Very good for me as I had 5 drop on Saturday. Which is weird as I was moaning on global that I hadn't had one drop for weeks.
[/ QUOTE ]Lucky you! Seriously though, I can't remember having a purple recipe drop at all this year... gonna have to play with my higher lvl alts more I guess? -
[ QUOTE ]
Neat. I'm a legend too.
It says so right under my screenname.
<<<-----------------------------------
[/ QUOTE ]Likewise.
King of Toys was the first PvPer to defeat me IIRC, so a legend on that basis, not that I'm that hard to defeat in PvP, and was a nice guy. No l33t talk etc...
MaX (as Cynic said) as his knowledge of the game was exceptional. He was also the team leader of the first STF I did, on the very first saturday when i5 went live, when we were guessing at the best team to do it, and how to defeat all the EB/AVs. Was a fun TF.
Some of the other ones mentioned are obvious, but I'd like to put forward Omega_MCX, who has been organising robot rampages, rikti rampages etc... recently that seem to have regalvanised our (defiant's) community spirit, even though I've not had the time to partake. -

6). Tommy_Saf (lvl 50 empath/? defender)
[/ QUOTE ] You'll find that Tommy's empath is called Cunundrum - emp/NRG. Hope that helps. -
[ QUOTE ]
I was on a team in sharkhead and i think it took like 11 eochais to finally spawn him. Luckily we were more than 1 team. I think it's too random.
[/ QUOTE ]The only time I actively teamed to search for Jack, it took us 3-4 Eochais in Peregrine Island. One full team + 2-3 others.
I agree it is too random, and I like the idea that the chance of spawning Jack increases with every Eochai defeat/death. That should definitely be looked into for next year. -
[ QUOTE ]
I thought I saw one in the sewer first time I ran it (successfully) but have not seen one in there the 6+ times since
[/ QUOTE ]If the sewer bomb is not by the opening to the tunnel........then it is usually in the sewer area, that you access via a doorway just by the tunnel opening, that is a dead end. -
There is normally one in the sewer, one in the tunnels (between sewer and building) and 2 in the building. They all make noise so should be easy enough to find them!!!

Is it the team leader who has to be in the zone or the owner of the Mission
[/ QUOTE ]This isn't important on TFs.
Standard missions:- the mission owner needs to be in the relevant zone for the counter to go down.
TFs:- Anyone in the taskforce can go to any zone and defeat the relevant number of foes, or see a contact, it doesn't have to be the team leader at all.
With Numina's TF, it is better to split up on those defeat X in zone Y missions, to speed up the process. -

So why are costume pieces getting awarded with Tricks?
[/ QUOTE ]Not entirely sure why this was changed from last year, as believe that only treats awarded costumes then.
[ QUOTE ]
I didn't get a costume drop and my inspiration tray was full, so I don't know if it was a duplicate (although I would assume so).
[/ QUOTE ]The duplicate theory is correct. If you look at Paragonwiki, there are only 33 costumes available, however Ostentaious badge is awarded for 50 costumes. So it goes without saying that you could get the badge before you have all 33 costumes. -
[ QUOTE ]
After about 2 years of irregular playing I've finally gotten my Earth/FF troller Brown Xenon (previously Brown Kryptonite but I got genericed) to Level 50. Was a great team of global pals and assorted freaks that joined me for AV grind.
[/ QUOTE ]Gutted! when you said you were AV hunting last night, didn't realise you were going for lvl 50 no. 7.
Had I have realised I would have stopped ToTing and been there for the ding.... Congrats Mate!! -
[ QUOTE ]
Do you think WoW is any better because they raised the level cap? Well, I don't believe that. In fact, if they ever did raise the level cap, I would probably leave.
[/ QUOTE ]Agree with this statement 100%.
Raising the level cap would be the end for this game as :-
1) New players would have no hope of getting a lvl 60/70 before they give up.
2) People with lots of 50's won't want to repeat the new material over 10 times, in a very close period.
3) You'll need tons of influence to pay for new IO/SO/HOs
4) I could go on:- -
OSTENTATIOUS badge is for getting all 30 temporary costumes.
Get a badge for 10, 20 and 30. -
Took Eochai down in atlas yesterday, only for him to immediately respawn in the same spot, didn't see that happen at all last year.
Only ToT'd on 2 low level alts... but does seem to be a lot of sorceresses and warewolves so far. Only seen 1 vampire and 0 spirits in 2 hours of ToT. Do you get larger inspirations at higher levels? as only got small insps yesterday. Last year got tons of large inspirations aswell as halloween salvage.
It also seems to me that the door timer has changed. Last year would stay at a 2 door building and alternate every 30 seconds. This year you can hit 4 doors in a minute (if all treats) but then have to wait 2-3 mins to repeat cycle.... has this changed???
Also did the zombie invasion on Union. Was disappointed to realise that you can get all 4 badges in 1 zone if you have a group of 16+ people... EB badge first (as only need 1 to count)... Bosses seems like the hardest to get in smaller groups. -
Congo rats!
10 50's, puts my 3 to shame, badly! -
Only been experiencing problems red side, especially rubber banding and power activation as others have said before. Heroes is generally ok. But I've had these types of issues with villains since launch.

