  1. While prancing about Virtue's Atlas Park on my Scrapper, I noticed this bizarre sight.

    A Ghoul.

Now, at first I assumed this was just a cool costume. Then I looked at the Enemy Group Page.

...The guy had on actual Ghoul Costume Pieces.

Not only that, but that pose? Not an emote. He was using a unique run animation.

I... was admittedly very confused. I don't know how he managed to do it. And I'm sure it'll be removed like the Syndicate leaks were.

But it is admittedly quite interesting...

EDIT: Ah. It's a costume code. Never mind.
  2. Longbow/Arachnos NPC fighting Council Vampyri:

Longbow/Arachnos: Die Monster! You don't belong in this world!
    -----

    And on a similar note:

Any Council Vampyri boss: What is a (Insert appropriate noun)? A Miserable little pile of secrets! But enough talk, have at you!

    /em throwwineglass.

    ---

    During Dr. Kahn's Task Force:

Mook: I've heard that Dr. Kahn is on to us, and that he's got $heroname on his side!
Mook2: Pffft. Like $heroname could stand up to us.

    *upon entering combat*

    Mook: Look! It's $taskforcename!
    Mook2: KAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHN!
  3. Hmmm...

    Well...

You could do some interesting things with them. Convert them into teleport beacons, for instance. (That way, you can call a friend from another zone to the terminal.)

Or, perhaps, you could use them as a way to check certain character information. (How much Infamy/Influence and Prestige you have, how close your are to an alignment change, etc.)

    I dunno.

I think we can all agree that the NPCs get some awesome items that we would all like a chance to get out hands on. It's why we all cling to them when they leak.

I for one, would love access to these. Or at least reasonable facsimiles.

    Angels vs Demons

Here's the logic behind Angel and Demon summoning.

Angels are typically servants of A Higher Power™, above all else. In fiction, when an angel aids a mortal, it's at the behest of said Higher Power™. You get a blessing, or a clue, or a cool sword, or something. You don't command Angels. On the "Divine Hierarchy", they outrank you.

Demons tend to associate with Mortals more, because Mortals can give them what they desire. Wanton destruction, souls, and a chance to take a break from Hell.

Angels don't have any reason to leave "Insert Location Here" unless they're fighting the legions of Hell. Even then, they're still utterly loyal to A Higher Power™. They would take you on as an ally, not a master. At most, you could justify it as an army of Guardian Angels.

Which, for an Archetype that starts off Neutral at best, is unlikely.
  6. Yes please! I'd like my reptilian character to be able to wear more clothing that isn't a jacket/painted on.
  7. ...Yeah.

...Totally not fair to everyone who already bought the game.

I can live without the booty pad, but I'd /really/ appreciate it if those 5 enhancements were in the $7 Item Pack. Shop Exclusive in game Pre-Order bonuses blow.

    Meh... IOs are better anyway...
  8. 5 Power Enhancements?

    I'm guessing they're just IOs?

...That doesn't really beat early powerset access...

Oh, I'm sure Going Rogue (GoRo?) is amazing in terms of building design.

However, you can't forget the fundamentals. A starter zone needs to be stunning. You want new players to log in and go "Whoa..."

    Not "Meh..."

    You know?
  10. I'd like a mall as well, actually.

Galaxy seems like the perfect place for one. I'd make it kind of like a "Shopping district". Like So:
    • Stores for Every Origin, catering to every level. (It's a QoL thing.)
    • A few Pharmacies and Restaurants that sell Insps (I realize Galaxy has the Arena, and the AE... but Insp Vendors are nice!)
    • RP Zones, like coffee shops and the food court.
    • Missions that take place inside the mall.
    • A Pocket D Entrance, for the lowbies.
    • A Tailor (Lowbies can use the RWZ Portal, but Galaxy doesn't have one currently.)
    • A Wentworths.
    • Merit Vendors
    • And if you could incorporate the zones AE into it, that would make it all the cooler.

