I would like to trade it for something I can use--I'm currently trying to collect all the Overwhelming Force enhancements--but I don't really have any experience with Wentworth's or any other method of trading.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
Were you on Infinity at all?
Someone in Help channel there was looking to trade their unusables and I got them a Scrapper chance for +Crit and some inf.

Hope you got to trade your stuff.

Really weird, because I'm fairly hardcore in that all my builds are useful, accoladed, twinked and 50 in no time yet I never have trouble finding teams or forming them. Must be the water in the Rogue Isles I guess. :-)

To the OP, it's just a casual game...there's nothing to compete for or stress over. Even the hard badges can be had while having a drink and AFK for half the missions.

Seriously. Making money is NOT HARD.
It's not hard but it's tedious.
Seeing I need 4-6 billion per character build, that's a bit of marketing taking away from my accolade grinding and levelling. I market anyway because credit card account fraud, not to mention supporting RMT, are far worse options.

    Yeah, Cold is AMAZING.
    Benumb? Sleet? Heat Loss?
It's about the only buff/debuff set I ever roll outside Poison.
  5. Good decision.

Having opened a small business myself, I well know the challenges that can present. Wish you luck and glad you enjoyed the game.

How so? My Fire/NRG has 118% global recharge.
Energy has Crushing Impacts (2x5 = 10%), Decimations (3x6.25 - 18.75), Sting of the Manticore (7.5%) in the snipe...close to 40% (give or take 5-6%) just from my secondary, and that's not counting purple sets in the primary...I'd question any Dom build being unable to slot 3-4 LOTGs (30% recharge), two or three purple sets (30% recharge) and another 30-50% scattered from regular sets and the Dom set at 8.75%.

Yes, IOs make a HUGE difference to ANY AT. For example, if any player wants to nerf ss/fire Brutes, all right, very easy, strip them from the IOs. Play an ss/fire Brute with no IOs, then come back and tell me you still feel they should be nerfed. Strip ANY brute of all IOs, and then come back and talk about how different it is. The reason Brutes and MMs were the most popular BY FAR ATs to play when CoV came out?? Yep, they sucked the least to solo with or play in general in solo mode as well as team. MMs were the easiest to solo play.

Stop asking for any nerfs to Dominators. A huge chunk of the reason Dominators can perform really well is because of IOs and incarnates. Before IOs, Dominators had to be buffed, like the Devs did, so their decent damage was done even outside of domination.

I still think Dominators are among the least played ATs in the game. If they ever grew to a much larger pool of players, it was, in a significant proportion, thanks to IOs.
Dominators don't need a nerf. They aren't overperforming. Psy Shockwave WAS overperforming with its crazy radius and super quick recharge and it got looked at. I'm levelling yet another Dom (Grav/Dark) on Infinity and it is slow slogging, but more from endurance issues than actual damage capacity or anything. Domination rarely ever matters in fights, to be honest, since the mobs are so fragile. I'm really not sure what you can give to Doms to make them more palatable.

Hybrid ATs not for everyone I guess.
  7. You forgot issue 9 and IOs with their +Recharge boons, which made PermaDomination an exquisite addition to the archetype. In fact, they had to strip the +Damage stacking bonus because of that.

Also skipped Psychc Shockwave getting its legs cut off at the knees, unfortunately for my Plant/Psi.

Dominators are pretty damned awesome. All the controls of a Controller plus a heck of damage from the secondary to boot. Should they get Illusion Control at some point? Hopefully they do, but they may examine the pets for high recharge builds (making PA un-permable would anger Controllers though) and so on.

Have a ton of Doms in my stable (all perma) along with my friend's Doms, we duo TFs, rule the world, are never lacking for teams. Life is good.

I expect this to be tweaked once the devs realize how overpowered it becomes with the KB->KD proc. I actually have the feeling they kind of overlooked this application.
Didn't they make a fix to Bonfire at some point because of an exploit application? I'm sure they'll fix it at some point, maybe around the time the set goes live to Auction House.
  9. Fun: Dominators, especially getting them IOd out.
    Fun: Accolades on redside.
    Fun: Solo play.

  11. To be fair you can spam Sonic Siphon for a little -RES, but yeah it's basically a team-based set. People love having sonics around though.

Hmmm...not sure about WORST but there are obsolete ones.
Force Field has taken a backseat to Cold Domination, Trick Arrow is fun but you can get a lot more out of Radiation Emission, Thermal Radiation or even Cold Domination. Ice Control? It's okay...but the slows just don't come up enough for it to matter on a consistent basis.

I'm curious why you think this is so.
If they put it at a price point equal to the amount of Paragon Points it would take to get them normally (400-600) then isn't this a win-win?

Put another way...and not sure if this is an equal comparison, in that Magic card game people compare the packs to, there are cards that are worth $300-$500 (the Black Lotus and Moxes) but most people that still play with those would be more than glad to see them reprinted just because they are SO rare that anyone wanting to play with them faces a huge barrier to entry.

