#2. Recall Friend- (Time & Space Manipulation: +Stealth) will this grant stealth to my teammate or myself in the same manner as my first question (passively/proc on myself or on my teammate when I tp them)?
    Thanks again for the advice
    Both should only affect yourself.

Dropping the zero from Empath was a great start. However it can still only really be obtained via the Arena, just a lot less Arena time.

Damage badge 3 and above (especially Immortal) are best obtained to only obtained via AFK farming.

The money badges: only via normal game play, transfers and marketing do not apply nor does money from AE mishes/farms/arcs. Yet the requirements for money badges 5 and 6 (Popular, Leader) do raise a question of their accuracy. 1 billion and 2 billion respectively.

Also there are some of the KILL X-AMOUNT badges that some question the requirements of: ie: Illusionists, Rikti Monkies to name a couple.

Tack in 3-slotted hasten...for PermaDom and PermaHasten.
(And hope your End bar doesn't self-destruct.)
    215% Recharge? Anyone? Anyone?
At 125% recharge from IO sets you don't need hasten, so if you keep Hasten you don't need to slot it unless you plan to PvP and thus put up with the "diminishing returns" that will slowly sap the recharge out of you.

Also the attacks aren't slotted specifically for recharge, 4 or 5 purple sets, plus at least 3 to 4 LOTG Global recharge boosters and a couple of other sets that have recharge as a set bonus.

To achieve Perma-Dom, you need about +125% Recharge. This can be achieved -without- Hasten.

Bonuses also stack a little silly. A "particular" bonus can only be stacked 5 times. Now for example, does this mean that you can slot +6.25 Recharge 5 times, and +5.0 Recharge 5 times and get a full effect, or am I missing something?
In Dragonball Z there are three levels of the Super Saiyan (fusions are ignored along with DBGT)

In COV there are 3 levels of Permadom.

Permadom a.k.a. Permadom 1: 70% recharge from IO bonuses plus 6 slotted hasten. Your build will likely be a bit clunky and you risk frequent dom/hasten power crashes.

Ascended Permadom a.k.a. Permadom 2: 90% recharge from IO Sets plus 6 slotted hasten = Permadom+Permahasten. A better build, fewer power crashes.

    But just wait…..it gets better…..

Cut to a scene of Recluse and his henchmen……

Ghost Widow: "Has he really found a way to surpass an Ascended Permadom? Is that possible?"

Scirocco: "Nah he must be bluffing, I mean what would that make him, double ascended?"

Cut back to the dominator as he starts building power: "And THIS…..!"

    Lord Recluse: "What's he doing?!"

    Dominator: "IS TO GO….EVEN FURTHER…..BEYOND!"

Insert gratuitous 10 minutes of yelling and screaming from the dominator as power levels build to unprecedented levels while every watches in shock and awe……

"Sorry that took so long, it takes time to power up. In this form, hasten isn't needed…..and you can call this Super Permadom 3"

Makes one wonder how long the team in charge of bases/raids, etc have been under the Cone of Silence..
  6. Good to see it will be per costume as well. Nice to see they are going the distance.

They don't. However, "need" is not the topic of discussion here. It seems that the issue really stems from whether or not a Kheld will be able to earn the badge associated with the Patron arcs, and if so, if that will give the powers. And if not, then one needs to ask why that "villain" is cut out of a portion of the storyline and a badge that every other villain can presumably accomplish?
If Khelds can't get the Ancillary powers then they shouldn't get Patron powers, either. Let em take a patron if they want for the sake of getting the Patron badge and presumably Usurper for taking down Recluse at the end of the Patron's last arc.

If you're interested, post your global and the AT of the character(s) you want to get the badges on. We're going to have to run this several times, as each side needs to win once, and besides we're probably going to have to do a lot of AT juggling to get the Pentad working each time.

I'd like to do this tonight, but if there's not enough interest in the next four hours, it gets auto-rescheduled for this weekend; saturday or sunday afternoon.

And as a software engineer IRL the idea that it would have been difficult to change a single value in a piece of code from 1 billion to 100 million is completely ridiculous.

Basically I consider the whole "typo that took roughly 4 years to fix" story to be an insulting joke, but hey that might just be me.

