That there is generosity. Just shows how good this community really is.
Welcome back Col! Even if it is only for a short while. -
Yea I saw these before. Was scowering the site a little while ago for the Statesman statue to go with my Lord Recluse one but no luck.
Would love a CoX Ipod skin though! I'd probably start using it again then -
Not long after I started playing I've had a few dreams that I was my corruptor. Although that was a long time ago now...
Was playing wayy too much back then...
Don't remember my dreams anymore
Oh yes...
Funny title, Male anatomy jokes, epic lolz etc.
*sigh* -

Capped or no, there is no need to hold that amount at any one time. I have just priced the amount i will need to complete the build I want, I'll end up buying as I save anyhow.
I am now however being more careful with my selling.. Any names recipe is now going into the AH, where as i would vendor anything that wasn't purple before.
I still Vendor all recipes that are not invention type, and all salvage that is not recognized at a value of 5000 get given to the store aswell.
[/ QUOTE ]
IO Set Recipes should always be sold in WW IMO, even if you're listing them for 5 inf. Helps your fellow shoppers out and means more supply for everyone.

This is what I do.
I don't really care what I get for things. The way I see it is I want it sold, mabey someone out there needs it more than I do and it earns progress towards Shiny new badges. So I pop just about everything on there for 100 inf n watch it get snapped up. Apart from insps which I pop on at 1 inf each and the one Hami-o I sold. I knew it'd be worth alot so I only put it on for 1mill and ended up getting 20mill for it. Bonus!
Guess it helps not being greedy huh? -
Sorry to hear the bad news Col
Hope youre able to come back soon -
I was wandering around HMV and picked up a copy of CoV and was tempted primarly by the costume customisation. Buuut put it back down again because at the time I refused to get a game that I had to keep paying for.
However every time I went in I picked it up and put it down until I decided I may aswell seeing as I stop playing most games after a month anyway. (Guild wars lasted about 2 weeks)
I was wrong!
36 months (not continusly) and 2 accounts later i'm still well and truely hooked! Definatly spent more time on this than any other game i've ever played. Maybe more hours than i've ever spent on any game ever...
I also have to thank this game for keeping me in touch with one of my oldest and best friends, who at the time I didn't know played. I was on as a concept character I was playing around with, one of my first heroes seeing as I was spending all my time on villains and had only just bought heroes to add to it.
I saw a toon in Atlas named after his favourite football team. (Made me think of him as hes a die hard you see.) So I called him up and said "I've got an odd question... Do you play City of Heroes?"
"I do actually" he said
"Is your toon called (football team name) man?"
"Uhh yea..."
"Ha! See that loon in the suit of armor jumping up and down in front of you for the last 20 mins?"
So yea, only real person I've managed to stay in touch with from my school days cos I don't leave the game long enough to call or msn or anything like that...

Then there was the ghost, that fly away and become invisible. When they do so I loose them as a target, and can not retarget them until they reappear, but my thugs not only keep shooting at them and damage them, but can follow them even after they have become completely invisible.
[/ QUOTE ]
Is this not from the +perception that Tactics gives from the enforcer pet? Only affects your own pets hence why it'll disappear from you, try popping a yellow or two, you should be able to see that pesky Ghost

Eh, I got Blitz from 1 to 50 (my first one, even) almost entirely through soloing. And this was before the exp curve adjustments and other changes.
Also, you don't have to do EB missions: You are WARNED before accepting these, the NPC tells you it'd be a good idea to get help, because you may or may not be able to handle it alone. Reading mission descriptions is a valuable skill.
Complaining about optional content is a little silly, don't you think?
[/ QUOTE ]
Same here, I got my 1st 50 by mostly soloing. Granted it was my Mastermind but still. Again it was well before the xp curve.
Also I purposly did the praetorian arc on my 2nd 50 solo just to see if I could, I only died once and that was facing up against Tyrant.
So yea, The content is optional, you don't have to solo aand Most things in the game are doable solo if that is your preferred method of playstyle

If any such offer was that Impersonal I would be (quite frankly) rather insulted: (see pre-prepared reply to any such offer below).

Have to echo this.
I'm sorry for the jobs lost, but if we get an offer like this ncsoft can go screw themselves.
As most of have said I've spent a lot of time and money on this game. Theres a lot of emotion in my characters. A lot of cherished memories.
Whatever happens I want to keep my characters and my names or i'm gone aswell. -

I wasn't suggesting that tankers loose there gauntlet power in fact it would be pretty necessary for my suggestion to work properly.
What i was suggesting was that for every opponent taunted to the tank (via taunt or gauntlet) the tank would receive a damage boost
So the tank inherent would sacrifice nothing for teaming and would in fact be more useful as they would cause more damage.
while solo the taunt damage boost would give the tank some more damage making it less of a slog.
Also they could perhaps up the tanker damage cap as it seems very low.
[/ QUOTE ]
Im liking this
A damage boost even if just related to gauntlet for up to 16 ememies the first giving the biggest boost etc etc would help immencely in keeping aggro away from a trigger happy blaster. -
To the op
Yes please!
More SFs can't go amiss

I got this urge to post in this thread... But what should I say?

Well, you could say that this should go in the technical sub section rather then general?
(I just realised that as I got to work, sorry Rappy!)

The only high impact death causing incidents around here happen when someone jumps off the top of the St. George's Indoor Market car park to their deaths. Admittedly, living in Stevenage can do that to you, but still.
Also, Stevenage isn't a city, it's a town. Ask Lewis Hamilton, he was born here. Also Xanthus...and we never see the two of them in the same room at the same time.
...Hmm.
[/ QUOTE ]
At least you weren't born here. I'm stuck with the horrible condition of this chav infested hole being my damn home, by extension meaning I have a perverse pride in its monumental nose dive from being an unremarkable new town into a drunken cesspit of sponging teenage mothers with fewer IQ points than a can of beans, and raceway for various methods of chavscum transportation that are an insult to the awesome progress of human civilisation and thousands of years of history required to produce the small, poorly designed internal combustion engines these whooping baboons obsess over.
It's MY dump! And by Satan and everything unholy in the world, ONLY I GET TO SAY HOW BAD IT REALLY IS!
[/ QUOTE ]
Ha Ha Ha! Beans!
I killed myself laughing at this!
Ah its so true, although not strictly limited to Stevenage -

He worked in a GAME store. Why on Earth did you think he'd have an excellent knowledge of games? (And he was a manager too.)
Before those who are gamers and work in GAME get on my case, I'm basing my knowledge on the 8 or so GAMEs in and around Glasgow/Edinburgh that I've visited, which are full of people who will drool if you ask them anything more complicated than, "Do you have Wii Fit?"
[/ QUOTE ]
No I didn't really expect him to have good knowledge of very much actually.
It's just their job to know these things. How does a person get to a managerial position at a GAME store if they don't have a working knowledge of games? -
How odd, I was going to start this very thread...
While I was Grazing the PC games section of Game Aberdeen I was approached by the store manager who naturally asked "is there anything I can help you with?"
So just for giggles, instead of my usual response of "no im fine" It dawned on me to ask if they have any copies of CoH/V or ncsoft timecards.
The response I got was no the servers have shut down!!! ...
I promptly corrected his blasphemy.
I actually took a little offence to someone thats "supposed" to have excellent knowledge of games telling me the game I know and love is lond dead...
