12 Days of Christmas
Does each day's event expire at the end of that day?
And if so, when does the day begin/end- keeping in mind that we have players in time zones across the world?

Maybe allowing an overlap between 'days' to accommodate? 36hr days w/12hr overlap?
Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"

This would really piss off a lot of the fanbase. I know a lot of people who love this game but can't be on every day. Including a lot of badges that are "gone forever" after one day would enrage the badgers, and including arcs that were gone forever after one day would enrage the people who have been begging for new content. There is no possible way a 12 days of christmas event could end well.
On top of that, the game's pretty clearly avoided any direct reference to religious holidays. We have the "Winter Event," not Christmas.
While it's an interesting idea, there's no way to implement this without making a lot of people angry. I saw enough people annoyed when they missed the Carnival not long ago, and that wasn't really content and only gave a 3-day gold title.

Having severely time limited events at the time of year where many people are most likely to be visiting relatives (or having relatives visiting them) and thus have limited playing time, if any at all, is probably not the best idea.

Not to mentions the Devs assiduously avoid using the word "Christmas."
Twelves Days of Winter? My, what short seasons you have round here.
Even Valentines Event is now "Spring Fling."
Won't be long before Halloween Event becomes "Autumn Horror!"

Did not know that about the 12 Days of Christmas. Not real big on Xmas history; just buy people gifts and shut em up until their BDays roll around.
How about having three cycles of each 'day' so it extends out to a little over 36 days and everyone has 3 chances to run each mission...
or
Just make it to where a cycle doesn't end... it just get's added to.
I'm cool with it being called the 12 Gifts of (Something CoXish)

i think the jist of what your saying is that we just need something different for the winter event
the present hunting in the zones is all well and good, and the winter lords and lord winters are cool too, but that freaking snaptooth/BNY mish is EXTREMELY overused and seriously needs to be redone
I don't know how well the prog allows for syncing events with RT time cycles but if it were possible, an interesting add in for future Winter Events (from the 14th to the 25th) could be a '12 Days of Xmas' event.
12 Arcs; one per day for badges and/or Temps, Costumes and other presents
12 days of scavenger hunts for salvage needed to craft each day's specific recipe
Or a combination of the two.