Now, these items (Elemental Order) are not game-useful in the way purples are and those are in the store. I have the full Elemental Order on both accounts and really, if they wanted to make it available I wouldn't bat an eyelash since it puts more cash in the coffers and more people are happy about it...and this is from someone that has nearly ALL the costume temps as well from the cons.
  13. Is this going weekly? If so I'll move something to Infinity.

I clicked the completed button hoping for a badge, I should have knew that would not work.... oh well :P
    Soloed it with a Mind/Bubbles, Grav/TA, Nin/Nin Stalker, Mind/Cold, Kat/Regen Scrapper and WP/EM Tanker.

    Just takes a little patience.
  15. I moved an Emp to help Sentry4 with his PvP efforts and I have a TA/PSy I am incarnating but oddly enough I have found it quite difficult to find Open and non ERP RP over there...so I hardly ever log in to Virtue.
  16. If you look long enough on the forums you can find some nice guides for them...I went with the Master Crab build, all the pets plus the Patron pet plus the Arachnos Toxic Tarantula pet from Lore...stuff dies fast, stuff dies REALLY fast.

These VEATs are so flexible and powerful...
  17. I very much enjoyed the event and the mixture of RP and action, and this is coming from someone that generally at most skims any text. That said, having to farm the event for procs is beyond tedious.

Give us an alternate means to get these or let us get "Popcorn Kernels" we can exchange for the procs please.
  18. Funny thing.

Here are the things I've spent real money on in CoH:

Harlequin costume temp, wanted it badly.
Tons of costume bundles, but I did that when they were sold for 9.99 in the day.
A costume slot for my main account, since five isn't enough.
A server transfer or two to move pvp toons.

Oddly enough, I have *not* bought a single Purple set. Not a one.
And I have been begging for purples or PvP IOs to be sold on the market for the longest time...and then I figured out why I haven't used the Paragon Market to get these items.

Simply, the money isn't an issue but the non-resale factor of the items is very much an issue. In the end, I'd rather just have 40 billion infamy by spending Paragon Points than I would a set of Apocalypse, since that will go a lot further for me...but unfortunately if they do this prices will likely inflate to crazy levels.

There is one ingame item I would drop ingame money for in a second and that is the Hit Point accolades, Demonic, Megalomaniac and Force of Nature, account-wide, cos I am soooooooooooooo tired of grinding those on keeper alts. But that would probably be untenable for the Devs and quite frankly, it would just about lower my logins to zero as all I do now is accolade and incarnate then roll new alt. Heh.

The chase is gone and while the stories are no more sillier than they were when I was 18, I find that I mostly just don't care anymore. Maybe I'm just getting old.
That's funny because I still pay a king's ransom for Strangers in Paradise blueline books (signed by Terry Moore) and I've made specific trips to see him in person so I can get sketches, autographs on my issues and even hang out with him. I could go on Ebay and get sketches and autoed items but I'd just rather do it myself and have the satisfaction of knowing I have unique items...like say these French perfect-bound SiPs that came my way because a friend helped him with some translation and I get to keepsake them for a bit while he moves around. Kinda like having the keys to Fort Knox but having to return it in a few weeks, heh.

You are probably never going to get the black wolf.
You should get all the costume pieces within 15-20 packs. At least, that has been my experience on both accounts, getting all of them except the beam rifle piece within 10-12 packs.

    That depends.

If they put the Elemental Order and the Space Pirate sets in the Paragon Market for 400 points in 6-8 months, I'd be fine with that.

If they don't put them on the Paragon Market, ever, but make them virtually guaranteed for me to get them in the first handful of packs, I'd be fine with that.

I just want a means to obtain them through rote means, whether that is grinding a bajillion tfs, spending a boatload of Reward Merits or just being patient and getting them as a veteran perk, there should at some point be an alternate way of getting the Elemental and Pirate sets for those that detest the gambling aspect of these items.
  21. Vill zone I'd like remade: Port Oakes (spend far too little time there really outside of getting two Mayhems) or St. Martial (Could have tons more potential...) Heroside Kings Row or Skyway...

Makes me sad that these are not actually listed in game. I don't see how they expect players to find these things except just looking online.
Once you get one of the badges the Accolade marker will show up with the other badges needed.

Gratz on PJ, prefer doing all this stuff redside mysef as they are easier to solo, nice bufffs though.
  23. Escorts are still horrid, and made even worse when you are on a Stalker and every few steps they say:

"$name, where are you?" "$name, I need help!"

Don't even mention nuke escorts in Warburg, where a set of stairs is too much to figure out for your average atomic scientist. And they're slow as paste too.

I'd love for them to spend a little quality time with this AI, give them max perception and a little more awareness...
  24. Going to enjoy having Blaze and Power Burst at increased range and the new snipes, but overall my Blasters perform quite well (Fire/Mental and Dark Blast/Energy Manipulation)...so these changes will simply make my Dominators and Corruptors even more OP.
  25. Are 40 foot range powers gone the way of the dodo?
Will newer sets only feature 80 foot range powers?

Was Boost Range considered for elimination from EM and do the Devs view it as problematic?
