plant immob does prevent knockback for a certain amount of time after you cast it (if your spamming it then i wouldnt worry about the duration of the -kb)
-
thats very impressive, i know how hard it can be doing that with a team, so all i can say is congradulations
-
it took us several tries on victory to get a successful one done
they take a LOT of organization and coordination and the best thing to do is practice practice practice
even one that does not go well you would learn from the experience to make another attempt
good luck on your next attempt! -
i doubt its weighted on AT, but each purple set prolly has its own weight (only varying by like 1%), all purples have a fairly low chance of dropping anyway, but i am not sure what the actual drop rate is

Quote:sounds good, and i should be around then, if im not busy at the time ill be glad to join (i got like 18 lvl 50 villains i can bring so i can fill just about any roll)Hello Victorians.
Denizens of the Rogue Isles must ascribe to greater things than just another coop ITF with the silly heroes. I propose that this upcoming Sunday at 5PM EST we descend upon the nazis with rampant prejudice as we tackle the Barracuda Strike Force. Come one and all for a delightful test of wit and skill. -
Quote:this is exactly my thinking lolThis.
I play exclusively on Victory. Any time I move off-server, the character ends up abandoned before I hit 20. I know a LOT of other people who play exclusively on Victory, too. I can't speak for them, but if a server merge ever happened, my sub would be cancelled immediately.
If I'm not already on your server, I don't [i]want[/ì to be on your server, and I'm not going to move there.
ill never leave victory and the very very few toons i have off-server have *maybe* left the tutorial, i have 1 off sever toon at lvl 14, but i havent use him in like 300+ days now -
something like this would be interesting, instead of a random contact why not make this sg oriented?
use the mish comp for the random things like:- find hidout of enemy (use sg base raid tp for this, or make a new tp that uses the raid tp look but goes to sg mishs)
- defend base from raiding enemy group (would be instanced and act like a mayhem, nothing in your base would actually be harmed)
- raid the enemy group (instanced mish with destroy objects/defeat bosses (objectve would be random and could be anything from stealing to killing enemies))
thoughts on that? -
as for being turned down, those guys were just looking for PL prolly.
people like fire/kins because they get 3 pets to work with and can be very dmging with IOs and such, and hot feet and the mass hold both work in melee range so easier and more beneficial to be close as the FS would make everything dmging.
i personally have not used one, but i have seen people farm really well on them.
those guys who turned you down were prolly just looking for a PLer, and they are the jerks. -
for merit rolls they just moved the pools they originally had for completing TFs an trials and did some merging to make the merit rolls.
purple drops are kind of in their own pool and not included in any of the merit/ticket pools, they just have a chance to drop when fighting lv 47+ enemies. -
i dont know what the weights on drop % are, but i know you have a chance for a purple drop killing lvl 47+ enemies.

Quote:i keep it off because ive never really had a problem with people randomly tp me and its really annoying in mishs like if i was killing time fighting while waiting for a tp cause someone was stealthing.<qr>
After having a level-up interrupted by an ATT, or getting TPed in the middle of buying some enhancements or selling stuff, and you may want to re-consider having that prompt off.
About the only time I have the prompt off is if I'm afk for a bit and have a heal aura or bubble on and the team can TP me around to use that until I get back. And, before SSK, when I was mentoring someone so they could keep me close enough. -
everything should be fine, when you go upgrade plot, it gives you a similar editor to the normal base editor but lets you pick the plot size (and highligts the area of the new plot)
when you change the plot size, your base stays as it is and just adds the extra squares for you to put more rooms, ect. -
the option is stll in the game, i always have it disabled because i think the pompt is especially annoying
the option to prompt tp is under the first box in the general tab, the box labeled team options.
they didnt remove any options (they actually added more), they just rearranged some of the existing options -
many people do skip it, its not really a necssary power
on my sonic/rad corr i took it at first too and was planning on slotting 1 acc in it, but as soon as i noticed it couldnt take acc enhances i immediatly respec'd it out.
unless you plan on putting IOs or HOs in the power which increase acc, its always gonna suck. -
if you really want extra speed slot some IOs wth run speed bonuses (gift of the ancients(proc), aegis(2 needed), to name a few)