I still believe Posi always INTENDED to have Empath set at 1 billion HPs and it simply took many years of math and commonsense to finally convince him of his mistake. I think he dragged his feet on it because he thought the 20 or so people who first AFK farmed for Empath (because NO ONE ever earned it via natural play) would be upset with it being lowered, like 20 people's feeling were more important than 1000s of others. I think only after a bunch of people who had Empath claimed in the forums that they would -not- actually mind it being lowered did he finally decide to do it.

If he needed to save face by telling us that this was some kind of "typo" then that's his deal for what it's worth. I think he should have just been honest with us, but again that could just be me.

Water under the bridge I suppose...
Be that as it may, Empath is indeed water under the bridge. Still wouldn't mind though if they reevaluate certain other badges though.

They may just add some random Day Jobs if they can come up with locations that make sense. The only way I could see real justification is if Going Rogue adds a specific building for transportation to Praetorian Earth. If so, then it would likely have a Day Job associated with the location - maybe something like Portal Technician since the Portal Corp one is just 'Intern'.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Now that would make sense much like the architect dayjob was added in. still I hope they don't go hogwild, or if they do they contemplate the wisdom of dropping it to a 14 day time requirement.
  17. Also they say that if we switch sides we can switch back again, so badge loss from side changing may not occur. Emphasis on the word may.

As to day jobs, I think there is more then enough of them, I can't see anymore being added even with GR, regardless of any "exclusivity" of some badges only being on blue or red side.

    Bye Bye Bridging

I suspect that the upcoming new slider for difficulty combined with the auto sk of the AE will BE the "fix for bridging".
  19. Shield can be a bad stamina drain. Fire armor has the self heal and consume to recharge with.

    New Forms?

    [ QUOTE ]
About the only thing we can hope for, especially because of the power customization coming, are new form *graphics*, but not powers themselves changing. So instead of only being able to take squid form, you might have a choice between squid, a vaguely humanoid energy form, and a lightform-esque ball of energy. with the same exact 4 energy blasts no matter which form you choose for that costume slot power choice.

In fact, I *really* hope they allow us to choose between 2-3 different forms per shape change power we have, as I really loathe the squid form's looks, however I love the Dwarf form, so 1 out of 2 ain't bad.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Have they confirmed if Power Customization will be for the Khelds initially or at a later time?

Lately I've been on teams with people who are in the late 40's or even 50 levels and just don't know how the hell to play the game. Then you ask them and they are like 'Oh I got the game 4 days ago and farmed AE to get these levels. Also, what's an enhacement?'

Some of them really seem to know how to play and I give them credit for it, but some play so stupidly bad its actually funny.

One team I was on with my 50 tank, the leader and team was so dumb I actually had to stay on the team just to be amused at how stupid some of them really play.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Here's a shining example of a new player that was PL'd:
He was broadcasting a "Giant Monster Hunt AE team! 8 spots open, make 50,000+ at L48!"

He was a 20 something character, no vet badges, and showed clear signs of being an AE PL. Also of course:

    1. Can't have 8 open spots on a team since you yourself are a spot already taken.

    2. I don't see the GM's in the AE yet, last I'd heard was they were trying to set them to be used only on outdoor maps due to their size.

To be honest I do have some plot ideas revolving around the GM's so they day they show up in AE is the day I'm a happy author.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I rather say that was a special kind of fisherman, and you took the bait.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh I didn't join his team at all. Me and others were having fun pointing out the humor in stating 8 spots open and that GM's werent in the AE.

If we're allowed to keep badges when we switch, GR is pretty much guaranteed to add more DJ badges since since some are unique to each side in that they're earned for different things and don't have corresponding badges on the other side:

    Villain only:
    Pilot
    Arachnos Agent
    Demagogue
    Crey Employee
    Smuggler
    Arachnos Official

    Hero Only:
    City Official
    Commuter
    Shopkeeper
    Dimensional Explorer
    Intern
    Law Enforcer

Some of these would work thematically as counterparts of each other (City Official/Arachnos Official, Intern/Crey Employee, Smuggler/Commuter), but a lot of it would depend on how they set up the areas where each DJ corresponds to...

This, and future one-side only TF/SF badges and two of the big reasons why I don't plan on switching sides at all... at least with my main badgers, of which I have one on each side.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't plan to switch my main badgers either at this time, but I need more data on GR before I make a final decision.

I'm also still of the opinion that there are way more then enough badges in the game as it is already and I was for the most part glad when the bulk of the AE badges were stripped, and I'd still like to see Synapse since he seems to be the badge man nowadays to at some future point review all the badges and their criteria.
