  1. My close to HP capped Rad/Therm Corruptor. The only EB I ever had trouble against was Ice Mistral because of the slows, but that was pre-IOs.

Has a self-heal, awesome debuffs, procced up N-Bolt, nice damage, Hibernate for reset button, lots of fun.

I'm partial to my namesake, a Mind/FF Controller as well. She'll never farm maps in under two minutes but she makes teams safer and has enough tools in her primary that mobs just don't attack.

Honorable mention to my Thugs/Poison Mastermind, Storm/Sonic Defender and Illusion/Rad Controller, all retired because they got boring.
  2. Shhh if you show the Devs love they become...human!

Yeah, my play time of late has been day jobbing (ingame and out) but even when occasionally burned out there is still fun stuff to do.

    Thanks!
  3. Gratz O Smelly One!

Now drink deep of market tears while you hoist your rich petard in Dark Astoria!

    Huzzah!
  4. How lovely that the Kontent Kops (tm Nethergoat) have taken their crusade to our lovely costumes as well!

I tie my colours to the costumes I make. My namesake's main costume has a golden and silvery costume, the forcefields are thus golden as well.

At the Hami raid last night, we had an abudance of colours...some were goofy, some were neat, some were just silly.

I am not going to begrduge Cobalt Azurean finally having his energy blasts be blue.
I am not going to begrudge my Fire/Kin friends having their imps be lime or pink as per their wishes.

Am I going to be careful about it myself? Sure.
But if painting their own heroes/villains with a wide palette makes the game FUN for them, go to it.

Every. Time. Those exact numbers replicated every time.

    .
Your average group will have a Death or Storm Shaman surrounded by two or three husks. Occasionally a Spirit will float around and a Totem will be lurking in a group.

The groups are tightly packed except in the 'crevice' and it doen't take much time to defeat them, for themost part.
I easily get more than 8 bossess though...I count 6-10 Spirits and 1-3 Totems per run. They do 'con' as LTs for my purposes though.

    This seems possible.

Just ran Unai's zombie mission -1 set for 8.
    1 Invention (Range) - 50
    1 Psionic Threat Report
    1 Nevermelting Ice
    2 Ruby
    1 Bleeding Stone
    1 Shield of Joule
    1 Stride of Grey

Counted through the tab and had upwards of 300 rewarding mobs in there.
I've also joined various farm teams for PL purposes and my lowbie almost always has to delete a recipe every 2-3 minutes of play.
It does seem as if the virtual teammates are being awarded drops.

    COH Mythbusters

Myth: Defeating 100 Bane Spiders in Grandville will spawn the Arachnos Flier.
Fact: The Flier works on its own schedule, thanks.

Myth: Detention Field does not work on AVs.
    Fact: Yes, it sure does.

Myth: You can land on the Atlas Park blimp:
    Truth: "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaah!" *KER-SPLAT*

Myth: You need multiple teams to spawn Caleb in Nerva Archipelago.
Truth: I've seen it spawned by a single team of 8 players.

    Myth: His name is Quarterfield.
Truth: It's Quaterfield, and that will cost you an extra defeat all.

Myth: In the hero respecs, you MUST defeat all the mobs in the hallway next to the Reactor Core.
Truth: While this can be useful, especially with teleporting Rikti and Sky Raiders, you can just skip this step.

Myth: The Devs are filthy sadists.
Truth: Regen is overperforming, IH now has an unenhanceable 6 minute recharge. (I kid, I kid!)
  8. Damn, am I glad I got those procs on the cheap a while back.

    Good dealing, congrats to you!
  9. -1 level x7 spawn size
    Unai Kemen Zombie map.

    Salvage

They are spawning at 47. I miswrote. My mission is Level 48, -1 level to 47 and getting level 50 Recipe drops. I'm too lazy to log into game again but my setup was netting me level 47 mobs and lots of them.

Not a lot of recipes though, but perhaps this is WAI.

  11. I love the power customization...so nice to colour my bubbles!

In love with the mission setting. My Spine/SR had been hanging on to a lvel 47 Banished Pantheon mission, not really touching it except for badge purposes.

Now though? Set for 7, no bosses, -1 level.
MOWING ZOMBIES LIKE NO TOMORROW!!!! Making tens of millions per run, resetting, MOWING ZOMBIES AS IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!

    Full. Of. Win.

Oh, knocked off Master ITF with a capable team last night on Champion.

The mission settings are crazy nice.
    Think I rolled a Mind/Cold and a Sonic/Trick Arrow too.

    Awesome issue, content soon please.

