i liked the comedic portions, arcs that are too serious make me less interested in reading the dialogue, comedic dialogue is fun to read though lol

i have a lvl 50 ill/cold/stone troller who is approx 85% slotted
he currently has 87.5% without hasten, 157.5% with hasten and with that i have approx a 9 sec downtime on PA and hasten, if i get about 30% more rech i will have perma hasten and be about 2 sec short of perma PA
my final build once all is said and done will be at 205% with hasten or 135% without
i solved the self heal problem of cold by taking earths embrace from the stone mastery, which i will also be able to perma with my complete build
if anyone wants to see my build just send me a PM and i can put up the mids chunk -
once you unlock it, incarnate powers can be used with any lvl 50 content, it will not work when exempt though
-
if your giving away free money sure, i got 4 toons im still in process of completing their builds but the insane prices that purps are and with the randomness of the RNG, it takes forever to full slot anything (between the 4 toons im working on i need at least 40 purps, all 4 of them need 5 IOs from the apoc set, so im already looking at several billion right there)
global is @Necrotech Master -
Quote:i ran this one on my fortunata for a change of paceAnd made the random roll for this week's arc:
Arc ID: 453091
Arc Name: A Clone of Your Own?
Author: @Bubbawheat
Morality: Rogue
Level Range: 35+
Description: Just when you thought you could make a quick honest buck selling some tissue samples for SCIENCE! It comes back and bites you in the butt. According to Dr. Mephit, the samples have been stolen and as long as you want to keep your involvement quiet, you better be the one to bring it back.
first mish was very very fun due to the random clones, confuse on the random clones and watching the ensuing chaos is priceless
the 2nd mish was also fairly fun, the custom boss at the end was balanced strength wise and the clone allies are always fun
the 3rd mish was very interesting, the custom group was a interesting combination of baddies and dr mephit cowering in fear was funny lol, the ambushs and such near the end got a little tough but were manageable
i gave it 5 stars because it felt darn close to how most dev arcs feel, very linear paced and interesting and not too easy or too hard -
another AV that i could see a ill/rad not being able to kill would be a /WP custome critter AV with fast healing
WP fast healing gives 20% regen debuff resist, and AV regen debuff resist is 80%, so a AV with WP-fast healing is 100% immune to regen debuffs and has a slightly boosted regen to boot (if i remember correctly from the combat attributes, a WP AV with just fast healing will regen at about 134 hp/sec at lvl 50 and be immune to regen debuffs) -
i met my girlfriend on here and we been together for almost 3 years now
aside from my girlfriend i never really actually met anyone else on here yet lol -
im not too worried about insta respeccing most of my toons, my stone brute i think i prolly wont even respec at all, i like his build as is, the other 4 toons im working on will prolly only pick up some LOTG mules or travel powers (my dom will pick up 3 LOTG mules, my ill troller will prolly pick up 2 LOTG mules and a travel power)
-
ill prolly alpha my badger first, for you know, the badges
then after i mostly finished badging, ill start going through all 18 of my other lvl 50 toons to at least get them the alpha slot
as to what im gonna slot in each of them i havent really thought about it all that much lol -
you know what i just thought of, what your doing is akin to stock broker type stuff
and you might want to check your mail for my throw in to the pot (with a twist) -
i could get behind this, while i have tried to make money on the market, i find playing the market to be incredibly boring and would rather grind a farm map over playing the market
-
from what i read about on the level shifting, basically nothing will be affected except that higher lvl baddies will con differently
so if your a lvl 50 that is shifted by 2, you wont gain additional hp, the only thing that will change is that lvl 52 baddies will con white to you instead of orange -
Quote:to the last of my knowledge, the seige standalone mish from the new maria arc was not awarding the badge for him, and even then, hes considerably more difficult than the original siege in the original arc due to his fast charging healCathedral of Pain is Hero OR Villain; because it starts in a base, mixed teams are not allowed. It can be started by anyone who has a functioning base with a Mission Computer in it.
The new arcs from Maria and Tina are loosely based on the originals, but as said above, they're basically new arcs.
