not just that, but the sf has a history of being plagued with bugs preventing the temp powers from working correctly (since i15 they been on-off working with almost every patch)

i would agree with him, the fact your getting swarmed with like a total of approx 300 enemies, even with soft capped defense your gonna get hit because if you just look at the fact that with soft cap they have 5% chance to hit you, then 100 guys aiming at you 5 statistically will get through, when you have 300 guys aiming at you, then 15 can get through (not saying that there are chances all can miss or more can hit, since the chances are there)

if you have soft cap defense and heals you will be able you will be able to survive for the most part

    Protector bots?

i have my protector bots with 1 acc, 3 defense, 2 heal (these are SOs still as i am still getting funds for him to start slotting, ive got 20 lvl 50s and they are expensive to slot, only finished 2 of them)

we had a /dark mm and i was using a sonic/rad corr so we were doing fine on debuffs, we were having some issues with reichsman because one of our brutes was having issues (a /elec) and was DCing a lot, the other brute we had was a /EA, which they were basically getting 3 shotted by reichs and without a brute reichs just mauled the squishies.

next attempt we do on this ill bring my stone brute
  5. Necrotech_Master

    Ouch!

vanguard are ridiculously hard for melee ATs because they have a full array of debuffs (all melee attacks do -resist, flashbang grenades for lots of -tohit, that dang curse of weariness, -regen, and -defense)

on a controller or dom this group is relatively easy assuming you can keep them locked down

on squishier types, they are quite annoying too, but the fact they can melt most brutes like putty too makes it a pain (my dark/stone fully IO'd out brute in granite cant handle more than x3 or x4 spawns of vanguard solo, i tried x8 and when i run into a mob my acc and defense gets debuffed so bad that i cant hit anything and everything can hit me, then the -resist of the melee poeple starts kicking in and is MORE effective than the longbow sonic nades.
  6. i wouldnt mind attempting it again, i think the sf is very fun and that a large majority of teams just give up if they get wiped on the ambushs thinking they spawn unlimitedly.

ive successfully completed the sf about 5 out of 8 times ive been on it (1 of those times was a master run in which we were successful but had to deal with a bugged mm temp AND a bugged master badge, which we had to wait 3-4 days to actually get)

i do advise that having a full team makes dealing with the ambushs easier and will take down reichs faster, pets are also very good for the reichsman fight because its just a ton of added dmg

i think the first time i completed it we were on a full team and the mm temp wasnt working properly (that fight took like 45 min), when the mm temp works properly and you have debuffs/dmg you can take him down between 5 and 20 min

the snake farm is decent, but very hard to do unless your a brute with very high toxic/lethal resists

the eggs themselves dont give xp anymore, but if you pop the eggs they spawn boss ranked enemies, and on x8 spawn there cuold easily be 30-40 total eggs in that room (i do not advise soloing that unless you can handle mobs of 10+ bosses/LTs (depending on difficulty settings) with high toxic dmg unless you have outside buffs)

the snake farm is very rewarding, but its also prolly one of the more difficult farms (at least since the egg xp nerf)

from what ive heard, they wont do this due to people merit farming, unless it worked like normal contacts and only gave the person who started the arc the merits, but im not sure if they could do that.

  10. i have a lvl 50 bane spider build, i didnt care for the crab spider much (mostly because its insanely hard to solo until you get pets)

one thing you really want to do is get some -kb IOs since their armors have no inherent kb protection, although they have lots of inherent mez protections.

the bane spider is great, very high dmg because when stealthed and using shatter they get an "executioner" strike, which is more dmg than a crit, but less dmg than an AS and has no interrupt time. all other of the melee mace attacks do a "stealth" strike when they hit from hidden position.

if you get the scorpion pool you can also get shatter armor which is another debuff you can stack with surveillance and has about the same base dmg as shatter (shatter easily out dmges this power with an executioner strike)

you also get a single target hold with the bane spider too which is very useful for holding a target helpless

web cacoon -> surveillance -> shatter armor -> placate -> build up -> shatter

that combo will wipe out almost anything and can easily take a boss enemy down to less than 50% hp

with the 2 disruptor bots and the blaster from scorp pool, you get 2 moderatly high dmg and 1 high dmg pet to help you too

on average the bane spider is higher single target dmg and the crab and huntsman are higher AoE dmg

thats all i can think of right now that i would really like to be able to use, im sure im missing something in there, but can only think of so much at once since theres too many powers to go through in a few minutes lol
to add to my previous list:
    • tier 9s and nukes with no crash
    • mask of feebleness
    • the vanguard claws powers (all of them do -resist)

