ironically thats what the devs were going for with villains.
So there are too many zones in heroes? i think a better way of phrasing this would be to say there are too many UNUSED zones in heroes, the quantity is a good thing, the content is a bit lacking.
With places like the dark astoria and shard, if they had more unique content that could be played at all or large level ranges, then they would be used by people a lot more, and if they had a big overhaul, you would probally see more people in them than in the usual city zones like steel, talos, Fouders, but if the content was quite unique and specific not designed with a chocolate box of storylines then players would used ALL the zones at a more equal rate, surely thats what the devs should be aiming for right? -
The red-side definately needs some content love, and if we/they don't get some soon then going rogue is going to make at least 33% of red-side go blue-side even if the characters back story is supposed to be extremely super villainouse like squashing babies heads for fun (sick example i know, but it proves a point...)

I really like the idea of leveling the burning buildings thingy,
i personally think the time frame it uses is stupid... WOW! building raging with flames, QUICK lets put out the fire!... (starts putting out fires)... hey this is sure taking it's time... wait, wha!? the fire just dissapeared.
If the fire stayed there and got worse maybe infecting other buildings or something untill it was delt with by whatever means that isn't just some wierd hose generator back pack. =D -
plus they're no fun if you out level them, i did a couple on my lvl 50 scrapper, not much fun. especially when your the only person doing anything

Hey, i wanted to post this where a lot of people and hopefully the devs would see it.
When you think of the CoH/V universe as you see it when you are traveling arround it doesn't seem all that big (especially with a caped Super Speed char) each level range has 1 maybe 2 zones for them to play in and when you get to 50 you either go to the rikti war zone, Cimerora for the ITF, or paregrine isles/grandville to do loads of missions to build up influence/infamy to improve your build.
Now i know there is so much more in the CoH/V universe than that, what about the Shadow Shard, that place is amazing but soo soo empty, i mean the fact that it is HUGE and onyl really useful for 8 man task forces is probally why it was soo empty but still this is my point.
I myself am an environmental fenatic i may say, i love thinks in nature that look original, breathtaking, beautiful, amazing, and if i could i would spend my life designing and creating islands, archipelagos, planets if that were even possible becasue it is my biggest passion so you can understand why i don't like to see fresh original content wasted, even if it doesn't seem so fresh when playing through it.
I want to see more of a community presence in places like this. We as players need thrills, we need HUGE Content and i mean that in terms of size. Rikti ship raids and Hamidon raids are great examples of stuff that would be great to have more of, more easily accessible constant action that any solo player could join into and enjoy when their fed up of grinding on their level 50.
I have a few idea's that i would like to add in here, so here they are.
A Constant Raid: this could be like a zone that has a constant battle going on. This would be like a hamidon raid that had Infinite regiments of custom critters, like venguard and longbow, all fighting one Giant War in a huge place, as if every time you went into the Hamidon Zones the Hamidon was always active with fleets trying to destroy it. This would be the ideal place for level 50 characters to team and farm for infany/influence and im sure the devs don't have anything against 50's farming for monez as they can't out level and content at their level and will always need something new to amuse themselves. This idea could be added in on something already existant, or it could be something totally new, I am only using the hamidon as an example becasue i can visualise the idea well on the hamidon landscape.
Repeatable missions, as well as mission arch's in a zone that had frequent small zone events. This would be kinda like the rikti war zone just exagerated more for the purpose of it being a purely out of instance Zone. It could have missions such as defeat a specific enemy that spawn on the map somewhere every so often after it has been defeated, kinda like how the GM's are at specific places. I could see problems with people farming these enemies and stopping people from completing the missions, unless some perameters or something were met. But if there were these as well as the enemiy groups Raiding a base and fighting for supremacy over it, kinda like having a place where longbow and Arachnos fought over a specific base with waves of each faction coming every 30 mins or so with minions Lt's bosses EB's and AV's in them like a full scale battle, like the croatoa battle that iv'e personally never seen but would definately like to some time.
Now I doubt there is anyone out there thinking that having exciting Content that brings a zone to life with high community turn out is a bad idea, ecpecially somewhere that the devs have put a lot of heart into designing.
If you have any ideas and stuff that you think could make the game more exciting and increase the community turn out then post them here, im sure there are loads of people how think the same way i do when it comes to wasted content.

