Yeah, I'd have gone nuts. I have a very low tolerance for annoying people, despite the fact that I, myself, am an annoying person most of the time.

Try it on a defender. On a blaster it's 'meh' but on a defender it launches itself to pure win.

Welcome to the game and the forums. Not really any advice I can give above what everyone else said, except maybe just don't be afraid to start over. Try out the game as much as you can; this is the best alt-friendly game I've ever played. I've been playing for just shy of 6 years and there's still stuff I haven't done; still power combinations I haven't played.

If I were particularly long-lived, I would avoid marriage to anyone, regardless of how quickly they aged. Then again, if my life were normal length, I would avoid marriage to anyone, regardless of how quickly they aged. Really, love is only worthwhile for the first year or so, then it just becomes a huge pain that's just not worth the effort.

What this game needs to fix the inflation issue is a big old money sink.
My suggestion: Allow us to purchase merits with inf. Something along the lines of 100k inf to one merit I think would remove an awful lot of the money from the system, and the prices of everything would drop. -
