My alignment would be solidly Lawful Neutral.
I have characters from every alignment, including a Lawful Evil hero and a Lawful Good (with Stupid tendencies) villain. I think the most common alignment for my characters would probably be Chaotic Neutral. -
Quote:Except that the salvage red-side would go into the pool of the blue-side salvage, evening that up, while the supply of recipes would go to the villains, evening that up. And there's no way villains could get locked out of the market because if you merge them, influence and infamy basically become the same thing, thus the supply of infamy and the supply of influence would be identical. Also, there's no upper-limit to the supply of inf*, and generating infamy is not innately any more difficult than generating influence. The only reason there's less infamy than influence available from the markets is that they are separate.I dont' know why you think the Hero markets are cheaper.
First, there are more people playing heroside, therefore much more influence than infamy.
Second, supply might be higher on recipies, but it is lower on salvage, heroside. Cost to make things is higher, overall, on heroside than it is villainside, for both salvage and recipies.
Merging the markets will cause a large scale disruption, and it is entirely possible that villains will end up being "locked out" of the market simply because the supply of infamy is lower than the supply of influence.
I'm not discounting the fact that there will be a major disruption if the markets are merged, I'm just saying that when GR is released, there will be a major disruption anyway, so there would be no additional problems.
The only way that there would be any problems is if infamy and influence were stored seperately when you change sides, which would only lead to a greater disparity between the redside market and the blueside market. And even then a merged market would dampen those effects.
Your arguments as to why the markets should remain separate are all either non-problems, or are easily solved. I remain unconvinced.
I should also clarify my point about prices; when I say that stuff's cheaper blueside, I'm referring to the big-ticket items. I apologize for being unclear and general when I said 'everything' since that's just not true. -

Gonna throw my opinion out there and agree that any 2 VEATs will go well together. Hell, any 8 VEATs will go well together. VEATs are like defenders in that the more you have of them, the better all of them are.
Also Crabberminds = WIN! -
Quote:Sorry for going off topic here, but I'd also like to point out that Fire/Rad trollers are frequently overlooked in their farming potential. They're slightly slower than a fire/kin, but imo they make up for it with safety, especially in the pre-purple times.I realize the best farmers in the game are (Not necessarily in this order):
Trollers:
F.Kin

Add my voice to those who think that continuing not to merge the markets would be stupid. And if I'm wrong, and there's actually a good reason not to merge the markets that I'm somehow incapable of seeing, will someone please explain it to me? GR offers the perfect opportunity to do it with minimal chaos, and with the ability to switch sides, failing to merge the markets would probably lead to an even worse villain market, since a lot of people will just always go to the hero markets to get what they need, since everything's cheaper there anyway.
Failure to merge the markets at this point will basically mean that the merged market that you're going to see anyway will just be much more annoying. Better for the devs to do it and make it easy than for the players to do it and be irritated by needing to. -
Of course a decent way to travel in the early levels comes out right after I get my 60-month vet reward.
Still, the pack was purchased the moment I found out about it and, as has always happened with CoH add-ons, I feel that my money was well spent. -

I don't understand the Paypal hate. Would someone explain to me the problems they have with it, please?

Unless he meant 'I'm too lazy also' which is grammatically correct, though kinda stupid in context.

Thought that was supposed to be hard...

Absolute must have: There must be some sort of method for me to buy it.
What would be nice: A new Epic AT or two. I'd really like to see Coralax and Incarnates as playable. What would be best for Incarnates would probably be just something available to any level 50 for some sort of endless advancement. -
I've already promised to give Paragon as much money as they ask me for.

Chyll, you must be new to the mindless ramblings of Bad_Influence. Logic never works, regardless of how many holes you poke in the argument, but it was a nice try.

I liked Episodes I-III. I like hot pink fire imps that are hot pink for no reason.

I think merging the server lists would be beneficial to both sides of the pond, and I believe it would most certainly be worth the hassle of figuring out the logistics involved. I think it would even be beneficial to me as an individual. After all, I've been meaning to learn German for a long time and the extra server would be enough of an incentive to push me into finally doing it.