Ok, firstly as a scrapper person, i don't know in dominator terms what role i would be playing but the way i play most of the time is blasterish. normally start with the group immob then fire fire at them to kill them off, seems to work pretty well. I don't use the Confuse much anymore, and never really use the sleep or the group hold, and i occasionally use the target hold when i feel like it but thats not too often, in fact i hardly use carrion creepers either, it's normally just me and my pet, which is why i took the leadership pool.
Soooo i guess what i'm looking for is a hard hitting survivable perm dom that can spam imob's (and the hold if spamable) with a nicely buffed pet by my side

Anyways, super reflexes seems pretty descent to me, with the res defense and regen bonuses, if you ever get to a low HP level, you will have the res to protect you a bit if you get hit again, the defense to stop them hitting you appart from 5% of the time, and the regen to recover your health whilst you arn't taking any damage, seems pretty descent to me...
...plus it can down AV's which is always exhillerating =D -

Im gona roll a Da/Sm tank which i have a build for courtasy of _Deth_, And i think im also going to go with a Inv/SS tank as it does sound pretty tasty, and all those auto powers look more than satisfying =P
As much as i like fire, i have fire on my main scrapper and never really liked fire on tanks, no matter how very much the same it is, but thats just me and Stone armour, i would definately take that if i could find a way to balance out the damage res and speed issues, not being allowed travel powers with granite sucks tho, but i would probally have to use granite only when im fighting.

Hey, Tankers may not be Ninjas but im sure they can be samurai, it'd be pretty much the same powers, easily soft capable defenses, just with a little added res will power style, and some taunt type aura, as samurai can attract lots of attention with the whole killing everyhting, so everyone tryes to kill them and they just waste them as well (wait thats the tanker inherent...)

Hey everyone
A while back i had a search for a guide or something which gave the resisitance boost numbers for the super reflexes auto powers. I didn't find anything that had any kind of statistics stuff in it so i thought i would make my own.
Unfortunately i only have a lvl 4 /SR scrapper so i made do with only having access to one of the powers and at a quite low level.
Each jump is representative of a jump's worth of base resistance, whcich is an increase in 5.07% total health each time. I used this to work out that for ever 1% loss in health below 60% gives a 0.33% increase in resistance. This means that in total with a 3 special auto powers and Hp at 1% or less (a.k.a 1 Hp) the user would have about 60% res to all damages. At 30% (half way) the user would have about 10% res from each so would have about 30% res.
HP% - w/1 - w/all
0% - 20% - 60%
15% - 15% - 45%
30% - 10% - 30% (The Adverage from a tank Toggle power)
45% - 5% - 15% (The adverage from non melee At's toggle powers)
60% - 0% - 0%
These numbers arn't that big, but they do make a difference, whilst fighting a SR critter in Architect i could see the damage i was doing weakening and could see the 1/3 loss from the bonus quite easily, so in the long term, or in large fights this extra res is pretty sweet for something you get completely free =)

Ok, as far as my play style goes, i would definately much prefer _Deth_'s model
Tho i have one lil problem im not happy with, it may seem small but i know how i am.
With super speed, on that build be speed only goes up to about 72mph, which is pretty far from the speed cap, and if im honest, after doing a 35 tf with my scrapper at the speed cap down from 92.5 to about 82 i thought it was annoyingly slow for a SSing hero.
So is there any way i could speed my self up a bit, or would it be better if i took something like fly instead if this is going to bug me so much???

