I should probably note that the NCSoft store is currently erroring out on PayPal payments, and refusing my debit card.

I called Paypal directly and authorized the payment. They closed the issue and said they sent an e-mail to the seller to let them know.
That's the last time I make a purchase for the NcSoft Store using Paypal ...

It's not necessarily either of their fault. Do you have enough money in the account?
Are you buying from a country which doesn't deal well with NC? They have a number of problems with south american countries, though I thought they'd fixed some of those by using paypal at all. Dunno. But I don't think it's worth getting your panties in a bunch about.

They didn't say why, but I think it was because I made two of the exact same purchases at the same time.
And I had to change my Paypal password, resubmit my credit card information, and go through an automated phone call to confirm my account. And THEN spend 15 minutes on the phone to fix it. So, yeah. That torked me off.

I don't understand the Paypal hate. Would someone explain to me the problems they have with it, please?
The only problem I have ever had with it isn't really it's fault at all. I went negative in my bank account while trying to move money FROM paypal TO that account, but because there was a negative on the other end it kind of threw its hands up in the air and said I dunno wtf to do here.
Other than that it's a lifesaver in my opinion. I have no trouble with it, as long as I know there's an open account on the other end of it, I'm good.

I gave up Credit cards, and their practices and the usury they charge, years ago, and have been ever so much happier with PayPal.
We could start a test for bad stories about Paypal and any Credit Card company, and see which gets more hatemail. (only from people who have actually used the services . . . )

No problems getting mine to go through, and I'm in Texas. I've always liked paypal and have never had any problems with it. Granted I probably just jinxed myself for saying that..
There are sites that collect PayPal horror stories. I'll leave it all of you to Google for them; they aren't that hard to find. As they are not a bank, they're not held to the same accountability. For most people, most of the time, they will never have a problem. But sometimes, it can be quite financially damaging, and you'll never get your money back.
So yeah, Nethergoat is right. I'd never use PayPal exclusively.
I ordered the Ninja Pack for both of my accounts using Paypal, and they decided that was suspicious behavior. I just had to jump through hoops to get my Paypal restored. The Resolution Center thing still leaves an open issue saying they sent e-mails to NcSoft for dispute resolution.
If this costs me Going Rogue Beta Access because it screws up my Account I am going to be VERY unhappy!!!
Who the heck does Paypal think they are?!