I mean, how does Paragon City not have a mall? I realize malls are mostly a suburban thing, but I think a centralized commerce hub would really liven up Galaxy City. You could put one in Port Oakes too. Just make it kind of dilapidated and dead.
  11. I'd love MASSIVE buildings for major, plot important places.

Things that you just go up to and say "Whoa..."

Like the tower in Nova Praetoria.
  12. Safeguard Buffs are buffs. Just really long term ones.

Mystic Fortune Buffs are temporary powers.

And they removed that option because there was an exploit with Walk. You could stack multiple fortunes at once.
  13. I agree. Paragon does look a bit more like a model of a city than an actual city.

If it were possible to tear down Paragon City and renovate it into something better, I would totally support all of these suggestions.

I'd like the zones to look different from one another, you know? Make Atlas and Galaxy look a bit more residential. Copy some designs from Praetoria to Peregrine Isle. Things like that.

3: Buy the Mac pack which comes with special feathered and feathered armored wings, as well as a mission teleport power, a ulls et of armro and weapons, a cape, and something else that I'm forgetting.
    A month of gameplay.

    That's it, really.

    Wings!

They're a Back Detail, like wings.

However, they aren't a default option. Most of them are recipes you can buy from the market.

Angel and Demon wings are a Vet Reward, which you get from having an active account for 15 months.

The Mac Special Edition comes with wings as well

  16. This is more War Witch's thing, but I love the details.

I'm talking things like the Tiki Bar in St. Martial. The Crypt in Astoria. The docks in Perez Park. The Monkey Bar in Sharkhead. The Council Base in the RWZ. The Giza in general.

As a Virtueite, I find myself frequenting certain places. Like our base. Or the D.

I'd love to see more detail in the world that's just there for flavor. RP Spots, if you will. The Pool in Faultline is a good one. The Shops work well too.

How about coffee shops and bars that cell inspirations? Some Blueside Abandoned Labs? A Movie Theater that is also a Television style contact?

Buildings that you can go into.

I'm hoping Praetoria has some places like that, assuming my existing toons can access it.
  17. ...Oh! Black Pebble could be a Ninja! That would be cool too...

...I would like a City Vault, actually. And a mobile app, so I can show off all my toons remotely.
  18. Only if we get the gauntlet as an option for shields too.
  19. Man, I'd be fine with fake rain. I'd be fine with just weather /sound effects/.

A rainy day on Mercy would be epic, I think.
  20. Well, obviously I'm not expecting the Hellions or the Skulls to come back at level 50, but a story expansion would be great.

Plus some fresh models. I was doing a Skull Mayhem Mission, and the old Skull Models are looking... old.

As the Hellions, Skulls, and Vahzilok are among the first Enemy Groups you face, some fresh models would be lovely.

Toss in a few more variant enemies, maybe mix in some female ones.

Make some trolls that actually look Trollish. (How about a Troll GM in Skyway or the Hollows?)

Obviously, all of this would have to wait until after GR... but it would be cool!
  21. I think this comic sums up the furry issue quite nicely:

    http://xkcd.com/471/

Yes, the fetish aspect of the furry fandom is weird as hell. Yes, there are non sexual aspects of the furry fandom. Yes, furries will use animal costume parts. And no, having animal features on your character does not automatically make you a furry.

It's a Costume Booster. We don't even know what's in it yet. Even if it is animal themed, is it honestly that big a deal?
  22. *snags the first post after a red name*

    The Non Existant Booster?

    Oooooh... I want a Non-Existent Cape!

...And seriously. BP. Stone Tanker/Brute. Perfect for an ingame avatar.

And now that this post has been snagged: Content.

I know that there are numerous logistical issues involved with this, but you know Free Comic Day? It's self explanatory, really. All the major comic publishers (and some of the less major) give out a free issue to get people interested in their comic books.

I think a similar strategy would work well with CoH. Perhaps a Reprint of one of the classic CoH comics. Or even a brand new one, if you'd like. Comic Book Fans are part of our target audience, after all. Plus, it would be a great way to get people interested in the CoH World.