Quote:if you turn particle physics to off then th objects wont even stay on the screen.Menu > Options > Graphics Tab > Advanced Graphics Settings Section > Particle Physics Quality > Low
That will reduce the number of physics objects like shell casings, exploding debris, and propel items that are drawn at the same time.
If you have the Wedding Pack, throw rose petals or confetti. The new, smaller bits will cause the older, bigger bits to disappear. -
if you put a run IO in sprint (that alone wll do significantly more than swift)
as you get higher in lvl, ninja run actually gets faster anyway. -

ive played other MMOs before and CoX is the only one that i feel is NOT a grind. almost every other MMO ive played is a ridiculous grind to get anywhere in the upper lvls of the game. and whats worse about the other MMOs is the fact they have an ever-rising lvl cap.

Quote:wormhole has high enough mag tp to tp EBs too, it gets even more fun if someone pops a -kb power on them then wormhole the mob into a tight clump for excellent debuffage/AoE/cone/ect attacks.Hehe, wow...sounds like you had fun on that team :P Fun as in tearing your hair out eh?
I think another combo that could be total team chaos would be Grav/Storm. For basically the same reasons: Hurricane to repel mobs away from melee'rs but the added bonus of Tornado knocking mobs all over the place!
I will say that I was hesitant to go Gravity Control with my grav/thermal but I'm glad I did. It's been kind of fun getting to play with Wormhole and Singularity. Trying to get used to Wormhole and how it worksIt's nice to have a "tp foe" power that teleports bosses too hehe. Great for when your team is in a CoT cavern mission or any other mission where there are two spawns right beside each other....tp one of them towards the team (telling them that you're doing so) and wa-la, only 1 spawn at a time (that is if your team can't handle 2 spawns)
-
Quote:As a devoted solo player, I can't speak about teaming, but handling a 3 mob
spawn is cake for any stalker (worthy of the name) above L12.
Steps:
1> Pick a mob you can 1-shot with - BU -> AS .... 1 Down.
1a> While AS is animating target #2 (mouse clik doesn't interrupt AS).
2> Placate #2
2a> Target #3 - Use your biggest power that will Crit. (Impale, for a
spiny, for instance). Follow that up immediately... #3 should be dead now.
If not, finish him. It shouldn't take but 2 or 3 shots.
3> If you 1-shot crit #3 and killed him (happens quite a bit with even-con minions),
your AS will probably recharge before #2 Unplacates - standard AS strike applies...
All 3 dead now...
If it took a few shots or if you haven't got enough recharge in your powers
yet, you're in a simple 1v1 melee - this should be easily winnable.
Unless you're low enough level that you don't have Placate yet (L12, I think),
or your difficulty is set too high, or your powers aren't slotted properly yet,
killing three typical mobs should be a cakewalk 90+% of the time.
The only real wrinkle happens if your attacks whiff on #3. If you whiff on
#1, you have the option to simply wait for AS again... Whiffing on the final
guy is no big deal. But the middle guy can lead to a 2-v-1 fight against
you. Not usually a big problem even then - just pretend you're a Brute, or
Lance Armstrong and SMASH or hop on your bicycle as the situation warrants...
As for the OP, *any* stalker is just fine in the PvE game...

i wasnt talking about a mob of 3 enemies, im talking a map spawned for 3 people (mob size about 5-8 enemies)
i could handle a 3 enemy mob (solo spawn), but not much more than 4 enemies at a time -
this is something you would file to support on the NC site, COX cant do anything about it.
-
Quote:i agree with him, im not transferin any villains because i dont want them to lose their vg, my vg is mostly self run meaning it is not super active and i usually have a hard time getting my own toons back into it because i cant invite my own toons if a freind is offline.Careful there Ocho - server transfers, while free for a bit longer, have severe in game consequences regarding Super Group membership.
Just pointing this out before someone accidentally transfers out of their group and is unable to get back into it....
PS: Triumph got left out - not cool! -
cant have same names because if someone sent a tell, then who would it go to if you have the same name as someone else?
if your having issues with a name, move to a less populated server where the name will most likely be available. otherwise do what you said and make a slight alteration (like interchanging l (L) and I, which in game look identical)
