All depends on what role im in.

On raids I tend to zoom as far out as possible for tactical awareness.

On indoor missions, as the blaster I tend to keep the zoom alot tighter (but still 3rd person) to minimize clipping/spaz camera as I move around in the middle of a battle setting up cone damage.
Where as when I tank, I keep the camera back farther, even inside for TA again. I dont move as much as a tanker (compared to blasting) so there is less camera shenanigans.

I tend to refer to the "new" kids as "pre-school" because they have a lot to learn once they ween themselves from AE.

It wasnt the prettiest raid, but we did it. Slightly under 2 hours from Monster Kills to Hami down.

Same things as before plagued us. Rounds 2 and 3 were marred by a split spike team. 1 and 4 went smooth.

Rock on. I start the GenCon 2010 fund this week. Plan on taking the whole crew with me next year. Should be fun. My 7yr old is all about Pokemon right now and my step duaghter is all over Anime stuffs. My wife... she plays FarmTown on Facebook. *sigh*

Oh well, ill just wait for the photos for this years GenCon and for the registration codes for hotels in few months.

ive accumulated over 1300 reward merits on my troller in the last 2 months so someone has to be running them =P.

Okay, Frost's arc was a little wierd last night. Maybe that ship just likes tight clusters, but tight clusters of Malta. All those grenades kept stunning my brute (5 grenades at 3 mag each). Sappers aren't that annoying as DA, but those grenades are. And Im still not sure what happened at the end with Lt Frost. I couldnt tell if he died fast or what, but he muttered something about a proton gun and was gone. And oh yeah, using GW in AE needs its own mission flag with that uberz hold of hers.

Was nice to get back into this event after 2 months of being busy on monday nights.

Dangit. I love treespecs, but alas tonight is my anniversary (8th). If there is to be a 9th, I probably wont be online tonight.

Been suggested in many forms.

1) Pick the level that you want to start respecing from.

2) /reslot. Re-slot powers without actually changing them.

3) /reenhance. Keeps all powers and slots but allows you to change enhancements around freely.

Each comsumes a "respec" but takes alot of busy work out of it.

There is a spot right as you enter the last room where the graphics go silly. In the hall is fine. Past that spot in the main room is fine. Just something with that little patch as you transition into the last room.

This is mostly true. The more effects, costume accessories, etc, the bigger your costume file/data. This only impacts when a player first "sees" another and the game transmits the costume data. Its like getting close to an AE building or WWs, and the game "pauses" for a second or two, while it gets all the player data for those now in range.

Now on to Power Customization. Considering its in closed beta, even if I had information to share about how its done I couldn't tell you. But, its likely that it will work like the costumes and that it will be transmitted with that. Now it will increase that data burst, but it is a one time deal. Nothing new will likely need to happen real time.

Dark Armor tanking is fun. DA/Mace is nice disorient synergy... and those blue mitos in AE... cake. (DA has built in fear and end drain resists). Plus OG is annoying in PvP because its always there, even if just for a moment, its a great chain breaker for those you can keep in melee.

Early Early morning is the best. I remember doing the 2am to 6am Saturday morning radio show in college. Fun times. Like getting a call at 530am that the 6am jockey cant make it because he's in jail.

Or you could buy the jet pack in the shard and use that to fly to X-Ray.

Speedtests are really only useful if you use a beacon close to where the server you are downloading from is located. (Ex. I can get way better results using Minn or Chicago for my speedtests, but the CoX servers are located on the coasts. Use sacramento for better numbers).

4 hrs => 240mins => 14400sec. 917MB => 7300Mb. 7300/14400 => 500Kb/s.
Which really isnt that bad of speed to a server that isnt close to you (1000mi+).

Personally, I would have bought a hard copy of GvE for $20 at Best Buy. Comes with 1 month code and the $5 would have been worth it to bypass ALOT of the downloading.

I think the mapserve issues turned me off the most to this last weekend. Probably the least playtime on an open weekend for me in a long while.

My availability for TT#58 is still in the air. It is my son's birthday and Im not sure where I will be tomorrow night. (Might be at TT with him... who knows).

Working just fine for the rest of us. The merits dont award until everyone leaves the last mission map, so if you quit before then, you wont get the reward merits.

Team Awesome clocked in at 1h28m.

Those L40s really slowed us in the first mission, 30mins to complete. And we had 2 in the second. They werent insurmountable, just slow to kill. Im kinda hoping the stay. At least adds some flair to the TF.

Looks like it, except for the Red Fortunes. 280merits = 14 rolls + the 2 PoolAs = 16 shown.

Im up to 855 merits on my TF runner with another 32 coming tonight from Manti. One of these days Ill spend them.