The i13+ was hoping for changes and to encourage more players to PVP cause they were complaining that they would get owned coming to zone. Well Dev's those new players are still getting owned and the pvp is like pvping in water. An Single Origin Whatever would still have trouble laying a finger on a Shield Tanker... even my Purple and IOed toon has trouble hitting a tanker without build up. The heal decay is so lame and it slow me down activating my heal. Black Market and W.W prices are outrages...and now nerfing A.E. damn! I guess were going be force to go buy from ****** if we want show some love on a toon. F your changing colors on power who cares..pink emps? That should been done around issue 3 or somewhere on the lower issue. So DEV'S how about leaving PVP alone back to i12 status or not make a zone where i12 rules so simple.
If you want purple prices to go down then you want them to be valueless. In order to make purples valueless, ask the Devs for an NPC run store with set prices for Purples. All purples for sale at 30-40 mil, infinite supply.

The problem isn't their perceived level of scarcity, it's that there is only one way (defeating mobs) of obtaining them. If you could nab them off STF/LRSF completions etc...

OR...you can wait a while and see if the new mission settings cause an influx of purples into the Market.

    That might be more realistic.

    Maybe.

Roll a new toon? Fire Control/Earth Assault Dominator? Willpower/Electric Melee Tanker?
Try the new exemplar features to help a friend, while feeling the power of +5 level powers?
Find Kahlan to snag that Master of the Imperious Task Force badge?

As for me, I really don't know.

I have this concept itch for a Hero, but the majority of my friends are Villain-centric.

    So, what about you?
Colour Neuro's powers on all slots.
Farm on my Spine/SR zombie map.
    Roll a Sonic/Trick Arrow Corr
    Roll a Mind/Cold Controller
    Roll a Fire/Cold Controller

    Get Master ITF/Khan.
  14. I was running a HERO System game for some friends and my main hero was Synapse (they were villains) but that was taken.

After setting the gray matter in motion...Synapse, Neuron, Neuron-ia! Aha! There it is and it's incredible I still play her, given the difficulty I had early on (slotted one of each suggested enhancement type, thought Confuse was terrrible...) but Force Bolting grey cons kept me going until Containment hit the live servers.
  15. Ooooh that's terrible!

Get some rest guys and take care!

  16. Mind/Cold for duelling.
    Illusion/Cold or Fire/Cold for teaming.
    Sonic Blast/Trick Arrow Corruptor
    Thugs/Therm or something/Therm MM

I'll be 'making' many zombie mission runs on my Spine/SR Scrapper.

Many colours to change...my bubbler first then who knows.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah so long till servers come up!
  17. Sigh.

Because I'm bored and I have an inordinate amount of patience with most people, I'm going to be nice and try to explain why your logic and Fight Club logic is faulty.

ahh here we go. I'm not sure about the duelers on freedom but i don't yell at someone for kiting. Movement is allowed.

Basic rules have been: No inspirations, No Leaving the stage or dueling area, no temp powers, no help from outside. Anything else goes. Help from outside would also include things like consuming a watching person. haha that sounded awesome, but i mean [consume] from fiery aura.
    These rules are inane.
What is one of the first things in which the game instructs you?
    Inspiration usage.

Would you not use a Break Free against a Chief Mesmerist?
What if you're fighting one of those Carnival of Shadows that drain end? No Catch a Breath?

Of course you use them, because you'd lose and not gain experience or rewards.
Making rules to inhibit victory isn't brave or smart or daring, it's naive.
You're in a fight, use whatever training and resources and smarts you have to win that fight.

Even if you get Jane Doe to agree to your rules, you cannot expect to enforce your behaviour on various other people in the zone. Do you understand that? There is an area where you can duel without inspirations or temporary powers. It's the Arena. Head there and bash each other to your heart's content!

I know I am damned glad that Sabin and others picked my Emp/Psy out of Siren's Call and hauled her *** to the Arena for spike/evasion drills, insp management drills and power usage drills. If they hadn't, I'd still be walking around wondering why I was being attacked in plain view.

    Quote:
But in a duel i wouldn't know anything except to hit aim/Build up and my attacks. Now i'm no expection, this would be the same for a lot of people. it's like saying any good chess player is a good checker player and that's not so. Chess and checkers have different tactics. Chess being a fair fight and checkers being....well not fair.
This is absurd, not only in your mangling metaphors but also in your analogy. Chess may seem 'fair' to you but you'll get schooled by someone who has been playing for years and has insight into movement patterns.

    Quote:
Some of my duels are very close. There is no way you could predict who the winner is. You could get some more information by looking at badges (not vets, those lie) and see who has accolade clicks or a large number because it's their main. Also, I and many other duelers are not always in it to win. I'm in it to learn and get better.