[ QUOTE ][*]A corruptor? That's a definite possibility. They can't solo very well, though, can they?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have pretty much solo'd most of the time on my assault rifle/rad from day 1. ***/rad definitely easy soloing, but more fun in teams. Struggled a bit with my dark/kin early doors, but soloing gets a lot easier as you get more powers. And as a final note, corrs always get invites to strike forces....
[ QUOTE ][*]A stalker? Assassinating seems to be interesting, but is it enough for 50 levels of playing hide-and-seek?
[/ QUOTE ]
Played 3 different stalkers... 2 of which I gave up with before lvl 17. Found this AT the hardest to solo, as wasn't enjoying it much...until I got placate... love my claws/SR now for that reason... and is slowly heading to 30.
[ QUOTE ][*]A mastermind? Tempting, especially since this archetype is completely different from anything Heroside has to offer. But aren't they very difficult to play later on? Controlling so many pets, with so many settings, and probably requiring more keybinds than I've got keys on my keyboard?
[/ QUOTE ]
One of the most boring ATs ever developed. Only really worth playing and sticking with if you do long missions (big teams) or go PvP, as constantly setting up pets has got to be the most annoying thing ever. However, if you do get past that, then they are very easy to solo, and create tons of chaos in teams. Personally Necro/Poison is fun, tons of damage and heals to boot. Also love my Thugs/FF, if only for mob war, if not anything else.
[ QUOTE ][*]A dominator? One of the last villains I tried was one, but all the time I couldn't decide between control powers or damage powers. What do people actually do with dominators?
[/ QUOTE ]
Dominators are great fun and can easily be the best AT in any team, especially when domination is going. Locking down mobs, making them attack themselves, mass sleep and so on... Not the easiest to solo at lower levels but great in teams. I personally like both my Plant/Thorns and Grav/Psi
[ QUOTE ][*]A brute? But isn't that just a mixture of a situational scrapper and a suboptimal tanker? (Well, I need more training in proper tanking, anyway...)
[/ QUOTE ]
The best and only AT to go for solo, better than MM's by a country mile. Once you get your fury going, you're pretty much unstoppable. My only lvl 50 villain so far is an SS/NRG Brute, that will only get better with the i13 changes to NRG. I also have a DB/Invul... but finding it hard to love at the moment as have enduration problems.
Whatever you choose bear in mind that lvls 1-20 are more of a learning curve than anything else. Once you hit 20 you'll have a better understanding of the AT and it's strengths and weaknesses. You'll also have a better chance to control end etc... with DOs and SOs rather than TOs.
The best advise is to try all 5 and see what suits you and your play style. If possible do this via the test server, as you'll get a better understanding of all the powers that way!!! -
The link definitely works as I can confirm all my characters are now in the slots that I want them in.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Wow - a 9 minute response time. Much impressed and thank you!
[/ QUOTE ]And to add to the other posts... you cannot use standard keys to change into your 5th costume. You need to either type /cc 4 or set up a bind or macro.
Costume slot 1 = /cc 0
Costume slot 2 = /cc 1
Costume slot 3 = /cc 2
Costume slot 4 = /cc 3
Costume slot 5 = /cc 4 -
[ QUOTE ]
Not weird, just bugged.
For me, I can order my characters on one server just fine, but if I go to the other, they get jumbled up again.
[/ QUOTE ]Me too... annoying.
Will follow the link in the previous post and hopefully it will sort out my character order selection too. -
Completely off topic.... but I love your signature Dr.T
Back to OP. I was hoping to be able to get rid of my travel powers and have "universal"... but doesn't look like it will do, what I thought it would.... if that makes any sense at all!!! -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm of the opinion the green glow attracts the other heroes, like moths to a flame.
[/ QUOTE ] That'd the preverbial nail on the head.... nothing goes down quicker than an anchored target...
Used to get het up about people killing my anchors, so gave up on my initial */rad. Now after a year of therapy and breathing exercises I can handle people killing my anchor, so I'm enjoying */rads again. -
[ QUOTE ]
I always make sure I actually have the time for at least a full mish before teaming. If I DO have to go AFK while in a mish with a team (friends of not) I will explain why I go AFK and it usually would be a bathroom break, the phone (which is rarely) or that someone is at the door (also rarely). So it's hardly ever more then a couple of minutes.
And if it's a serious reason which will take more time I will politely excuse myself and remove myself from the team.
[/ QUOTE ]Likewise. Don't see the point of joining a team, unless I have time to do at least 1 mission. Going AFK is ok, if you're polite enough to say why... "BRB - Bio" is perfectly fine, unless the person has a weak bladder!
As has been said previously, if you are away for more than 5 minutes, then waiting outside or quitting team is the right option. Standing in a mission and leaching won't be tolerated, If people want that, they should find a Plvler and leach off them instead! -
[ QUOTE ]
My bf has an issue with this, despite going through the entire run of missions twice he has a piece of the salvage missing and therefore can not craft the cure.
All the badges have been granted and he can access the midnighter club etc, however his salvage is now cluttered up with the unused bits. He has bug reported it weeks ago and to date has no reply, I assume as it is not stopping further advancement it is not considered a priority.
[/ QUOTE ]If you were not the person in charge of the mission, and you auto completed then you won't get the salvage. Did this on my empath... but auto completed missions, as duo'd with a higher player. The only way to get rid of it is to have a GM remove it ingame. You won't be able to craft the wand yourself if missing any pieces, and you cannot access any previous missions (even via ouroboros). -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah thats the Hydra from the Sewer Trial.
[/ QUOTE ]100% Hydra.
In the pit he lives in, which is full of foul sewer water, he is supported by 4 generators. To defeat him with particle guns, you have to have first destroyed the generators. -
Probably haven't got my main villain on there:-
Phlox - SS/NRG/Mace Brute -
[ QUOTE ]
Well I exercise my right to complain and argue against the people that seem to say nothing is wrong
[/ QUOTE ]Nothing is wrong, I'm Happy for one!
