So are you saying the Rikti magically generated these homeless persons from thin air in order to use previously nonexistent starving homeless persons to infiltrate our society from the bottom up by... uhh I don't even get where your logic is coming from here.

How can homeless people tempted by Rikti into becoming Rikti servants not count as homeless people?

If the Lost aren't "real" homeless people lured into working for the Rikti, then why does the canon plot insist they are?

You ARE talking about the real City of Heroes, and not your imaginary version of it, right? Have you just never gone to the southern side of King's Row? Or are you just one of those people who MUST be right even if that requires denying reality?

... well, even before we go into the comics, let's just walk around Atlas and then walk around King's Row. Did you even think before you typed your response?
  6. Paragon City maintains huge, insane, massive statues en-masse in several cities, while people starve to death in King's Row. Considering the spread of useless vanity items versus social aid and growth programs.. it's _really_ hard not to think of Paragon City as exactly like the Rogue Isles, only with more tax dollars to abuse.
  7. Demon.Poison, ti fit the theme of the character. I've not played a Mastermind in a very long time.. does uhh.. anyone know why I don't have a window showing the status OF my pets?

Edit: Never mind, it mysteriously appeared

Air Warrior was prior art. Club Caribe was prior art. Scuttlebutt from my industry friends is Lucasarts took notice of worlds.com's attempt to patent something they had ALREADY patented in 1986 and then released into the public domain around 1991.

    Here is what Worlds.com "patented":

    http://www.google.com/patents?id=wv5...page&q&f=false

Do you see that? they basically tried to patent, not just a specific technology or technique, but a generic concept. Read it very closely, this also claims patent over FPS games. This is exactly like the man in australia patenting the wheel.

Furthermore, worlds.com did NOT DEVELOP ANY PROOF OF CONCEPT until late 2005 which is why the patent took that long to be granted. I want to stress that and make it clear to you. Your prior post talks about all of these things they supposedly did but it's factually not true.

And I reiterate Lucasfilm had already patented this for Habitat/Club Caribe and released it into the public domain likely before this patent troll company president was old enough to be out of diapers. The patent office is incredibly lax and does not understand, and there are plenty of cases, like this one, of the patent office reissuing something they already issued a patent on.

Until one realizes the point was not luck, but shifting of said luck. His character has to shift that luck from somewhere.
At first I wondered what happened in your childhood to make you unable to use your imagination to overcome what's happening on the screen and "see" it as your character kneeling down and using smelling salts, but then I realized you're just arguing to argue.

But this is another nail in the coffin for the EU market.

Bill Hicks said this, which is fitting.

If you are in marketing, do us all a favour and kill yourself.

Sorry for being a bit down, but what else can you say?
Are you seriously suggesting that they knowingly take a loss on distribution to markets that just aren't interested so a few dozen folks can have boxes?

I mean I love White Castle Hamburgers, but every time they try to open one in Montana, it fails within 3 months so they've stopped trying, and now we can only get the frozen storebought version of the burgers. Does this mean I am in the right suggesting that they keep a branch open here anyway despite the horrendous losses each time, or should I be happy that I can at LEAST get the frozen version still?

I'm sure if you send an email to NCSoft asking nicely if you can purchase a box and have it shipped overseas they will be happy to comply. It's a LOT better then demanding they post a huge loss or "lose your business". Your $15 a month is not going to pay for shipping and distribution of a product that has (if I understood what I read in a trade mag about a year ago about CoH in Europe), historically speaking, has _never_ made a profit in your market?

You say CoH is taking a big dump on Europeans? Fine.

Let's bear in mind that Europeans actually dumped on them first by making every attempt to distribute CoX an utter failure.

Funny thing about that, so does my wife. If we're thinking of getting intimate and one of her songs comes on the radio, man it's time for snuggles instead. That chick's voice is the opposite of alluring.

This one I will kick if I'm only gathering a small team. In a large team people's weaknesses fade, but no matter what a Petless Mastermind is not carrying his weight. It really doesn't matter in an 8 man team, you can slack off a bit (or be a basically useless build). I duo'd with one of these and it was worth nothing but progress towards my debt badge. An hour later he came back insulting me in broadcast and saying "see? I finished the mission without you!".

He probably still to this day doesn't understand what's wrong with dying 8 times in a mission and why I didn't want to be involved in that. I'm not a powerleveller by any means.. it took me 3 years to finally get someone to 50, but ugh.

I am NOT looking forward to all the idiotic petless Belmonts coming up.

I was there for a very long time in Beta. I was testing this game before you even knew what it was.

I'm happy they're finally counting that time properly instead of just the time I could afford the $15 a month to spare.

Don't say it's name or it will come back. That person is irritating and useless on every forum I've ever seen it on.

On-topic, I get a ton of negative rep and nasty comments about my sigfile. It makes me giggle, like they expect me to start talking about country music and homosexuality and the Bible and stuff just to annoy folks, despite being about as liberal as you can possibly be.

As a wise movie once said "You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions." If the guy mentions weapons in his sigfile, he's CLEARLY a super right winger and likely compensating for a small manhood, eh?

Around the 4th red bar I got sick of seeing it and turned it off.

The hilarity is Apple has an extremely long history of doing really scary Orwellian crap and suing people into oblivion for pretty much just daring to compete against them... and yet people still buy the marketing crap that Apple is fighting the good fight against the evil Microsoft empire.

Edited to add: Yes yes, I know CCP claims that all PLEX are bought from CCP with cash money and such. They also claimed they don't allow their GMs to cheat for players, and they don't interfere with player run corps. CCP has a trust level of about 10% from me, frankly. There's no doubt in my mind whatsoever that they generate PLEX on the fly simply to artificially inflate their player numbers.

Side tangent: I can't blame them, though. Everything they lie about is for the betterment of their game. Band of Brothers was GREAT press for them. Controversy pays off. Heck, it's even good business sense to DO so. You don't rise up in any business by being a paragon of virtue and truthfulness. Which is why most small businesses.. including my own.. fail so quickly. Honesty does not pay.

But I'd rather sleep soundly at night knowing I'm a good man then be a scumbag sleeping on silk sheets gained through deceit, lol; which pretty much assures I'll die poor.
