the only thing i dislike about VEATs is the forced respec being so late, when i made my VEATs, i basically just had them PL'd to 24 because i knew whatever power choices i had were prolly gonna get scrapped and it was a forced respec so you had no choice to go in and do it

Quote:i like this idea, but i wouldnt deal with the structure point ideaI like the 'parts' idea, though how technologically feasible it is is another matter (eg I have no idea)
Heres what I would say;
Head Crippled;
-Acc(or ToHit, not sure which has a greater effect) -Perception -Recharge
Loses any powers related to the Head
-1 'Structure Point'
Right arm lost;
Loses any powers related to the Arm
-1 SP
Left arm lost;
Loses any powers related to the Arm
-1 SP
Right Leg lost;
-50% movement speed.
Loses ability to Foot Stomp, and any leg related power.
-1 SP
Left Leg lost;
-50% movement speed.
Loses ability to Foot Stomp, and any leg related power.
-1 SP
If both legs are destroyed, the Robot is immobilised. However, its other parts become stronger in damage and HP, as power is re-routed from the now broken legs.
If both arms are destroyed, the Robots speed is increased, and becomes resistant to slows and immobilises, and its head related powers become stronger, as power is re-routed from the destroyed weapons.
If the head is destroyed, the Robot becomes nearly immune to taunt effects, as it flails and opens fire on anything it can get a lock on, however temporary.
Robots 'HP' is 3 Structure Points. Once it has lost 3, it is destroyed.
make the battle similar to how lusca and in order to deal with the main body you have to destroy the arms, legs, and head (or just make the head be considered part of the body) to be able to attack the main body
some kind of explosion associated with the destruction of each body part and main body would prolly be thematic too and add some kind of challenge -
these are prolly the absolute minimum components to be able to start up the game and run it with constant lag
the specs to run it comfortably are probably a bit higher than that
and as stated in other threads about ultra mode the specs to run that are quite a bit higher than that -
heh, 1 try for me lol, but i spent 2 weeks prior to i16 planning it out in my head lol
-
in terms of scrappers, almost any set is good for surviveability
in terms of multi target dmg, i think most of them are really good except for MA which only has 1 multi target attack
overall it mostly comes down to personal preference -
i was thinking could try
- elec/sr brute and elec/cold dom corr
for more dmg could go- fire/sr brute and fire/cold corr
- dark/sr brute and dark/cold corr

Quote:i believe i said "most" not "all" people are too lazy to change it, i know i dont change it because it doesnt persist through zoning/logging, and im sure there plenty of others out there that do the same thing as you and me and ignore the system because it doesnt work properlyThis is pretty much what I do.
I don't think I appreciate being called "lazy" for not taking the next step of actually setting the flag each & every time the silly thing resets itself.
Not exactly the best way to make friends and influence people. Many react to it the same way BaBs does. -
Quote:lol, i dont know why i listed enhanced versions, thx for the correctionsDark Regen has a base recharge of 30 seconds.
Healing Flames has a base recharge of 40 seconds.
Reconstruction has a base recharge of 60 seconds.
Energize has a base recharge of 120 seconds.
Dull Pain and Earth's Embrace have base recharges of 6 minutes.
You seem to be thinking in enhanced recharge times, not base recharge times.
i used dark armor and fire armor once each, but absolutely hated the fact they have no inherent KB protection like the other sets (so much so that ive deleted both toons that used those sets), i also forgot about reconstruction since ive never used a regen -
i see most people doing this, just putting a specific comment in the search field is much easier to do (as it persists through zoning and logging and can be changed to somerthing specific to what you want to do per day)
-
most poeple are too lazy to change the flags because all of them but the "not accepting invites" flag resets upon logging or even zoning sometimes
other times is just because poeple are too lazy/dont know how to change their flag
honestly, this whole search interface needs a lot of QoL improvements -
i would definitely keep at least 1 slot for accuracy for all your pets and put 1-2 slots for acc on the tier 1 pet (since they spawn 2 lvls lower than yourself and if your fighting anything higher than +0 their accuracy drops off fast, even with supremacy tohit buff)
-
NPCs would be interesting, could put humanoid NPC models at the computers to make it look like your base is actually active, even just making like 2-3 NPCs just walk around your base with no aim or purpose would make it more lively (kind of like how midnighters walk around in midnighters club), the only part that would be hard if they walked around is pathing, but NPCs just standing around would be fine.