As for top duelers not getting many kills, that depends a lot. I don't use temps/inspirations ever. But that doesn't mean a dueler won't. Actually i will use inspirations if my enemy does. And maybe summon a LB mech if they summon a shivan to distract eachother.
    What I simply don't understand:

If all these people are duelling and all these people enjoy duelling, why did none of them head to the Training Room, IO out and duel against the players that also enjoyed duelling? Honestly, what do you feel you are proving by button-mashing one Regen against another for hours on end? You may as well flip coins, the outcome will be as predictable.

    My advice to you:

If you set foot in a zone, be prepared for anything. Carry an inspiration load and accolade/IO as much as is possible given your time allowance.

Learn to team and ask questions.

I'll likely never be remembered as anything more than a 'good' Emp but I'll be damned if I didn't help any team I was on survive more than not. That didn't come to me by just mindlessly mashing buttons. I trained, I teamed and now I (hope) am a valuable addition to a zone or arena team.

Do not limit yourself by placing unnecessary constraints on your PvP playstyle.

Rules are for the Arena. The zones are for raw, unbridled and relentless attack.

I've had no luck finding or starting any team past level 20 up through level 40, usually 4-8 players per zone outside of atlas, most of them level 50's running past TF's or badging.

And that's on Freedom. Oh wait. That's on Freedom. Is it different over on Virtue? Is it worth paying to move my character?
What time were you searching? I mostly log on to PvP on Freedom but on the odd time I've logged my Rad/Ice FFoF I've gotten invites right away. Heck, he's 45 right now and I got an invite a Battle Maiden farm.

While logins are down for school, I16, competition et al., teams are still available. Use your server global channels and supergroup coalitions, etc?

As for AE farms dying, not even close. I haven't used Boss farms in months either; far too inefficient. Plenty of workarounds to the 'Need Minion/LT/Boss in custom groups" too. =)

Might try it with my FM/SD, but if I remember it correctly, you need some kind of +perception to be able to see those things. So my guess is he probably woth last the second ambush.
It should probably be noted you'll want to run this on Tenacious at least for the full challenge.

I took my casual gamer friend into it so he could stress test his MA/SR with IOs...we did both wipe on one of the waves, but this was mostly due to him Scrapperlocking on the Challenge Master and all the following ambushes.

After I explained the procedure to him, he got the first ambush well, the second gave him progressively more difficulty and so did the third. He did complete it though; to be fair, it should be noted he used Break Frees, Respites as well. Additionally, we cleared the entire map of the Sonic Engineers just to give ourselves an easier time.

He did have a ton of fun though; he stated repeatedly this mission was far more fun than regular content and that he wished more stuff like this would come out.

Tomorrow we'll hit RWZ and try the challenge. I've gotten ganked pretty good tonight on my Kat/Regen on it (Mesmerists drop Integration, bad stuff happens) though I did survive longer than I had thought while using two 54 Chief Soldier and one 54 Chief Mesmerist.

My play partner has a Mind/Psi permadom at level 25, but he's crazy. He used purples along with other oddball sets, surprisingly no LOTG 7.5 as his is a 'theme' toon so he took Hover/Fly etc.

Now he's bored and is IOing his Elec/Shield Brute heh.

But what's been said is accurate. I have 70%+ recharge on both builds of my Mind/Fire (the PvP side has close to 85-90%) and it still works fine.
  21. Sure, I'd roll with this.

I'd much rather have an alternative to the Market beyond Merits and tickets though...

How about a store that sold every IO (sure, even Purples) in the game?

Set the prices off a longitudinal study of the Market, or even set them lower than the Market.
Don't want to spend 100,000,000 for a LOTG? Step over to Joe's IO Emporium and buy them for 60,000,000.

    This would accomplsh two things:

1)Pull more inf out of the system
    2)Create competition for players.

It would likely be a disastrous idea though, with many unitended consequences, so it's never going to happen. Would be nice though.

That's up to the individiual, but expecting a con orange target to not be attacked because of individual rules is folly.

If you MUST duel then hit Warburg or Siren's, find some really tall building and go at it...better yet, Arena. You're going to get attacked when you duel. My advice is, be prepared for that and fight back. That might get you some breathing room.

Sadly, Jupiterian law forbids me from embracing your quasi-medieval exercise.

    A pox on you.

  24. Capes.

While they are iconic to the genre, they do not fit the concept of every character nor do they improve every character's appearance.
Does your average street scrapper need a cape? Does that cape need to be the long, flowing one?

While I'm usually the last to say no to a new costume piece, I've shied away from capes recently, just too much for some alts.
  25. Hello!
    I'd like feedback on:

    168760: A Death in the Gish (levels 1-14). @Neuronia

I'll play and feedback you over the weekend.