Hi, I descided to have a look at my first 50 hero in Mids to try and make a plan for how im going to slot her. I used the same powers at the same levels and the same ammount of slots she has atm and tryed to slot them as best i could with what i had.
I was hoping someone could give me a couple of tips on how i could make her a little tougher, im guessing by looking at mid's that she's quite tough already, and the recovery vs end consumption i've got going on shows i shouldn't have any problems with toggles.
Here's how she plays atm:
I sort of have an attack chain, tho with the recharge bonus from the IO sets i recon it'll probally change a little at least. Also my PBAoE attack doesn't really get used atm, but if i get rid of it then i will only have single target attacks which don't favour well for RttC but then again im not sure if i need many targets with RttC as my regen should be high enough to deal with a couple enemies on their own.
As far as i can tell my scrapper is probally best suited for small high level groups rather than large same level groups as far as damage and survivability go for the most part, so if this is true then i would quite like to be able to down AV's with my scrapper which is something i've never done before.

Other than your attacks, the two biggest endurance users are Dark Regen and Death Shroud; DS is underslotted for end reduction, and Dark Regen has no end reduction at all! Both DR and DS need at least 60% end red, IMO. Also, Focused Accuracy costs a huge amount of endurance; if you're talking it for the +Acc, drop it and get a Kismet +Acc instead.
I would also strongly recommend that you pick up Op Gloom. It costs almost no endurance, and takes all minions--except Stun resistant ones--out of the fight altogether. Used in combination with the SM attacks that Stun (Stone Fists, Fault) it will even Stun bosses. I think picking up Fault would be a good idea because of that.
You don't seem to be building toward stacking defense bonuses, so you might want to consider dropping Weave, too, if you need another power pick. If you do want more defense, you need to decide whether you are aiming for typed or positional defense, and look for the appropriate bonuses. (I prefer typed def for DA since you can concentrate on mitigating its weakness to Energy damage, but positional def would work too.)
What would be really great would be if you or someone could give me a build, even if its nearly completely different to mine because that would help immensely =)

I'm Looking to build myself a nice blockish tank, I am planning on running a DA/SM tank for conceptual reasons plus the Res levels, but i was wondering out of all of the Tanks which primary gives the best survivability, as well as making it fun to play.
Now these 'best set' questions are normally hard to answer so im gona narrow it down a little.
I like fast paced gameplay, and that means quick attacks with brutal damage to make me feel super strong (My mains are scrappers if you can't tell =P)
Also for me to feel strong i need fast paced recovery and regen as well (and PP being added in i16 that shouldn't be too much of a problem)
I want to be able to get as close to both the defence and Res caps as possible, and i would preffer to be more in the middle that having to choose between the 2.
So what can you guys suggest???

I just bought myself a months worth of play time, and after i had i clicked to cancle subscription so the payment wouldn't continue after the time i bought ran out.
i've done this before and its worked fine but now it wont let me log onto the game because apparently i don't have any game time on the books.
On the NCsoft site it says i have untill the 5th october which is one month, but it wont let me log in. (Edit: test Server btw)

I currently have a lvl 50 fire/Wp scrapper (first 50 hero), and i wanna bit of help with the build, atm im hardly slotted at all and i have trouble dealing with EB's sometimes, so there is something desperately wrong here.
so i was hoping someone could give me a little help, i would post my build but i can hardly use mids so ill post the powers i have instead.

cool, tho there isn't a travel power in there, im guessing something along the lines of Day job travel powers or temp ones if needed???
anyways, i have a few Q's
1) any build kinda needs Cj/Hover and Weave right?
2) those 4 attacks in there, havoc punch, thunder strike, chain induction, lightning rod, are the only 4 i will need im guessing with something along the lines HP=>TS=>HP=>CI as a chain, with LR being the opening move, would the recharge allow for that??
3)does having numina +regen +recovery in an auto power really work that well, surely that would work more than nicely in the new energise power with the whole 120 sec base recharge and the 120 duration of the numina effect?
i think i might be getting the hand of this build thingy a bit more... =) -
to be honest... who really cares if CP and energise are totally different powers or not, arguing about whether they are or not is going to achieve absolutely nothing because it will never be one nor the other.
and as for Dim Shift, if it changes it will change in the best intrest of the player without overpowering it, so there's no point wining about it unless your trying to let the devs know that.