my suggestions:
- auction house interface
- more uses for the mish computer
- ability to call sg registrar from the computer to pay rent, ect
- access task/strike forces from the mish computer (how silver mantis is now) in some sort of sub-menu
- an AE room, that can have an AE hologram contact and green circle and interface tables put into the room to run AE from sg base
- items of power and cathedral of pain trials - but do NOT relate it to base raiding
- more base details (the current ones are kind of...old and limited in choice)
-
or continue this, why cant we just buy IOs in general with vanguard merits? or a least from a selection of certain sets, would make those vanguard merits at least useful after you got all the costume related things
-
i have an AR/traps corr thats mostly using SOs atm, im usually always spamming poison traps and acid mortar in fights, the poison trap is an excellent power especially due to the high -regen, the -regen strength of the power is as strong as lingering radiation in the /rad set
in fact, last couple sf's i did with group of my coalies with my /traps actually impressed some of them enough that they wanted to make their own /traps toons -
you could slot more than 1, because since it only has a chance of activating, then it wont be applied all the time. if you had it in maybe 2-3 powers, then you could possibly keep the -20% resist on the foe nearly constantly.
-
it sounds decent, but i doubt they would do that since dark regeneration is one of the strongest and fastest recharging self heals in the game. the other self heals usually add some toxic resist because the set either has no toxic resist built in, but also because the heals are slower recharging, the next fastest heal after dark regeneration is prolly healing flames, i think dark regenerations recharge is around 12-18 seconds, and healing flames is 30 seconds (both numbers are base values), after that is energize with 1 minute charge, then dull pain/earths embrace with 3 minute charge
-
i think the jist of what your saying is that we just need something different for the winter event
the present hunting in the zones is all well and good, and the winter lords and lord winters are cool too, but that freaking snaptooth/BNY mish is EXTREMELY overused and seriously needs to be redone -
Quote:i agree that the combat attributes window is misleading, even the tooltips when you hover over something is too vague to explain why its displaying what value the base means.That display is your character-wide damage bonus. Since enhancement levels vary by power, that display has no capability to meaningfully include it in the value it shows. Instead it indicates that the total global buff has met or exceeded the 400% cap. However, on any given power, you're at/over the cap when that number + your enhancement level is 400% or more.
To give another example where that number isn't clearly indicative of per-power caps, consider a Shield Defense Scrapper or Brute. They have buff caps over the 300% maximum of Shield Charge, which happens because Shield Charge is implemented as a pet.
The display isn't wrong, but it's not displaying what you thought it was. I'll concede that it's possibly misleading. There are other, possibly worse examples. Consider the "ToHit Bonus" attribute, which has a base value of 75%. That's terribly misleading. No one has a toHit bonus of 75%, and if we consider that your "Base ToHit", it's only valid against +0 foes with no +Defense.
another thing that poeple get confused over even more is accuracy and tohit since they are relatively the same thing, but tohit is more important -
i have a sonic/rad at lvl 50, but i built him mostly for support not soloing, he can solo mishs, but i dont know about AVs/GMs
if slotted properly i could think possibly AVs, but i really dont know about GMs -
ah, i thought it was 6, but then again im not an avid pvper and have only used the back entry into zone only like a few times
i only knew about it to begin with because of the 6 months of time i spent in RV getting the 1000 pillbox badge (prior to when it was lowered) -
in all honesty, i think tyrant is extremely underpowered right now, he is prolly one of the weakest praetorians, even though hes supposed to be the super powered leader of them, and in the background information of tyrant on the GR website, it says that he basically solo'd hamidon (or at least weakened him)
i dont really want him to turn into another reichsman, but he definitly needs some improvements to at least be on par with statesman. -
theres 2 doors, 1 outside each base that serve as a back entrance into the zone to prevent camping the entrance of the base. these doors outside the bases go to 1 of 6 doors scattered throughout the zone.
the hero back door is just outside of the base, the back door for villains is inside the base.