Anyone with Elec anything would love this.
not only does it have long duration, it also persists through death
  13. in the case of this proc, it doesnt constantly activate like the numi or miracle procs

the performance shifter gives a chance to fire i think every couple seconds when slotted into an auto power.

if you slot it into stamina and watch your combat window it should randomly pop up with a "you were granted 10 endurance from performance shifter:chance for +endurance"

i dont remember what the chance is for it to activate (i think its around 20-25%), so if you slot it into stamina it activates quite frequently.

    Rikti Hunter

elec armor would be better for secondary because it has kb protection and very high energy resist, for primary, i think either of those would be good, but fire prolly has more multi target dmg

self destruction isnt exactly weak (at lvl 50 the power does approx 500 dmg +/- a little due to AT differences)

as for silly or impractical, yes it could be both of those. overall its more of a situational panic button power.

  20. Necrotech_Master

    Im curious.....

even since the voids/quantums did get their dmg slightly nerfed, they still can do a huge amount of dmg. an even lvl leutenant can still 3-4 shot my PB with all the dmg toggles AND the fact that their weapons hae sow effect, high chance of KB, and high chance to stun, as soon as ne of them gets a hit on you and your out of break frees and/or dont have dwarf form, then your just going to die.

this is exactly what i was thinking when i saw this thread. athough i know mish tp has 2 hour rech, the concept is the same.

i do think 2 hours is a tad long for the mish tp, since all the other tp powers you can get (base tp, pocket d tp, assemble the team), all have 30 min recharges (which is as long as most accolade powers).

i could understand the issues of the power recharging in 30 min, but if mish tp had a shorter recharge than 2 hours it would be a bit more useful.
  22. Necrotech_Master

    Im curious.....

i avoid playing them because of the void hunter/quantums/cysts, any of that bull that spawns because of them.

PB and WS are fun to use because they have neat powers and cool sound effects, i absolutely hate being forced to fight an enemy group that does an overly huge amount of dmg to you.

if they did not force you to fight the void/quantum stuff then i would have a lvl 50 of both like a year ago, but until we get an option to turn off that flag that makes those things spawn, i will minimally use the toon unless im doing a tf with it.
  23. arc has been improved, slightly easier in the later mishs, more explanatory dialogues and contact text.

could use some more feedback on how the changes worked out

Ok, after accepting the mission it finally mentions Statesman. Still, he should either have been mentioned before the accept text or not included in it at all.

Ugh, before I even enter the mission it says to Defeat All Nemesis. Actually, why does it list all these objectives in the mission title? All of that will only be repeated once I enter the mission, making the compass window even more cluttered. Why not just say "Assist Statesman" and leave it at that?

It gets even worse once inside the mission. Search 1st computer, search 2nd computer, search.... No no no, plural objective text is a MUST here. Also, Defeat Troop Commander is absolutely redundant if you have to defeat all of the Nemesis anyway, and why must I defeat them all anyway? Nobody likes Defeat Alls, especially ones that have no good given reason and on maps larger than "small".

Hmm, not only do these Tech computers look really out of place in an Arachnos map, but they don't tell me much individually, lots of redundant text in each. Really all of this info could have been rolled up into a single big clue at the end of the mission. Also it makes little sense for all three to be in the same room in the middle of the map.

Neither Statesman or the Nemesis Commander told me anything. And thank you Midnighter guy for telling me something I already knew and nothing else in your debriefing.

I have a feeling that these are recurring errors so I'm going to stop here in hopes that the author fixes them throughout the arc.
thx for the feedback, im not a very good storyteller lol and i didnt think about every little textual end, i was a little focused on the playability of the mishs, balance of enemies for xp and ease of play.

ill take another look at it later today to try to iron out the story.