If you're working on your Dimensional Warder badge, Anti-Matter still only shows up in Tina's arc. However, Maria's no longer contains all the others; Siege is missing. To get him, you either have to run the old arc via Ouroboros, or do Maria's stand alone missions until the right one comes up.
it would prolly be easier to just flashback for it since the mish with siege is like 3ish mishs in -
right now if you get pads to start something like an ITF, and everyone quits before the first mish, then the mish will auto adjust in difficulty to match diff of the leader
the mishs of the tf work basically the same as any other mish, except that AVs are always turned on -
Quote:aside from the ones you mentioned theres also:I'm always down for giving enemies more damaging / varied attacks. More enemies should have Placate or Confuse. More should have Taunt and Repel effects. Heck, more NPCs should have powers based on powersets we get (Shield, DP, etc) similar to how we got some with Electric Control, Kinetic Melee and Demon Summoning.
I'm not really down for "piercing" rounds, the mechanic isn't exciting to me, but I could see adding it to certain powers already in existence, such as Sniper Rifle from Assault Rifle. We as players don't really have many sets where piercing would make thematic sense, but those that do, it would be nice to have. So long as it stays balanced for what it currently does.
- cimerorans (entirely based on shield defense)
- longbow nullifiers (even use the same gun as AR)
- behemoths (basically invuln/fire tanks or brutes, they are somehere in middle)
-
when i slot this i only use it for the psi resist
status effect resistance is almost worthless anyway because the mez will still hit you but this might make the duration slightly shorter, it offers no mez protection -
have you tried PMing a dev directly? this issue is prolly something that castle should look at, so i would suggest to try PMing him directly and he might be able to answer for you, just describe the full details of the bug
PMing a dev directly is prolly the only way that you will get the bug noticed -
this would make starting a duo tf that me and my friend do regularly much more convenient instead of needing 4-6 pads to start

thx for the feedback Hero Prime
i think i could clarify a few things, the first being the robots, i know the 5th column logos and such seem out of place, but theres nothing i can do about them, i think a little earlier in the arc i posted something about possibly changing the robots colors, but the AE wont let me edit the colors of the robots
the angle of the story i was going for was a more neutral perspective, as in a hero or a villain could take up the quest
ill look over it again and try to fill in the gaps on whats going on in the first couple mishs -
ill definitly be there again, maybe ill get lucky again and win the jackpot drawing like i did last year lol, that 1.2 bil really helped me finish IOing my stone brute, now i need more to finish another toon lol
-
Quote:dark armor mostly sucks until the upper lvls when you can use IOs to fill in the holes (like a theft of essence chance for +end in dark regeneration, and -kb IOs so you dont even need acro, ect)Certainly a bad Brute build I'm experiencing right now is Dark Melee/Dark Armor, it doesn't seem to hit as hard as I'd like and there's no KB protect (barely any at all with Acrobatics, if there's a better solution for that I'd like to know) and all sorts of End related problems.
once you get it IOd out then it should be pretty good -
Quote:i do turn my diff up if i know what im fighting lol, but as i mentioned with custom enemies you have no clue what your going up against so i run on the default diff the first time then my stone guy usually cranks diff to x8 unless i know its an enemy group thats too much for him (such as vanguard, x8 vanguard turned him into mincemeat but he can take on x8 of most other enemy groups with relative ease)Then turn up your difficulty, the arc wasn't designed to bust your balls on +0/x1 anyhow and that's the way it should be. AE authors should strive to keep the baseline difficulty of their arcs close to that of the normal game unless they're actually designing a "challenge" arc.
i think your arc is definitely balanced for squishier ATs, and you did a great job with it though, and if you want i can take a run through with a non-IOd corr and see if the what the experience is -
Quote:thats what i was figuring, but from what i could tell i could have run through with a corr with little difficulty as aeon is one of the easiest EBs out there IMO lolWith that build there is little that can give you trouble aside from a horde of AVs. My arcs are balanced more with squishies in mind.
your enemy group seemed balanced enough for a corr to be able to solo it on the default diff -
in mish 2 technically there was that 1 assault bot which the baddies were attacking, so i was guessing it was a combat ally but it was not set to follow
for that run i was using a dark/stone brute, but i could run it with any of the other villain ATs, i have like 19 toons at lvl 50 i could run the arc with, im sure with a corr it might be slightly more difficult at parts
i do love allies, but i dislike the allies if they steal my inf/xp/prestige from stuff they hurt. if it was a dev made mish in which the allies didnt hurt rewards, then it would have been awesome
if i was running on higher diff im sure the allies would have died almost instantly, but because i have no idea what to expect from an AE i always run on the default diff with a toon i know is survivable
i think this was the 2nd time ive run your arc, the first time i ran it was quite a while ago but i think i was using a em/sr the last time
(disclaimer: i am in no way an "average player" as ive duo'd the LRSF several times for fun lol, so my view of difficulty will be much different from the average player)
