level 1 - 50 before the FIRST xp curve. Now we have yet another xp curve and 1 - 20 alone is insanely fast now.Terrible Terrible Terrible. They ruined not only AE whether you used it for leveling or for stories, but they also seemed to have nerfed developer content xp and made it harder. I was comforted by the idea of going back to old school missions but now it seems that its going to be harder to level than it was before AE came around. It was hard enough as it was back then!
Enemies seem to have too much range and are too easy to aggro. Not sure what they did with the numbers but it seems that they really have messed up a lot of stuff.
Stuff is about to get really hard to buy. Prepare to take forever to level up toons and be able to buy things for your toons. I understand nerfing AE, but they should have left the developer content as it was.
And for the record, boss farms and lieutenant farms were not for stories and thats really all that was nerfed in AE. -
Traps/AR defender and a shield/electric melee tanker. Both look like they are going to be quite interesting.

I'm pretty sure that we will be able to cross over to "real" paragon city and "real" rogue isles. As its something that has been requested for quite awhile. Praetoria will be a new zone/zones.

I know they said they would be having another double xp event for issue 16 since players on the east coast servers could not enjoy the last event due to the extreme latency issues with pccw. That issue is occuring again and I'd like to request that you delay double xp (at least for the east coast) until that latency issue is resolved so we can actually enjoy it this time.
I'll point you to this thread if you aren't aware of the problem already:

Pretty sure that this issue affects anyone using the base editor lol. It just continues to use more and more ram until you restart.

Back to having red grass again

Hey I'd be all for this change myself. I never have liked how everyone in granite looks ya know the same. Just like all form taking warshades and pbs look the same.
So we're basically talking about just making the current brown rock armor into a much much stronger looking stone like granite?
Hey if you decide against this could you by chance fix the gender change that occurs when you become granite? Currently when you use a taunt in granite form you sound like a male character regardless even if your character is female. -
Just happened again when I logged in near atlas park base portal. I did not have a fortune buff either as someone mentioned earlier.
-
I was crafting at the WW in Atlas then I goto my SG base to put some enhancements in storage. "Unable to add to inventory" uh wah? I'm the sg leader so I should naturally be able to use any container in my base. (the container is not full either) So I tried to take from the container and or use other containers. Nothing happens...
I check my sg status: SG window shows that I'm no longer in a SG. I test by typing in sg chat. SG chat still works. I try to relog and now I can't login to liberty without getting a "DB error" although I can logon to other servers just fine. -
Its happened a few times lately. Usually with my fireblaster and I'll login and my character is choking like it was just hit by one of those weird DE fungi men holds. I think its the DE spore burst hold or whatever. There is no indication that I was hit by anything, nothing in the combat log. MY character isn't actually held either its just weird logging on to find my character choking.
Before anyone asks I haven't did any DE missions on that character either nor was I on a team. I tend to notice this happens more when I login near the base portal in atlas park. -

Seems to be clean now. Finally!!
Just in time for issue 16 which I think is sometime this week?
-
I'd rather see them lower the cap so purples would be at a more reasonable price but thats just me...
-
It still isn't fixed. Here is the follow up:
Quote:As a further update on this issue, we've confirmed that this is a routing problem with one of our peer ISPs (PCCW). Our Network Engineering Team is in contact with them and is working to clear up the issue as quickly as possible. As far as technical support is concerned, we've done as much as we can and this is now incumbent upon PCCW to resolve.
In the meantime, we'll just need to be patient until this problematic ISP can resolve its connectivity issues.
If you have any questions or concerns please let us know

The I7's are too much if you ask me. I always build a top of the line setup when I build a new computer and it would cost me an extra 1000$ to that now. 1500$ total for the mobo, vidcard, processor alone.
I'll probably wait atleast a year to build another computer. -
Heh it was the old ubb forums that sometimes didnt load for me or took way too long to load. These work perfectly for me.
-
No, if you have only 1 gtx 295 you shouldnt have to install 2 drivers for it. I had the 9800 gx2 before and it was a "2 cards in one" setup as well.
-
Its pretty easy to do. Just have a scrapper or someone with force field buffs buff the team and go find the glowies. 3 of them are usually on one floor alone.
-
Not all gtx 260s are great. Who manufactured your gtx 260 and your 9800 gtx? I usually stick with evga or xfx myself.
-
Turn off vsync if you're trying to get more frames. I run a GTX 280 and Easily get way more than 50 frames.
I have all settings on max except for world detail which I keep around 150%. The AE buildings seem to cause my frames to drop if I push it to maximum. -
I wanted to post this in here as well as the east coast thread. I did update my ticket with another trace route and a ping plotter attached to it. I also I pointed them to the east coast thread. (where people all over North America are having issues)
Quote:You're right. When this ticket was created, we hadn't yet found the commonality at the root of this particular latency issue. The problem here seems to be related to a routing issue on the return path from our east coast datacenter. As such, only the east coast servers are affected by this.
Our Network Engineering team has been investigating this in an effort to get it resolved as quickly as possible. By this point, we've gathered enough information from you to include in a compiled report (of other affected customers) as part of their investigation. We currently have no update on this yet but we're working to get this cleared up so that our customers can continue to play on the east coast servers without this problem.

I just wanted to add that I tried playing on champion and the connection was a perfect green line there. Other than my ping (I guess thats a west coast server) So yeah its something NCsoft needs to fix or they need to get in touch with whatever router is causing everyone so much havoc.
